9/27/09 Wonder 4 night Cruise

got my room number!!! We are on deck two, stateroom 2017! I am very excited about this, because we booked 4 rooms in cat 12 and were told we would probably not be close together (room gty), but three of the four are all in a row!!!! and the fourth is just on the other side (a 25??) room, so that's not too bad!!!

Hey, I haven't forgotten about the FE. Work and health stuff has been a real pain this week. I'm going to get on my computer this evening and post what everyone who wishes to participate needs to do. Hopefully, it will explain everyone's questions.

Since people are getting stateroom numbers, I'm going to have to log in to see if I got mine yet.

Look for a post this evening.

Thanks Turk, unfortunately, I won't know the results of my tests until Oct. 12 :sad2:

At least I have the cruise to relax on. :cool1:

Ok, here goes. If you wish to participate in the FE exchange (goodies exchange) then please pm me the following information. If your group has multiple cabins, please send a separate pm for each cabin. That will help keep me from getting confused.

sign up for the FE exchange will end on Sept. 6th

Names, disboard name(s) (if any kids, then include age and if male or female):

Stateroom number: more information below

Are you celebrating anything:

Any food allergies we should know in case we give candy or such:

Any information you think we should know?:

Main or late dining:

email address: it will be easier for me to get the information back to you via email. Email addresses will not be given out. It will be for my use with the FE only.

For me (can't explain why just yet ;)) - which of the following is your favorite character (no more than one per person in the cabin: Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy, Pluto, Goofy, Winnie the Pooh, Piglet, Tigger, Eyore, Cinderella, Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, Belle, Pocahontas, Mulan, Ariel, Jasmine, Tinkerbell, Fawn, Iridessa, Silvermist or Rosetta.

Staterooms: Many are now getting there stateroom numbers after being GTY for so long. If you do not get your number until after Sept. 6th, let me know asap so I can get the information out. If there is a change at boarding, please get a note to me so we can try to let everyone know.

Goodies: While finding stuff in your FE is like Christmas, you do not have to spend like it is Christmas. Little stuff is great. Some of you may choose to do something for each person in the cabin while others (like me) will do a single cabin goody bag (I do try to include something special for the kids though). If we have a large signup, then single cabin goody bags may be the way you have to go. It is up to you.

Goodies can be fun little things such as:
1. homemade stuff (I've made coloring pages and search-a-words before)
2. candy, nuts, whatever
3. magnets - from your home state or Disney
4. something for the cabin door (must have a magnet on the back as we can't use tape) - i.e. mickey head with first name on it
5. pen/pencil and a notepad
6. great pictures of Disney - do you have any shots with few to no people in it particularly of the Tree of Life or Cinderella's Castle? Those can be uploaded for screen savers.
7. Think of what you would like to find in yours

I hope this has answered most questions. I'll keep a running tab on the board of who is signed up.

See ya on the ship

Kristi

On my last cruise, we met between 3 and 3:30 in the promanade lounge. Just long enough to meet and then go to cabins to get ready for the lifeboat drill. Anyone interested?

Also, If anyone is getting to the terminal early, maybe we can have a small meeting there too. I'm planning on getting there by 10:30 if I can find my way from WDW okay. :goodvibes

You don't have to sign up for meets, just show up if you can.

Kristi

We also plan to be at the terminal around 10:30am. Driving from Contemporary. We can plan a quick meet at the terminal for those arriving prior to first boarding. Maybe we can all meet around the ship area or on the right side where the sofas and tvs are. We can PM photos of our families or come up with a common tag to id ourselves.

We also are participating in FE and will be at the meet & greet once we are on board. Seems like alot of our children are the same ages, so having familiar faces in the kids clubs will be nice. :upsidedow

Also, no luck with the room changes. They said the ship is sold out of Cat 7-12. We will try for an upgrade at the port but I may just chance it with ear plugs and a white noise machine. :thumbsup2

I'll be at the terminal early too! I don't think I'll be able to make it to the on ship meet though, because I spend almost the whole first day before dinner working out details with Guest services, re: Jolene's importation paperwork, her "potty" spot, etc, etc, etc...

FE Info I've received so far since I've posted info:

1. Kristi (bound2travel)
2. Byejou
3. Megan (Turk82)
4. Donna (allaboutdisney)
5. Jasmine (jasminerk13)
6. Christine (Apriltwin)

I'll update again on Tuesday.

For those of you that are staying the night before at WDW and are driving to Port rather than taking the Disney Cruise Line bus, where are you renting a vehicle and what do you do with it at Port? Is there a rental agency to return to at Port?

Donna (allaboutdisney1967)

We are renting from Avis for 8 days $200, from MCO. I like to have a car just in case. We mostly use Disney internal buses at WDW and since we are staying at Contemporary we have the monorail. :thumbsup2

We have always rented cars for our cruises. We mostly use Budget from MCO and if returned to Budget site it is 1-2 miles past port in Cocoa Beach, closest to ship. They also provided a free shuttle to port at 10am and picked up after cruise to get another car.

If parking at terminal, it costs $15 per day. That is what we are doing this year.

I live in FL, so I'll have my own car at WDW and then use the parking lot at the cruise terminal.

Kristi

So far it looks like just the six cabins in the FE exchange. I've sent a pm to everyone that has posted on this board that hasn't responded. Hopefully we might get a couple more. If not, then six is cool.

I've created spreadsheet in excel. Let me know if you don't have access to excel and I'll reformat the information for you.

I look forward to meeting all of you.

Kristi

Thanks for doing all of the organizing Kristi!

I am so excited!!

But I still don't know what I should buy! LOL.

Thanks to Bound for taking over the FE!
I haven't been able to participate as much as I'd like since June, but thanks to everyone for keeping this meet thread going :)

I will email the stateroom info, and will catch up on all the threads that I've missed.

We will be staying in CoCo the night before and expect to arrive at the terminal as soon as possible.

Can you believe it's only 5 weeks away now????

Lauri

Kristi, I sent you a PM. I just checked my cruise details and we only have 32 more days. It is coming so fast now. Today was the kid's first day of school. My oldest son was already asking me how many more days until our cruise. He is already looking forward to missing school.

Hey everyone,

I'm going to have to wait until Friday night to do an update as my schedule for today got changed. I did get pms from bunny, rvgal and laurio with information.

I have to work through Saturday, so I'll get on when I can. I'm still waiting to see if kfrench, Brandis, tinkerrn, or Jennilynn want to join. I haven't heard from any of them though they have posted on this thread.

Have a :flower3: day.

I know it's kind of late to "name" our cruise...but here is one I'm thinking of putting on t-shirts to wear the first day.

Blown' away on the Wonder

Cool name - but I hope nothing comes along to blow the wonder away - ;)

I can't believe it's 4 weeks from tomorrow!!! :cool1::cool1::cool1::banana::banana::banana:
