Yeah he means that we are under 40 days before we leave. I had to think about it too. But he's right 39 DAYS! 39 DAYS! (but I have 38 hehe)

Hi Jen!

Got my package yesterday! They turned out really cute - Thank you again!

I know. I went with 11 inches wide because it just looked better. Then I started hearing people ask for 9 inches so it wont stick out. I thought EEK! :scared: and started making the width 9 but then you need to adjust the depth of the pockets. I dont really measure the lenght of the total FE. I just plan out 5 1/2 to 6 inch deep pockets and make them 11 inches long to give you 2 inches for the pleats. If you dont want want pleats, then just cut it 9 1/2 maybe to give it some sort of opening, and go with that. Remember this is YOUR FE dont let the directions dictate what you do. Just go with it as a suggestion. k?

Soooo, I am assuming if the body is 10in that is just to wide, and I have to cut it down... hmm:confused: (I already had the back/body done and completed) Guess I will be pulling out the adhesive bond:scared1:

look at days before the cruise.......

Do you all now have a tiny clue how hard a time I am having adjusting to being back in school???? :rotfl2::rotfl::lmao: Man, oh man - And I have it in my siggie. Wow! I need a nap - and I am about to fall asleep right here and now at my laptop!

MImi , Food & Wine starts the 1st of Oct.,does it not? We will be flying back to Chicago that day. WE just LOVE Coronado Springs food court, we ate there A-many-A times, but we never stayed there at that resort. MIMI, is that 3 days PRE. or POST cruise? MIMI , I think what Mark was refering to is we are in/or broke the 30 day BRACKET of days till cruise time. :thumbsup2

We are going down the day before and staying after the cruise for three days. Yes, Food and Wine starts Oct. 1, but that is the day after we get off the ship!!

:cool1: Only 39 days :cool1:

I need to start seeing what i have in the closet to pack or if I need to pick anything up (silly weight yo-yo I am on, I am never sure).

Is there any need for fancy pants clothes on the 4 day cruise ~ or is casual (khakis and polo) fine for the fellas? Trying to decide if I need to pack a suit for dh and ds.

Palo requires a jacket. Straight from the Disney Cruise website, here is the line for 4 night cruises:

DINING DRESS CODE
As part of the "Cruise Casual" policy, it is asked that you do not wear tank tops, swimwear or shorts to the dining rooms. Jeans are allowed.
The evening's attire is determined by the day, not the restaurant. On the 7 day cruises you will have a formal night, semi-formal, Pirate/tropical night and four "Cruise Casual" nights. (Disney Cruise Line will provide a brochure for tuxedo rentals prior to your cruise.)
On the 3 and 4 day cruises you will have one night that is designated "dress-up." Gentlemen will be asked to wear a jacket and ladies either a dress or pantsuit.
As noted above, Palo has its own dress policy.

Thanks, mimi :) We're new to all of this, so I want to make sure we have our bases covered.

pirate:

Thanks again :)

Me too but it looks so bad. All I can say is please don't dress like that at dinner - please!

Khaki pants and a collared shirt will do just fine. A dress shirt and tie for dress up night would be OK. I don't think you NEED a jacket unless you are going to Palo.

You will, however, need some pirate clothing for pirate night! Argh! pirate:

I didn't think tube tops etc would be options, but it's reassuring that the CMs don't make anyone feel badly for their choices. I guess maybe I am over-thinking this a bit.

My son used to love to get dressed up, now that he hit the teen years, he's more casual, I think the cruise might be a nice time to get nice pics of him in a suit.

oooh, I completely overlooked things for dressing on pirate night, thanks for mentioning it. That sounds like it will be a lot of fun pirate: pirate:pirate:

I've seen a lot of things too, but the OP asked what they should wear, and Disney tells us what we should wear. Like you, I wish the CMs and the staff on all lines would enforce the dress code more strictly.

On Pirate Night you'll see everything from people who don't participate to those who wear a bandanna around their heads with regular clothes, pirate t-shirts, some pirate wear, and full pirate regalia; it's great fun!

If you already have it at 10, just go for it. I dont think an inch will make that much difference. Dont pull it apart!!!

Yeah Palos WILL require the correct dress though. I have read stories where they have requested people change their clothes and they will hold their table. Very nice, very professional, but very strick. I love it! I think they need to dress nicer too. This is a cruise guys! I understand no three piece suites and it is a vacation after all but tube tops? Blue jean shorts with holes? Come on! You can do better than that. Capris and a nice top, there ya go. Kakis and a polo shirt...nice. And you can find these at any walmart so you dont have to pay a lot for them. OK off my soap box now

Yes, you have read correctly. I have never been in Palo and seen clothing that shouldn't have been there. I have seen someone told they needed to go get a jacket. They are good about it there.
