Let's only hope that the cruise is just us few. Maybe they would turn over the Lab to the adults again. Wouldn't that be fun??

Love the pics!

Does anyone have a guesstimate of how far in advance dcl releases specific info about shore excurisions for special itenierys?

No. But, I need the information soon, also! I love to research before I decide what I'm going to do! :goodvibes
Dh just wants me to do all the research and then sign him up for stuff. :rotfl2:

This will be our third cruise. For the first one I really didn't do any research, the second one I planned things out a little better....and for this one, since we are going to such different islands, I want to make sure to pick the best shore excursions....

I know what you mean! I'm getting the 2006 Passporter cruise book for myself, 22dd & 25 ds so, that we can all start planning! I've already given our 2005 book to our 22dd so, that she can get an idea of the types of things to do onboard. We don't normally pay for adult children's vacations. :) But, dh wanted a big trip that included all of our kids and it will probably be our 27th anniversary gift to ourselves.
We got a Cat 8 for our 2 oldest so, they are happy since it has a $500 statroom credit! They didn't do the $500 statroom credit for booking this cruise on the suites.

Hello everyone. We, too will be joining you on this terrific trip. This will be our 6th Disney cruise. We took advantage of the $500 shipboard credit on our November 12th Magic Eastern cruise. This trip is being planned as a surprise for our 3 children, ages 8, 9, and 14. They are all boys and they will flip when we get on the plane and tell them where they are going. We are planning a 5 day stay at SSR prior to the cruise. Our 8 year old will be celebrating his 9th b-day while on board. We are so excited.

Welcome, how exciting!!!!

Welcome aboard Smola09'sMom. We booked on the Panama Canal cruise and got the 500.00 credit as well. That sure will come in handy!! Just need more to really enjoy it!! Heidi and I are really into souvenirs!!

I am sorry to say I might not be able to take the cruise. My DH is scared that our DS 7weeks should not go on a cruise. I already spoke to his DR who said it would be fine. If we did'nt do the cruise my DH wants to go to WDW for christmas through new years 2006. I am torn between WDW and DCL! :confused3

Wow, that is hard to make a decision. I love WDW but I also love DCL for a different reason. I guess what I am saying is that you would have fun no matter where you go.

Oh-no, what a tough decision. Wherever you end up you will be surrounded by all of Disney's magic so you should be fine wherever you decide.

That is a really tough decision, but I agree you can't go wrong with either choice. At least both choices include Disney magic. Happy brainstorming and good wishes on a successful decision. :wizard: :goodvibes :wizard:

We have decided to go with WDW. We are going to pay out of pocket for some of our DS surgery and he will have three more this year. It will just make more sense to go to WDW. I hope that everyone has a wonderful time on the cruise. Maybe someday I will make it on the DCL.

:grouphug: Don't be disappointed, WDW is awesome and some day you will cruise DCL. Hang in there, get happy and still keep in touch with us.

Welcome! And what a great way to celebrate a b-day! Our 7ds will turn 8 on on our Feb cruise -- the day scheduled for CC!

I'm sorry you may not make it! What a tough choice!!! DH would pick the cruise over the parks... not sure which I would pick!

It took me awhile to find our thread because it was on page 2. Hopefully we can get it and keep it bumped up to the first page. I can't wait to start planning excursions for this cruise. Does anyone have any idea about what might be offered in the new ports of call?

AS soon as the 2006 Passporter for the cruise comes out -- supposedly next week.... -- I am hoping to get an idea of the excursions! :)

The 11 night cruise has over 2,000 replies!!!!! Where are all the people that were on this thread in the beginning???

Has anyone ever stayed on one of the lower decks, like deck 2? Was it very noisy? We may try to get an upgrade at the port. If anyone has any input please let me know.
