Well hello!

This is sailing Sandy, cruising Chris and Robert looking forward to our 5th Disney cruise. Weve been on the 3 day, the 7 day Eastern, the 7 day Western, and the 7 day Eastern (again) on the Halloween cruises :scared1: , but decided to try a Royal Caribbean. RCI was nice but definitely not Disney :earsboy: :earsboy: :earsgirl: . So, obviously, we're back to
Disney. Looking forward to a great 10 day cruise. How many days are left? Robert is eight, but will be nine on the cruise and looking for some to talk to in the meantime. Any takers?

Welcome aboard!! Glad you are joining us. We have two little guys, Michael and Jeffrey. They will be 8 and 9 when we sail. The eight year old will turn 9 on the cruise. I am sure they would love to meet up with Robert on the cruise.

Hope everyone had a great weekend. Found some great deals on embroidered sweat shirts at the Disney store. They were only $4.99. Also found scarves hats and gloves for $1.99. I was hoping to find some souvenirs for our trip, but nothing really caught my eye. We got another cold snap here and some snow. I wish we were on the cruise in the warm sunshine. I can taste the fruity drinks right now. I hate to wish the spring and summer away, but my husband and I are super excited about this trip. :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

Anybody else excited?

I have a ds that will be 8 in a month and he would probably love an email pal about the cruise!
PM me!

I know what you mean! DH and 14dd are excited enough for everyone in this house! LOL! That's one of the reasons that we added a 3nt cruise to our trip next month. DH really wanted me to add a 7nt --- I told him the kids and I don't have 2 wks free at that time of year! :rotfl:
Last night he was talking about seeing if one of our older children (25 & 22) could watch the 3 younger for a week so that we can do Disney sans kids! :) We'll see....

I know it was one that a bunch of specialized firefighters from out of state ended up dying while fighting it..... So, sad.
Maybe that was the Storm Mountain fire??? I know they have a memorial for a fire that took many firefighter's lives.

Welcome Strissel.

Welcome Strissel. We have been on 2, 4 dayers, the Eastern, the Western, the PC Eastern and now the 10 day Wonder. It sure gets addicting! Sounds like you are as bad as us!

Speaking of drought. We got 2 snowflakes over the weekend. Think that will help?

We have just been blessed with a rain and snow combo. Those of you in a drought I wish I could send it your way. We have had so much rain lately that our backyard is like a swamp. :(

I was up early and had a few minutes to check our thread and noticed no one had posted. It seems everyone's lives are soooo busy these days. I know our boys really keep us running. If it isn't one child's sporting event you can be sure the other two have a game of some sort. Hope everyone has a good day.

The days AND weeks seem to just fly by. I am so looking forward to a relaxing cruise. I was very spoiled, being able to go to China for two weeks over the holidays to visit our daughter, but it was NON-STOP. I love my cruises, since I am comfortable with the routine, and can just relax, do just what I want to do, and not be fretting over what I might be missing.

I agree Miss Eeyore. There is nothing like the excitement of the FIRST cruise. You have to do and see everything. Then after that one, you can just sit back and do nothing if that is what you wish.

I agree. The rush of the first cruise is exciting. It is so nice not to have to super plan every minute and just do the things that really interest you or nothing at all. Miss Eeyore, we have also been to China. Isn't it fascinating? The food, the people and the shopping in Hong Kong were fantastic.

It sure is addicting! This will be our 25th DCL cruise. We've been on Carnival, Royal Carribean, Celebrity, and Holland America, but we keep coming back to DCL, it's still the best we have found. We are also staying on board for the 11 day cruise, we have done all the DCL "firsts" and it will be the Wonder's first 11 day cruise. We feel like we are home when we step aboard the DCL ships. We never seem to sit back and relax- too much stuff to do and see. Can't wait for Sept. to get here. Alex :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

It is so cool that you have been able to cruise so many times. I hope someday we reach that number too.

What's really funny about this, our 5th Disney cruise, is that we have the same cabin. I tend to get lost really easy and remembering just one cabin number and taking a left from the elevators at the with the fashion prints from the Mary Poppins movie has become a habit. :cheer2:

I've been married for more than 20 years and still couldn't drive to my in-laws house if you paid me. My husband must know 10 different ways to get there.

Just waiting for that creme brulle. The waiters would give me seconds/thirds to take back to the room for a late night snack. :cool1:

I'm very excited :sulley: , we changed changed our room from cat 6 to 5...I know, no big difference except the deck (we're on 7 vs. 6). We had a cat 5 on our last trip and when we booked earlier this month, there were no cat 5's port side mid ship (I know...picky, picky) well, I've been checking every day or so to see if something opened up and one did!!! I emailed DU and it was changed for me within minutes!!

It's 5 rooms down from where we were on our last cruise, which is wonderful!!

Hi everyone! We are currently booked on the Holiday Cruise, but I am considering switching to this one because of the price difference (just about half!) I did not consider it originally because DS will be starting high school and I can't take him out, but now he is thinking about staying at the same private school where he has been going, and they don't start until later in September. Another issue is that he really, really wants to go at Christmas. There are a few other things in favor of the holiday cruise, so I need some convincing that this will be just as good. Can you guys help me out?

What a fun reason to visit China! I've been to Hong Kong but, not mainland China. Dh has been to both.

We're going to be on the Sept cruise. That sounds like the best reason ever! :rotfl: :rotfl: J/K. I'm sure they would both be wonderful cruises!

My DH Tivo'd the DCL show on the travel channel before christmas...all he wants to do is watch it, we are watching it again now for about the 20th time. He can never remember which one we are going on....oh boy :teeth:
