Hey! I hope everyone is having a great day. My students who have had me in the past all laughed at me today when I said I was going on a Disney cruise and to the World over fall break. The most common reply was along the lines of, "When do you NOT go to Disney World?" I'm just sharing the love of Disney with them!!!

I teach all of 8th and all of 9th - English. So my 9th grade students had me last year. Some of my 8th grade students had me as 7th graders, because I taught an elective to some of them last year. It's really funny - they do know me well!

I know I'm only about 2 weeks late for this but thought I would put in my two cents:


1. When was your first visit to WDW and where did you stay? 2000 - Shades of Green
2. Favorite Quick Service WDW restaurant? Boulangerie Patisserie - LOVE creme brulee!
3. Favorite Table Service WDW restaurant? Le Cellier - the butterscoth creme brulee was the best!
4. Name 2 TS restaurants you want to try and haven't? Victoria & Albert's and California Grill
5. Favorite Disney Resort and why? POFQ - haven't had the chance to stay at any of the deluxe resorts yet - so this could change in the future

And for those of you who have cruised DCL before....
1. Favorite place to relax? Serenity Bay on CC
2. Favorite Activity on the ship? The Spa
3. Best excursion you have done? Segway Tour at Nassau
4. First time you sailed DCL. May 2009

Oh good! I havent heard from anyone so I didnt think anyone cared. Ok just send me sizes. I havent ordered yet. Oh and what color? I was thinking white since they were cheaper but the other guys want a color.

It would be $4.00 for S-XL and $5.00 for 2XL for white and $5.10 for S-XL and $6.20 for 2XL for any color.

Sorry - but not an SEC fan. I am an N.C. State graduate (yes, we have a football team) and I grew up in N.C. which is big ACC country. My son just graduated from Ga. Tech (also an ACC school) so we are decidedly NOT UGA fans! I do have to admit though that SEC football is some of the best in the country. I just want them to loose whenever they play ACC schools!

I also attended West Point for two years and am still a big fan of Army football. Oh yeah, also a fan of the Oregon Ducks just because of their mascot.

Yes ma'am! They have shirts from 0-6 months so all kids are covered

You have to be true to your school!

Yes, West Point is a lovely place to visit but....

My Dad always said West Point is like a city under seige - 20,000 people on the outside who just want to get in, and 4,000 people on the inside who just want to get out!

For anyone who has never been there I highly recommend a fall visit when the football team is at home. Go down to the plain (parade ground) and watch the parade (held just about every saturday of the year near noon), then head up to the game. Quite a beautiful thing even when you are in the midst of it. If you don't like football but like the military stuff, you should try to hit a full parade. Normal Saturday parades are 1/2 the cadets. A full parade is everybody. I don't know how to tell you to plan that, but there must be a way.

The moment the cadets "appear" is awe inspiring - almost like walking on to main street and seeing the castle but there are no cool rides afterwards.

My husband and I got together after his West Point years, but I will never forget when he took me there to visit, watch a parade, and go to a game. It was sch a beautiful campus! Having grown up in North Carolina, I had seen some beautiful campuses (Duke, Wake Forest...) but USMA is gorgeous!!!

OK I just got back (well around 7:00) from my second interview and it went very well. He was more cryptic than the phone interview. More "the person that will have the position will.." instead of "YOU will be doing...." but I really think I would be happy there. It seems like I will have my job of doing certain projects and there are so many avenues I can go in, setting up an online store for the members to sell their things and setting up email notifications and such, that it would constantly be doing a new project. I am really excited and hope to hear back from them soon. No offer yet. He said he had to talk to some others in the office and he would get back in touch.

Praying for the job, but only in God's will It's looking promising!!!!!!

I know what you mean. I wish this vacation would get here, but if it were here, I would be FREAKING out due to so much I have to do to get it together! It confuses me. LOL

I know! That is why I am going to try as hard as I can to take it slow and take it alllllll in.

From what I understand, every soft drink, coffee, tea, milk, juice, etc, is free except for in the bars, or Cove Cafe or room service (coffee is free but they serve can cokes for room service so anything that you have to open cost). As far as Room Service goes, if it is packaged, it costs. Things like fruit trays, cookies, things that they prepare, they are included and only "require" a tip.

Glad to know it went well! I'm sure it will be clear what you are to do. It sounds as if you are excited about what this job would entail - that's good!

Ryan's going to have a great birthday! Glad you found some good FE gifts - always a bonus! I will probably be finished with mine by next weekend. I was going to say this weekend, but I momentarily forgot I would be at cheerleading choreography camp Saturday and Sunday! I do love my girls though!!!! Very low drama if you can believe it - seriously! I am blessed!

So whats the deal with the character thing? Is this for a t-shirt? Sorry, I've been out of the loop. Are we going to be wearing said t-shirt(s) at some point? If that is the plan, I'll let y'all know up front that I know my little family unit won't wear matching t-shirts....it ranks up there with jean shorts and speedos on the 'not something we do' list.

I found that one has to go back many many pages to get a count of FE participants. Is there any way we can keep a running count somewhere? Maybe put it in Jen's signature since she posts 10x a day LOL

Counts that will make it easy for me: #groups, #adults, #kids.

I plan on buying an FE gift for each 'group' participating, but will also pick up a thing or two for the kids.
