9/27/09 Wonder 4 night Cruise

I'm packed!!! After over-analyzing and agonizing about what to take, I finally just zipped the suitcase shut. I'm DONE!!! We leave FRIDAY and will be staying at the Radisson Resort at the Port! Can't wait to see you all!

I'm not packed yet, but I've been gathering things into a central location so I can shove it all in the suitcases tonight and tomorrow. We drive down on Saturday. Staying at the Sheraton Four Point. Plan to be at the port by 11am so we can get on the ship as soon as they will let us.

I can't believe it's almost time!!!!
In between my moms final illness in August and funeral this month, it seems like the cruise was never going to get here, but now here it is :0

Tomorrow is laundry/packing/and shopping for supplies to make the FE's while we are visiting family in Central Florida. We will be heading over to the Radisson on Saturday afternoon.

We are looking forward to meeting everyone in the next few days. For those of you traveling...be safe!

We will be at the port around 10 ish. I like to arrive as soon as the port opens. We will be wearing matching Mickey and Minnie shirts. My mother and sister will also be wearing the matching Minnie shirts. Have to finish packing and loading up the van. See you all tom.

What an amazing trip!!!! I don't think it's even possible that ANYONE had as much fun as I did!!!! ((giggle)) The FE's I think were a HUGE success!!!! I just kept thinking, "No Way!!! There's MORE in our pockets?????" It was so cool. Like Christmas, only better!!! Loved the gifts!!! Jojo's favorite was the squeaky princess crown toy! Loved the pirate chests on Pirate night too! But they were ALL fabulous!!!!!! Thanks again everyone!

We gave you the doggie crown and Pirates chest, your family was returning to the room when we filled the FE. My kids we excited to meet JoJo. I am glad you like the gifts and we felt to same way about the amount of stuff. Kids were also looking forward to returning to the room for more stuff. Glad you had a great time.

For those of you who just came home, I hope you had a fantastic time!

I was hoping one of you might be able to answer a question for me:

The Wonder was due to go to Freeport, Bahamas for it's drydock starting tomorrow. There has been talk of the shipyard workers there possibly going on strike. I am a wreck about it, since we are on the first cruise after, the 10/18. I was wondering if any of you heard anything about this from any of the crew members when you were on board?

They began to tear down certain parts of the ship while we were onboard (empty rooms, bar overlooking adult pool was completely tore apart). Wood protectors went over the floors on outdoor decks and large rolls of carpet were tucked in extra spaces around deck 4. The crew talked about what they were doing during drydock and I believe the location was changed to Norfolk, VA.

Hope all is finished before your trip and have a great time. Please report back with updates and photos.

We had SUCH an amazing cruise!
I'm sorry I missed out on the meetup on Sunday. Turns out I didn't pack enough panties for my trip, so once we got our luggage, I had to do laundry! hahahahahahaha!!!! Soooooo, I was unpacking and doing laundry the first 2 hours on the ship! I didn't finish until right before dinner!

I absolutely LOVED the FE gifts. I learned so much, and got many new ideas for our next cruise. I definitely felt as though my FE gifts were not as good as everyone else's, so I promise to do better next time!

Thanks for the information! Hopefully, our cruise will happen. The talk of a strike in Freeport has me worried. If it does, I will do my best to get some pictures up here of anything new.

It was so sad waking up this morning and realizing that I wasn't on the Wonder!~ What an amazing vacation!!!! We loved the FE gifts...we all loved them...(Sarah was clutching various bags of candy each day lol)
Gabe's fav was the blue toy boat..it's his new lovie!!!

We had such a great time we rebooked for 9/26/10 AND bought a DVC for Bay Lake Towers.

I can't wait to go *home* again!!!

Sorry I missed the meetup...Sarah had a meltdown and we confined her to the cabin for the safety of everyone else..lol..she has a most piercing scream when she gets on a roll. Hopefully we will see each other around the parks!

I'm still wandering around my house looking for the buffet. It doesn't seem to be anywhere.

Our boys had a fabulous time with the FE exchange. The loved coming back to the room and finding more stuff in their pockets. They also enjoyed passing out the gift bags that we had put together. They made a point to "sneak" to the FEs and quick put the gifts in the pockets and run away. They thought it was a lot of fun.

I also saw one FE on deck 2 that I didn't have on my list. We had some spare leis and stuff, so we stuck something in each of the pockets. I don't know who that was, but I figured it didn't hurt to give them something too.

Thanks to all of you. We had a fantastic vacation and we loved all the FE things. The mini scissors came in handy on the last day when it was time to get the kid club wrist bands off the boys. They kept tugging at them until I remembered that I could just snip them off.

I can't wait to go back...for all the stuff we missed, it was the most relaxing vacation I've EVER taken

Hi everyone,

We just got home today after a couple of days at WDW. Thanks so much for all those wonderful FE gifts!!! Hope everyone had a wonderful vacation!!!

The kids had such a good time and were so excited to find gifts when they woke up in the morning or when we returned to the cabin at night. It really made the cruise extra special.

I'm so sorry we didn't get to the meet. We had a couple of problems at the beginning and at the end of the cruise.

I left my suntan lotion, brush and downy wrinkle
release home. We got lost the morning of the cruise trying to find a Target and then we left DDs suitcase at the rental car center. Luckily Disney called Budget and they brought us our suitcase or DD would have had no clothes.

Wednesday night DD tripped and fell pretty hard on deck 9. There was a gap in the wooden boards they put on the floors. She has a bad bruise to her hip.
Thankfully she wasn't hurt more seriously. Not too happy with Disney preparing for drydock before the cruise even ended

We were on this cruise. Wish we would have gotten involved in the DIS activity and this thread ahead of time. We booked a 7 nt eastern on the Magic for 10/23/10 and can't wait! Definetly sounds like we need to get involved with the FE on the next cruise.

I had a great time as well even though I didn't get to meet many of you. It was weird to have them "start" drydock before we even got back to port. so strange to see the pool areas devoid of chairs.

Loved the fun FE stuff. Thank goodness for the first aid kit! I cut myself with my razor the last night. Small cut, but at least I had a band-aid thanks to my FE pals!

Just so you know, the characters I made for everyone are from acid-free paper. So if you scrapbook, just take the magnet off the back and you are good to go. Otherwise, keep them and use them as a door decoration the next time you cruise.

Thanks so much for the magnets. I will definetly use them for my scrapbook It must have taken you forever to make them all. Did you use the cricut?
I have a cricut and was thinking about buying one of the Disney cartridges.
Are they that difficult to make?
