Since I opted to do something for every stateroom,I think delivering the FE gifts to everyone will be my motivation to walk all over the ship (something I wouldn't usually do). So it can be a good thing after all :rotfl:

We actually liked that part when we first did FEs. It got us to most decks on the ship, and I don't think we would have seen as much of the ship if we didn't. Now that being said, I am thankful Jen is dividing it as much as possible. Going to different decks isn't bad though!

Oh im so glad!! I am sorry it took so long to do. :( People kill me waiting until 2 weeks before their cruise to say "oh I GOTTA have it!" grrr anyway, thanks for being patient. And I know how you feel about not being able to travel much. I was never a big traveler but Florida was a once a year thing until my daughter came. Since then we have been to Florida twice and Gatlinburg maybe 5 times? This one is over the top for us and extremely special. But since I seem to be having more money now a days (no school payments and a second job), then travel is going to be MORE frequent. There are many trade offs being a mom. And I am sure you know, as every parent on here, it is sooooo totally worth it. :D

Jen, do you do mouse heads on the ends of your hanging rod for the FE? We bought ours off ebay and I can't remember who did it. And yes there are trade offs that are totally worth it. My babies are 23 and 20 now, so if I may give my unsolicited .02 - in hind sight, my husband and I both have said we would trade the many "things" for birthdays and under the Christmas tree for more family trips and time spent together. I'm not sure my kids would have wanted that at the time, but their favorite Christmas gift so far ever was in 2007 (they were 21 and 18 then) was a family trip to Colorado to ski. Soooooo - as a "more mature" (isn't that a nice way to say older) mom on here, I would say make that more travel happen!!!!

Yeah that is partly the reason why I am going to do everyone. It's not because I am nice, it is because I want to see all the ship and try to work SOME of this wonderful food off!

I have seen them but I couldnt figure out how they did it!

Youre right. I remember the vacations much longer than any presents. The reason why we cant go too much is because we live with my grandmother who is 95 and she is very immobile so she needs someone with her all the time. When we went before, she was able to stay at a retirement facility for the week we were gone, but she was much more mobile than she is now. Thankfully, my sister volunteered to keep her the week we were gone. Now depending on what happens at her house depends on if we are able to go out again! lol But I am also getting more income than before so that helps too. Let's just pray that everything goes "swimmingly".

Happy 1st Day of August everyone!!!

Do you know what this means?????? Our trip is OFFICIALLY NEXT MONTH!!!!:cool1::banana::cool1::banana::cool1:

Jen, I hope I don't become one of the families that decide 2 weeks out that they need an FE!!!! I really want to try to make my own...but its a matter of finding the time! (I have a feeling you'll probably be getting an order from me soon though)

We are still trying to find a fun FE gift for everyone....I am just having a hard time coming up with good ideas!

Ok, I'm trying to count up the list. By my count we have 23 families? Is that right?

Just trying to decide if we'll do all the cabins... or go with the split list... :goodvibes

HEY EVERYONE, just 8 weeks from right now and we will be undocking at the port................CAN-U-SAY: :thumbsup2 I AM READY :thumbsup2

:lmao: Ohhh I bet his wife thought it was HILARIOUS!!! :rotfl2: nope no husband

 HUH , very ,very interesting , Jen , have I every told you about my son ,single, never married, the web designer, he is back down in ORLANDO this weekend doing another interview W/ Disney tomorrow [MON.] morning. :thumbsup2

I was asked by a member of our group to explain the pancake on the bunny/pancake sister thing to which I alluded a while back. I'll try - The Pancake Sisters originated on the SSMC08 thread. A couple of weeks before the cruise, we were all getting a little silly on the thread and Mary (WDWLVR who headed up a lot on our cruise) started posting all these crazy pirate smilies. We had a game where each post ending in 00 got a pirate and the ones and either the post before or the post after got an "Elzabeth Swan" pirate: and :bride:) Then her husband Mark, said 'how about a bunny with a pancake on it's head?' and posted the bunny that you see in my siggie. Turns out it is based on Oolong, Performance Bunny, who was an internet sensation, famous for balancing things on his head. We thought he was so cute, we adopted him as our mascot. During brunch in the private dining room at Palo, we convinced our confused yet eager to please waiter, Sean, to bring us 4 buttermilk pancakes (along with some waxed paper as to not muss our hair) and we had the following now infamous picture taken.

At some point we began giving ourselves names to keep each other straight and all names ended in "ixie" as in Trixie and Dixie. It has all become great fun with officers, "rules," other sisters... it is silly, but we will be pancake sisters forever!!
