Second try! I put this in the "find your cruise" thread! ack!!

Hey! I wanted to get to know more about my fellow future cruisers. So I will tell you a bit about me.

I am a single mom to a wonderful 8 year old daughter. She is homeschooled by my wonderful mom.

I am.....over 21 hehe what else do we give information on?

I'm Karen...I'm in my upper 20's! LOL Ok well 27 to be exact. My husband Jason is in his early 30's. We haven only been on one other Disney Cruise and it was a 7 night western. We are really looking forward to this one! I'm a nurse and my husband works at a Petrochemical refinery! :0) We have 2 puppies dogs that we love very much!

Hey Karen! A friend that is going with us, my daughter's OTHER grandmother, is named Karen and also a Nurse! LOL Small world after all eh? hehehe

Is that countdown right? I have it on my weekly journal at work but I just don't remember it being that low (I thought it was 117). YAY!!

Is anyone doing a stay at the parks after? We're going for 3 nights...I'm gonna run the WDW Wine and Dine Half Marathon the Saturday night after our cruise!

ME!! ME! I am going for 3 nights too. I am going to stay in Port Orleans Riverside. I plan on resting Thursday, then going to Epcot (first day of the wine and dine thing) on Friday, and then Saturday going to Hollywood studios!

It seems like forever since I've been able to log on, and I'm glad to see that we are not sailing alone

I transferred my ressie over to my DVC points AND we are taking my mother in law with us...so the updated info for our cabin is:

We have first seating for dinner, and the grown folk will be making Paolo ressies asap.

Dan, I, & the kids took our first cruise last year, and this is Maaa's first cruise...and I am sooooooooooooo looking forward to this year! The additions to the water play area at Cataway Cay looks AMAZING!!! (and both the kids will be old enough to go to the club )

Can't wait to meet you all!! Please add us to the FE list .... I've already thought up ideas...now just need to get working on them.

Thanks so much for spearheading the FE list! Please add our cabin.

There are a few different ways to do the FE Exchange, and from what I hear they all work equally well.

Last year we chose to just give gifts once...and without working out a schedule we did end up recieving something in the FE every day...sometimes multiple times in a day

Some other crusiers set up specific days/nights....and on the longer cruises some groups assign a set of cabins, so that instead of buying for a huge amount of people, it is just a set number of cabins.

Early risers and night owls have the easiest time of making deliveries without getting "caught".....but we did ours between early and late seatings of dinner and finished up pretty quickly.

OK well looks like I am going to be arranging this. I will leave this up to a vote. How do you guys want to do this? Do you want to just schedule a time or assign cabins? I dont think there is enough to have to do this but if you guys dont want to run up and down on the ship, that's fine. Speaking of which, what is your room number?

Any other suggestions? I am new at this so I need LOTS of help!

stuff (really inexpensive) that would make cute FE gifts.

Oohhh that is good to know. I am going to bring something that is....specific to Nashville and no, it isn't flood water

Just found our cabin number! 7619

Kinda nervous cause I got really sea sick last time (our cabin was in the middle of the ship) and now we are on the very back of the ship. I'm keeping my fingers crossed. The first thing I'm backing is my seabands!

I am going to get some patches from my dr. I don't know how bad it will affect me, but I can not ride in the back of a car for a long period of time without being sick. We can sit in the pool together (I heard it helps)

I had the Scopolamine stuff only mine was in rub on form to the wrist...not in patches behind the ear. Seriously, I took EVERYTHING under the sun I could think of! I took Pepto, Scopolamine, Meclizine, Phenergan! LOL All the meclizine did was make me sleep. I was actually on my way to the First Aid place cause I couldn't even move I was so miserable! I found the Meclizine tablets outside the door so I took some....all they did was make me sleep our ENTIRE 2nd at Sea day! UGH UGH UGH! That night, I discovered the sea bands in the gift shop. I put them on and viola! 10 minutes later, I was fine! Isn't that crazy?! Wish I would have found those suckers closer to the beginning of the cruise!! Now I know what I need! I'm putting those on the day before we sail this time!
