Well... looks like the t-shirt is a NO-GO... apparently there is a copyright rule that I'm infringing upon... YIKES, Looks like I'm a ... Oh well... I tried... ok... who else has an idea? A nice graphic... a picture of the ship at Castaway Cay...? I NEEEEED a t-shirt! My family and I may have to resolve to wearing our "11 Nights in Paradise" shirts!

Hi everyone...

I've been lurking as all the posts were flying around what the t-shirts, lanyards, and door magnets should look like. Like Alex with the lanyards I would like to get this settled, since I am in charge of producing the door magnets . I don't want to wait until the last minute due to the sheer number of these that will be needed.


Here is what I've picked up on lurking in the scenes...everyone seems to like the Mickey head designs (either the water design or the ship), we can still use that for the door magnets even if it won't work for the t-shirts. We just need to decide which one and what we would like it to say. I can use either design and change the text using the Walt signature font like on the "How low..." design (post #1002).


I was planning to print the door magnets:

• on 8 1/2 X 11 or legal size paper (magnetic strip on the back).
• with our cruise dates, list of ports, and proud DIS Board Member on the sign
• with username and first names (if you have more than one cabin under the same username, with different occupants in each cabin...this will get tricky). For multiple cabins-same usernames, send me a PM with the details...example say DisneyGirlTinkerbell family has one cabin for Mom (me!) and another cabin for DSs (same username...different first names for the second cabin). Just send a PM with the correct first names for each cabin. If you listed separate cabins on the roster...I will follow that list.

I wasn't planning to laminate these, so that I can provide them at no cost. If you think we should laminate, let me know and I'll check into costs.


Let me know if this is agreeable and which design you would like. By next Saturday we should call a halt to the voting, so I can get to work on the final design and start printing.

WOW DisneygirlTinkerBell... that is too nice of you as I know this can get expensive... And if you are mailing them out before hand, we can laminate them ourselves... otherwise I feel lamination is necessary so they won't get torn
... I know that I want to keep mine for my scrapbook.

I pick the "Water Head Mickey" for our 4 staterooms... EnchantedPlayroom and SandysPlayhouse.. our names are on the roster, but if you want, I can resend them to you in a PM.. just let me know.

Thanks so much for doing this, If there is anything I can do to help you, $$$ wise, please let me know. I'm sure others on this board will also be willing to help defer the cost of ink, paper, laminate sheets.. mailing, etc. Just put the word out. I for one, will help you.

Disneygirltinkerbell: I too will help with $$$ if you need. I don't really care what the design is!! I am happy with anything However, I think it would be best if they were laminated, so they would last.

I like the Mickey head with the ship. We have 2 cabins and you can just put half of our names on one and half of our names on the other. I would also be happy to share in part of the $$$. Just let me know the amount. Thanks for doing so much to make our cruise a little more special.

My DH and DS spent the morning golfing as this is one of their favorite things. This evening we are having a BBQ.

It is very hot here today. It reminds me of the WONDERful weather we will have on the cruise.

It's Fathers Day here in the UK too so I've had a fairly relaxing day. I had a lie-in and then went to a car-boot sale. We live on the east coast so we then went for a walk down by the sea for a short time. My DS 13 Alex then spent the afternoon down the beach with his friends so the house was even quieter. It's been hot here (yes we do have the occasional hot day in the UK!) so we've taken it easy for the rest of the day.

Whilst I'm here, can I seize the opportunity to mention the genorosity of the people on these boards who give up their time so willingly to prepare lanyards, tee-shirts, door-magnets, designs etc. etc. It is really kind of everyone involved to do so much for a bunch of people they have never met before but nevertheless will go out of their way to make their holiday (vacation) and cruise extra special.

Many, and most sincere thanks to everyone.

My DH today....

LOL! My dh today change the coffee to Dr Pepper. And if you could see the screen it would be COV or COH. 8ds is playing WOW. And 26ds is playing Counterstrike.
Our breakfast room was converted to a computer rooms a couple of years ago -- we have counter tops w/cabinets underneath along 2 walls. With enough room for our computer chairs to roll around.
15dd and I are surfing the Disboards.
And just in case everyone thinks we are ignoring 4dd -- she's been sick so, she is just laying around.

It's nearly a 100 degrees outside so, too hot to do much! I did make some Mickey head t-shirts with the flour/water design and spray fabric paint. They turned out *ok* but, noe great. I need to practice some more! Luckily I bought lots of 2/$5 t-shirts at Michaels' Friday.

He's just gone to bed (it's 21:10 here) so I asked him and he told me he will be but hasn't yet - I know he's been very busy for most of yesterday as he had loads of homework and as regards today, he didn't go on-line. Tomorrow, he's off to choir so he will probably be in contact on Tuesday - I'm like his diary-secreatry!

Happy Fathers Day to all the DIS Dads.

We just got back from our annual tradition of spending Fathers Day Weekend at the Hard Rock Hotel in Orlando. Every year my family and my best friend and her family go there from Fri- Sun. And we always go to Ohana on Sat night. It was delicious as usual.
