9/27/14, Returning to the Southern Caribbean

Stephanie,
I love photo pass. We used it when we lived in Oregon and would come out for a vacation. It was so nice to sit in the comfort of our own living room and view the pictures and decide what we wanted.:thumbsup2

Today they started more of their new entrance systems. Annual pass holders got to exchange the old paper card for a new plastic card where you just tap it and then put your finger on the kiosk to enter the park. We tried it and it worked great. Sure hope this speeds up the line to get in the parks.

Hi Bill, nice to see you popping in today.:goodvibes

Kathy

Y'all have fun shopping. I guess I will work on that perpetual list of chores.

Currently 66F with a high around 72F expected today. The only problem is they say it is going to be breezy later this afternoon with winds around 30mph.

Have a great day.

Bill

sounds heavenly to me!!! :goodvibes

Can't wait to exchange our APs for the plastic cards when we get there in May...we are making it in just under the wire! Though I would LOVE to have a bracelet...nothing to carry!!

Good morning everyone,

Boy for starting out so chatty we are sure quiet lately. I think Stephanie and I are chatting among ourselves lately. Bill did pop in too which was nice.

Maybe I will start posting questions or trivia again. Perhaps that will give people a reason to post here more often?:goodvibes

I am heading to WDW in a few minutes but when I return I will post a question if nobody else has posted one by then.:thumbsup2

Kathy,

I think part of the reason is because of the Facebook page. People tend to gravitate towards one or the other. I find myself with both DIS and Facebook open at the same time going back and forth.

Have a great day. I haven't looked to see if we are going to get blown away again today or not.

I go both places too. It is really windy here today. I about blew across the parking lot at WDW today.:lmao:

I understand wind.

This was yesterday afternoon during one of our 50-60mph wind storms.

Glad I wasn't driving in that.:worried:

When we lived in Oregon during the winter it was common to get 50 or 60 MPH winds and gusts 75 MPH a lot. The coast there gets up to 100 MPH wind gusts often in the winter. I hated it then and still hate high winds. They can be so scary sometimes and making it impossible to see to drive safely.

Kathy

I agree. At least they said it was only for special occasions.

I will be curious how many letters and comments they get on this. The last change for special occasions a few months ago they made her tall and skinny in evening wear and people exploded over the change. I think it was just for some fashion show or something like that. So I figure they will catch a lot of complaints about this too.

You just shouldn't mess with perfection!!:thumbsup2

Ok,

Question of the day:

If you have cruised DCL what is your favorite activity to attend on board?

If this is your first cruise which activity on board do you want to try for sure?

Answer:
I have 2 must do's on board. All the Art of Entertaining series and trivia.:thumbsup2

Art of Entertaining is a fave, but mostly just relaxing is my activity of choice!

good morning...though how good I can't say as I look out my window at our most recent snowfall---looking at about 3 inches so far and it is still falling...we were told to expect less than an inch of slushy stuff. Not so much. We couldn't make it out of our driveway this morning due to the ice under the snow, so we are snuggled up at home.
We know if the driveway presents problems, the hill out of the neighborhood is 5 x's worse! And since it was a 'rain event' there was no pre-treating of any main roads

Off to do some house stuff since I am home!

Hi Stephanie,

I hope the ice melts soon for you. I hate driving in ice and snow. When I lived in Oregon that happened.

We have a nice sunny day today but will only be in the 70's today.

I also need to do housework today. I do have laundry started.

Back later,

Kathy

Oh how we long for moisture. A nice long, slow rain would be nice.

My first cruise we had tea with Alice. That is my favorite Dis movie, so it was so much fun for me!
The last cruise when we were alone, me and hubby went to the coffee bar. Not an event per se, but something we really enjoyed. The barista :confused3 (sp?) made me all kinds of tea drinks, custom for me. I don't like coffee. It was a good time to unwind, relax and talk about the day.

This cruise I want to do the drink tastings.

Anyone else have favorite place on the ship?
