Hi everyone! As we approach the date, Monica and I will check in more often. We are excited about all of the new entertainment options for this cruise.

My mom has expressed an interest in going on this cruising. Although we have a Cat. 2 room, we are cruising with another couple for their honeymoon and they are not excited about "mom" coming along.

Is there anyone here who might be looking to save some money by sharing a room? Maybe someone here knows a friend who wanted to travel as a single but could not afford the cruise on their own. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks!

David and Monica

Just my two cents here. So please don't take any offense to it.

I would feel so uncomfortable cruising/sharing the same room with someone I barely know(reminds me of summer camp), especially on a 10 day vacation. Anyways good luck with whatever you decide to do. Hopefully you find some one or just book a room for her.

Welcome and see you on the ship.

True!

But, I'm shocked that a couple on their honeymoon would want to share a cabin! ICK!
A Cat 2 (or even a 1) wouldn't be enough privacy for me! LOL! :teeth:

I wasn't even thinking of that. I was thinking about the Mom. My mom would kick my ***, if I even thought of making her stay with someone else. :rotfl2:

Stephanie--I tired to send you a PM, but it says but PM box is full.

Steve

You know what? I wasn't even thinking about it but now that you guys mention it, it is different to share a cabin on a honeymoon. Maybe mom would be welcome to share as well. I wouldn't want to hurt my mom's feelings and put her in another cabin.

I deleted some of the unneeded PM's. :) I had been keeping all the ones that have been sent about the roster -- Just in case some kind of freak thing happens and the roster dissappears off the boards.... :rolleyes1

I think the fact that we have paid for entire trip certainly helped with their decision to travel in our cabin.

I guess by now most of you have heard about the terrible wind storm we had in STL yesterday. I heard we made the national news, but of course I wouldn't know! We have been out of power since about 7:30 yesterday evening. The storm blew through knocking down power lines, trees, walls of some buildings, trucks and SUVs. I heard the winds were up to 90 mph! Even the east terminal (Southwest Airlines) was damaged. More than 500,000 in the STL area are without power (over 110,000 in just the N. County area that I live in). To make matters worse, my Mom had her cataract surgery yesterday. The current temp is 99! I'm thinking about looking for a hotel room for a couple of days, but they say you need to look about 35 miles outside of the metro area to find one.

If not for WiFi at St. Louis Bread Co. (Panera Bread for some of you), I wouldn't even be online! They don't think my area will get power back for three days, so I will have to catch up later. I'll try to get to a Bread Co at lease once a day.

The temps are suppose to drop tomorrow to at least 80s. Ughh...more bad news! While I was typing this I got an alert for severe thunderstorm watch until 10 pm tonight.

I need a VACATION!!!!!

How kind of you to do that for them. ......... If you would like room mates on other cruises we would gladly offer ourselves:rolleyes1

DisneyGirlTinkerbell,

Stay safe!
My hope is that power is returned sooner than the estimate.
Hope your mom is OK.

Hammock question ....

I noticed on a different thread they were talking about people saving deck chairs/hammocks etc. Some people seem to be pretty set on getting a hammock and keeping it.

What I would like to know is how many hammocks at CC are there? I would like to use one for about 20 minutes or so, just to say I did, and take some pictures .....does this seem possible. Or do I have to be first off the ship to be able to do it. What has your experience been?

I will add the new ones and update when you do Stephanie! :thumbsup2

Great! I wish more of the people that are on the roster would post! I know that one of the persons PM'd me to ask if this was a group that already knew each other. I told them *No, And we would love for you to post so that we can get to know you!*. :) I don't believe that they've posted again on this thread... :sad2:

I've never even noticed the hammocks.... Believe me NO ONE would call me *Miss Observent*! :lmao:

If you read the thread you might have seen that I'm one of the people that don't believe in being allowed to *save* anything! Not hammocks, not deck chairs and not seats in the theater.
