i wore this to Palo.. I saw a bunch without jackets..but ties..

It looks like this was for dinner, and if it was, I think you lucked out. And I love seeing the private room back there - Mack and I had SOOO much fun in there on our last cruise!

I guess it depends on who is working the door. Like I said, I saw folks come up and some had on a dress shirt as you did, with no tie, and they were told to go get a jacket. It does help create a certain ambiance though that personally I like on a cruise. We are ones to take formals and tuxedos on 7-day cruises too though. And I should probably add, I am a rule follower - almost to a fault. But all that aside, Palo is just a lovely place to dine and serves excellent food!!! I can't wait to go back!!! I was trying to load photos to photobucket, so I could post them, but photobucket seems to be having some issues.

Any of you cruisers staying at DVC's OKW before or after our cruise? We are booked in 3 days before and one day post cruise.

We are at AKV, Kidani. Staying 3 days after. It is getting close!!!!!!!!!!!!

I haven't been on a 7 day on Disney just RCCL.

In my experience, on many DCL trips, we were always told that jackets are REQUIRED in Palo. Most men remove them while they eat, but we have even seen them turn someone away to go get a jacket. Just my experience.

Also for FE...we have me, dh and Ds Liam in one room. In the other room we have my mom (CricketMom), my other ds Ryan and my mother in law, Norma.

Good Morning Cruisers!!!! 38 Days!!!! I am so excited, BUT I am already wanting to know I have another something planned besides Aulani in 2012. Hmmm! It is all a mind thing, I know.

I think this weekend might have to hold the finishing touches on FEs and the beginning of packing!!!!!!!!!!!

For those of you who may be wondering if this kind of group is worth your time - we did this on our last Disney Cruise. After getting to know some people through this board and meeting them before we set sail (COME TO OUR 3pm meeting!) we enjoyed the cruise so much more. We would go into the theater and see people from our group and woud sit with them. We would be trying to find a seat on the Castaway Cay tram and there were our DisBoard buddies waving us over. You can find a walking / jogging buddy or a friend to work out with. Everywhere we went we saw people from our group. We met at least 6 people that we still stay in touch with (this was 2 years ago now), have arranged meetings at WDW to see them and have made close / dear friends with another family that we see every chance we get (and they are on this cruise!). We are hanging around at WDW after the cruise and will have dinner with two of our friends that we haven't seen since that cruise who will be down from Michigan.

I think making DisBoard friends and meeting up with them early in the trip makes an incredible vacation even better. I'm looking forward to meeting you all on the 26th (maybe some of you on the 25th at the Radisson?).

I WILL BE AT THE RADDISON! Oh you have me more excited to go! I just KNOW we are going to have the BEST time! I knew I would love a Disney cruise, but knowing so many beforehand, it is like traveling with a big gang of friends! I just can't wait, but the time is ticking faster than I can get ready! Anyone want to volunteer to come to Nashville for the next month to help?? Anyone? Anyone? hehe

I am hoping to watch the Giants game on Sunday (which ironically are playing the Titans!! ) but not sure if that will be possible. I am hoping to see the Colts game, but not sure if they will be showing that one either. I will definitely be at the Monday night game "gathering" if there is one just to see a game. I have no pull towards Gran Bay or Chicago, but I am pretty sure I know ONE PERSON that will be there cheering on.....Da Bears
