GOOD MORNING CRUISERS!!!
Please make sure you use today to say your goodbyes to the last double digit countdown day before the ship sails! As of tomorrow, we're in single digits for sailing!!

I know we have folks going down at different times - or going east as Kamy and crew will do - but we can all say our goodbyes to this one today!

Have a "Mickey Mouse Ice Cream Bar" kind of day! :mickeybar

Hey. I just realized that we are going to try to have a tea party for Victoria's birthday. I am trying to get information from a girl that did it on a Med cruise last month (that is where I got the idea LOL). I sell a Alice in Wonderland tea party tablecloth and I was going to do one for Victoria. ....

Just HAVE to share a magical moment on our Disney cruise in 2008. Mimi and I were walking down the hallway that runs past shutters toward Sudio Sea. It was the middle of the day and we were the only two on the hall when we see Alice - yes THE Alice - walking toward us. We said hello, she was very friendly then asked if we had seen a white rabbit. She was very charming and went on her way to wherever she was going. That is something you are not likely to have happen at the parks!

While I'm at it, later on I ran into the lady that plays "Mary Poppins" on Broadway (one of the special member cruise guests). I talked to her for a minute asked her to wait while I ran and got Mimi. She did and we got some nice pictures with her. Then she came into Wavebands and sat at a table just over from us and enjoyed the evening with the rest of us.

I love Disney! :donald:

Hey fellow Breezers! Sorry so late to the game...been lurking for a few days. Joining me on our first cruise is DGF Wendy and her teen DDs Rachel and Mary. While we won't be partaking in the FE we will look for the gang at the meet at 3:00 on departure day at the Promenade Lounge (if I've read things correctly). Look forward to meeting all you fine and entertaining folks at some point. Oh yeah, we are all longtime Orlandoans and will be in 8548. Everyone travel safe and see you soon!

HOW COOL!!! Was this a 4 day? I mean, could it be possible that we run into her? That would be just TOO MUCH to have ALICE at our tea party!!! The Disney characters have always blown me away with their attitudes. I mean, I expect a nice, cordial character just doing their job. No. They ARE the character. They act like they have been waiting for years to meet your daughter (well child) and they are the most special child on the planet. I was totally blown away with them and from what i have seen on all the TR they are that way on the boat. I just cant wait. With Victoria not really being in the princess stage anymore, she is just going to love this trip.

Have a fantastic cruise :) :) :)

The members cruise sounds like we'd enjoy it, if we don't all get seasick and enjoy our 1st cruise (which I really think we will) I may book - I think we'd enjoy it, and the extras (even at the increases fare) seems like a lot of fun too.

Hmmm...pondering whether we should fly now instead of drive ... my husband seemed a little surprised when I contacted him at work this morning to let him know of the new plans I've been entertaining. I'd love to be able to spend those 'travel days' actually being on vacation at the parks or even NASA. There are pros and cons to each, I've got to hurry and decide though before the $79 fares are gone UGH, I am not good with time constraints  Not sure what to do.

Well, regardless of how we get to the port, we will be there, that's what matters :) :sail:

I used to have a $25 off a round trip ticket code. I will see if I can get it and I will let you have it so dont book anything before tonight. I am glad we are flying but very scared! lol I dont like flying. But I am like you. We would have to leave Friday night, and not get into port until late Saturday. Im glad we decided to fly

WOW! Sound like a nice MAGICAL MOMENT for you and MIMI. Say Mack I failed to fine on the board the book you got to read this cruise, what is it? You ever read anything by Ronald Kessler? I want to pick up one of his, THE TRRRORIST WATCH , I hear it was A very good read.

We are going to feed the dolphins that day too! Which group are you going with?

Hmmm group, not sure about that, I will need to check (I booked the excursion through DCL web-site)...where do you find the assigned group :confused3

I am now considering canceling it and booking directly with Blue Lagoon....much cheaper, just have to catch a cab there.

My only hesitation with booking with Blue Lagoon, is the cancellation policy (with all the hurricane activity going on out in the waters, I have been trying to watch the weather channel to see if any of the 3 systems may have an impact on Nassau...for that matter Castaway Cay...

My last cruise on PCL- we were set to do the dolphin adventure, but hurricane Katrina kinda spoiled that :scared1:

I will be reading Magnificent Desolation by Buzz Aldrin. I don't think I have read any Kessler.

OK - since I shared some I have to share what is probably my favorite magical moment from that DVC member cruise in 2008. It is hard to pick a favorite - well anyway - this one is thanks to Kamy and Steve!

One of the guests was Vince Papale who in 1976 became the oldest NFL rookie in history (age 30). The Disney movie "Invicible" was based on his story. I got to sit directly beside Vince out by the pool and watch the movie on the Jumbo screen. :cool1: He talked to me all through it telling me which parts were accurate and which parts were "hollywood". He pointed out his real life children who had a small but important moment in the movie. He was incredibly friendly and signed autographs and took pictures with people off and on throughout the showing.

Kamy and Steve told me he was out watching the movie and gave me the seat beside him. What good friends!

Disney cruising is awesome!

I am in the "packing zone" and needed a little help,
I thought I read but not sure if the staterooms had irons or not or can you pack a travel iron (i thought this was a no, no but not sure) or can you request an iron to be brought to your room (don't really want to pay to have my clothes ironed)
Or should I just keep ironing as I pack, and hope for the "wrinkle free best" :worship:

Years ago, I bought a very small travel iron for just such times. Guess I better throw it in. Or, I can just show up wrinkled! If i bring it, you can sure borrow it!
