MM registration..

please remind, I've never attended an after hours event.
You have a ticket in your account/wdw app which is tied to your identity
Same as if you have an annual pass or day ticket
They take your fingerprint on entry
At universal they use facial recognition (I think i heard disney is moving to this)
If the fingerprint/facial recognition does not know you or if it is your first time, you have to show ID.

DLR is picture with no fingerprints

WDW does use pictures from their iPad but only if your finger doesn't work. We know from first hand experience as one from our group finger print never seems to work and not just Disney either it wouldn't work on her own iPhones or iPads either.

If you had eligible reservations that covered both events, you had to select which one you want to attend during the registration process.
Yes I know that.

My question was to when the people who got kicked out of registration and received an email stating they would be registered automatically.

If one had a reservation for 4/21-4/23 (HS) & 6/24-6/26 (TL) would I get to pick which Moonlight Magic event to attend like I would be able to during the normal process or is Disney just going to assign me to the one they want.

I might also have a reservation for 7/19-7/21 when another HS event takes place so in that case I wouldn't want them to automatically give me HS.

Likewise I might be staying 8/3-8/5 when TL has another MM event and therefore would not want to be automatically assigned to that one.

@Genie+ was in the que very early so I'm on the assumption that if the site was working correctly that neither event would have been sold out giving the choice. Just wondering if now that is something being offered.

Of course many people most likely are only registered for 1 event but incase people did have reservations for both I was just curious what Disney's action would be based on the "auto" assign email

A little over 2 hours later we received an email saying MS “will be proactively registering you and your party for the event date that aligns with your qualifying stay.”

Maybe they will call? I had a waitlist come thru. Instead of booking it for me and borrow points. They called me to see what I wanted to do, as they see I have other room booked for that night. They helped cancel the room and use those points for the waitlist. Shows me member service are proactive and do try to help.

This has happened to me as well. Great customer service.

For those of us who had to call MS yesterday to prove you were in the process of registering when it went crazy and were told you were indeed registered, but wouldn’t get an email most likely….I just received a confirmation email.
That’s reassuring! Much better than wondering about falling thru the cracks or not. At least you now have an email record.
