9/7/02 Fellow Cruisers

Shell,
Is your husband going to "Pawk the caw on the boolavawd"?

I do improv (like "Whose Line"), and that is the only way I can do an east coast accent is to say that line in my head.

We'll be getting to Port Canaveral that day, so we'll see everyone on board. We haven't been able to pull the suitcases out yet. The dog gets very depressed when he sees the suitcases, so we have to leave them in until the last minute!

I'm so excited. Only 2 work days left.
Don't worry Shell, I'm from NY and will be getting cawfee every day. I'll store some of my clothes in the draws, and I will say hi to all yous guys.

Am I the only one that is over anxious? I've been packed for weeks. Family and I will be staying at the Hilton Oceanfront in Cocoa Beach, on Friday. So I guess, we'll be seeing everyone on board.
How are we supposed to wear the ribbon?
Can't wait to meet y'all...that's the GA Peach in me.

Now I read that the 9/21 people are being upgraded! How frustrating! I am resisting the temptation to pay for an upgrade at the port. Maybe the less than full ship will be a blessing for us all. The tension is building here as well. I need to pick the dry cleaning up today and that is the last little thing on my list!

Thank you myfairygodmother for the answer. I couldn't figure out why it said Bahamas. I will get those filled out today.

Kim, do you still want to do high tea?

Janice

Not only are the Sept 21st folks being upgraded but even the spring 2003ers are being upgraded. It's okay. I am not going to take it personally. When I took a look at cruise-locator.com, I noticed lots of rooms for 9/7 and 9/21 on all decks. When a ship is only half full, they probably don't give upgrades do they? I am assuming a ship is half full but I am not sure. The only thing I do know is that at one time the 1st seating was completely filled and the late seating was the only one available. Now with the revised dining times, I bet there were lots of dining changes.

3 Days!!!

OK, we're FINALLY ready to go (only 3 hours late this time - DW is getting better!)

Just want to say thank for all of the help & advice & we'll see you on board! Couldn't find green ribbons but we should be easy to spot - look for the 5 of us dressed in red & blue MM tropical wear - NO, we're NOT with the band, we're on VACATION!!!

 See y'all there!

Two Days!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:bounce:

Man, I gotta do so much between now and Saturday!
I gotta mow, clean out the garage so I can get both cars in, go to the bank, etc. etc. etc.

Here's hoping the weather improves considerably!

Janice -- DH just told me he saw your question about high tea, and I ABSOLUTELY want to go to high tea:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc !!

I'm just trying to get stuff done at work so I can cruise with a guilt-free conscience -- but obviously I'm not doing much at the moment!;)

I get a pedicure tonight and also start laundry and packing. Cleaned the house last weekend so we won't come home to a dirty house!

You know, I forgot how much work it was to get ready for vacation, but Disney cruises are SOOO worth it!

Janice or anybody else that wants to do high tea, I'm totally game.

:)

See everybody Saturday!

Ladies -- I came up with a simple way we can make high tea reservations at Palo's without a lot of hassle. I really want to do this, but in a way that's convenient for everyone. My idea is, whichever one of us gets to Palo's first to make reservations can put in the ressie under a "code" name like 'disboard ladies,' and whoever comes along after that wants to join us can just add their numbers to the reservation. Let's just agree on the name to put the ressies under so everyone can find it.

Do you think that would cause the waiters much headache? It was the most hassle-free way I could think of. Any opinions? Suggestions? I'm open to anything as long as it's easy. I know those people with kids will not be able to get to Palo's at a certain time as I realize kids tend to run the show.

Let me know what you think!:smooth:

Kim,
I think that is a brilliant idea! We will be there early so I could make the reservation or add to it. Let's decide tonight what the reservation name needs to be and what day and time you would like to go.
"Disboard Ladies" is fine. Just let me know what time would be best for everyone. I am open to any time.

Janice

Janice --

OK, yes, let's go ahead and use DISboard Ladies for our reservation name. I also wanted to thank you bunches for offering to make the high tea ressies. We probably won't be able to get there Saturday before 1:30 or 2 p.m. because we're using Disney transport, so that would be terrific if you could get us booked for high tea.

As far as a day/time for the high tea reservation, I think they do high tea on one of our days at sea, so the day is already set. I'd guess they probably block out a portion of the afternoon for high tea. I think traditionally it's sometime in the afternoon, so to accomodate the ladies in the early dinner seating, I'd say we wouldn't want it any later than 1 or 2, if we could get that time frame. I'm late seating, so time is not an issue for me.

Personally, I'm VERY flexible and will do it any time anyone else wants to. So I'll just ask for the Disboard Ladies high tea reservation and they should be able to find it.

Thanks again, Janice, for helping to pull this together!

Back after an extra day at the park afterwards. Great time was had by all. Burned all my pictures to cd while on the trip so now we just need to sort thru them on the computer!

Tstobb, we too did a day after the cruise. That afternoon rain shower ran a lot of people off so we had no lines. The park was great with no long lines. Hope you had a great time as well.

Now for that post-cruise depression..... ahhhh another topic for discussion.
