I'll be more active after my two upcoming cruises, one out of Baltimore and one on the Fantasy the Saturday after Thanksgiving. Too much to concentrate on before that!

We have cruised the Saturday after Thanksgiving many times. The weather is usually great and the price is pretty good to.

We have a great sunny morning today in Central Florida.
Went to Epcot on Sunday for the Food and Wine festival which was fun.

I saw a couple cruise line buses which got me excited for our cruise

Just thought I would drop by and say hello.

I hope everyone's week is off to a good start.

Mine has been busy. I am packing to move the first part of next month. I have spent 3 days just packing things from my china closet.
So many fragile Disney things I am taking extra care with. Especially the blown glass items. I will never get everything packed at this rate.

Maybe I need to cruise to rest up so I will have the energy to finish packing things.

After lunch I will get back to it.
What is everyone else doing this week?

Looks like I'm back! Pardon my absence ... I've been dealing with Hurricane Sandy repairs ... spent upwards of $65,000 on the house within the past 2-3 months. To add to that, my DW fell in early August ... encountered a large hemotoma ... which eventually required Orthopaedic Surgery ... followed by a unique (and very painful) regimen by a Vascular Surgeon. Currently, the house is almost back to its previous condition ... though Donna is still on the mend. The good news is that Donna should not need additional surgery within the immediate future ... and should be back to near-normal within the next 2-3 months.

In the interim, we are still in the midst of an internet provider ...accordingly ... I am visiting a local interent cafe to catch up on stuff.

Glad to hear Donna is still on the mend!!

Things are quiet here. I have been packing stuff all week for the move to the new house. It took me 3 days to pack all the stuff in the China closet. Much of it is extremely delicate and I don't want it to break.

Donna and I will be in WDW from 12/31 - 1/5 ... we'd be more than happy to swing by to take some of those WDCC off of your hands! We will be spending time with DIS-friends of our from the Netherlands. Although DW and I already have a DCL cruise scheduled for May 2014, DW wanted to get the heck out of Dodge (Pennsylvania) ... and we booked another cruise ... this one in January. We will leave directly from WDW.

Here are the scary parts:
1) It's NOT on DCL!
2) It's on RCCL!

No need to lambast us ... it's on Freedom of the Seas (160K ton ship, about 1 year old). It's about 40K sf larger than the Dream or Fantasy ... we figured we'd like to see what the hoopla is all about. Mind you, we realize the extra square footage is FILLED with all sorts of extra-cost opportunities ... you know ... the kind of things you can get at home (extra cost Ben & Jerry's, extra cost hamburger at Johnny Rockets, extra cost coffee, etc). We've a bit skived at someone wanting to charge us for a soft drink with our meal. We're also shocked (well, not really) that we cannot bring soft drinks onboard. You see, I personally cannot stand Coke products. I normally bring a 6-8 pack of 16 ounce resealable plastic bottle of Caffeine Free Diet Pepsi, as it's a great treat for me after dinner, in our stateroom. It's a way for me to cleanse my palate after dinner or cocktails.

It's rather funny ... my sister-in-law sailed RCCL several years ago. I got her hooked on sailing DCL. She rated DCL at a "10" ... then rated RCCL at a "7." In speaking with a Travel Agent friend of mine ... she said she rates RCCL as a "5" or "6" ... docking them for their abysmal customer service, lack of customer appreciation, and "so-so" meals (akin to eating at home) in the MDR. We're sailing RCCL with LOWERED expectations ... and I will be more than happy to let them know when they have met (or worse) my lowered expectations. This cruise will be the first (I can remember), where we are paying more for airfare and other transportation, as compared to the entire cruise. Oy!

FWIW - We have NO INTEREST in rock climbing, golf simulators, or other such stuff which we can do within a 3 mile radius of or suburban Philadelphia home. I feel like Winnie the Pooh when I say, "oh bother!"

No blasting from me. I would love to check out Freedom of the Seas.
I think is you go with an open mind you will find lots of great stuff for you both to enjoy.

We did a 3 day on the Enchantment of the Seas and was very pleasantly surprised with them. The ship was beautiful on the inside the crew was extremely friendly to us. Greg thought the food was very good (I know food varies according to the chef) and there was so much to do there was NO way you could get it all done.

We went to a cake decorating event in the atrium that wasn't normal, it was so funny!! It was the Captain, pastry Chef and someone else I can't remember. The captain if this ship participated in many events and had a great sense of humor. It was worth every penny we paid.

Of course it wasn't a Disney cruise but we went with the idea of not comparing the 2 and had a great time. Yes they do charge for many extra things but there was always free coffee and tea when we wanted it and some flavored waters.

Please let us know how you like it and take lots of photos!!!

Just got home from our 7 day eastern on the Fantasy! DW and I had a wonderful time great servers and tablemates Palo twice and highly recomend the chocolate tasting. Now starting to feel PCD (post cruise depression) unpacking,reviewing the pictures and realising we have to prepare meals but now we start counting the days till we cruise with you all next september unless I can talk DW into a interm cruise in the spring.

Now starting to feel PCD (post cruise depression) unpacking,reviewing the pictures and realising we have to prepare meals but now we start counting the days till we cruise with you all next september unless I can talk DW into a interm cruise in the spring.

Happy to hear you had a great time, of course it's hard not to have a great time on a Disney cruise!! Hope you will share some pictures with us.

After our latest visit to WDW this past September, we added points at VGF! I am so excited but my hubby made me choose between DCL and VGF...well the choice was obvious to me...I took the points. The great part is, I only gave up our cruise for next Feb on the Dream...so I will still be joining you all on the Magic next Sept!
