9:25 AM Phase A For Magic Kingdom

We don't mind the crowds but our magic bands have been a nightmare. Not opening doors, can't get in park and so on. Went to front desk 5 times yesterday and guest services this morning.

Here now, eating at liberty tree. It's crowded but still a lot of fun. Already been on SDMT, BTM, splash and small world. It's very festive! Love it

I'm here now. It is quite busy. I think when people are posting saying "it isn't that bad", they mean it isn't that bad being here. We aren't having issues getting around the park and you are squashed between people everywhere you go. Walking around I can tell there are more people than usual but it's not having an impact on my day or enjoyment of the park. I don't think people mean the waits for rides because yes those are quite long. We aren't doing many, just our fast pass reservations which are basically walk on for us. If you are someone who gets to Disney frequently and don't care about going on rides just having a relaxing day at the park it's not that bad. Someone on a first trip or who barely gets here prob should rethink it. But we have had an amazing trip.

I totally agree with this. :thumbsup2

People who think they are going to ride rides all day with minimal waits this time of year either didn't do their homework or they are delusional. :crazy2:

I think it would be a terrible time to visit for a first timer. But for people who go there frequently and at rope drop, it can be an awesome time to visit. We just got home after spending ten days at Disney. Yes, the standby waits are crazy, long, but we've enjoyed the Christmas vibe so much. So for me.....it wasn't bad at all. :goodvibes

Exactly! We're here right now, and we're having a GREAT time! Would definitely come back again this time of year!:thumbsup2

I've been to EPCOT on NYE once in 2011 and I can see it as well. The park was ready to get slammed and was organized for it. For the busiest day of the year, I never felt crushed where I couldn't move. I've been in the MK where things get bottle necked and you just can't go anywhere. I never felt that at EPCOT on NYE. Between the backstage areas being open and CM directing traffic around WS you could always get from place to place.

No, I didn't get in the 360 minute lines for soarin' or Test Track. I hit the Single Rider Line for Test Track right after the midnight fireworks and waited about 20 minutes. I did get in 30-40 minute lines for Nemo and Imagination.

I'm sitting in Yak & Yeti right now. While being in MK or Epcot is the thing to do, I choose comfort. AK is open til 10th tonight, but no need to stay that late. Today is like a regular day. We'll probably leave around 5.

Looking at wait times on the Disney app, it certainly appears you made the right choice! Have fun!

At least so far, it looks like NYE at EPCOT for 2012 when I was there. The lines were shorter in Future World but I didn't get to the parks until 5:00.

In FP+ News, there are still plenty of FP+ reservations to be had in EPCOT.

For Captain EO. That being said, even a week ago there were at least a few Soarin' and TT FP+'s to be had. With a little bit of work, you could have gotten 3 good to acceptable rides for your FP+'s. MS seemed to be the one that sold out the quickest. When I was there in 2012, by the time I got there Living with the Land was the only one left.

Is it not crowded at all?

How about Yak & Yeti...is it full?

I'm at AK at this very moment. It's crowded, but not miserable. We got here at 8am and did Dinisaur twice, Primeval Whirl 3x (DS loves it), Everest 2x (one 20ish min SB line, one FP), Safaris (FP), FotLK (FP), and ITTBaB (15ish min SB line). We had lunch at 12:30 at Flame Tree BBQ and had to wait behind only one other party to order and found a table for our party of 9 with no problem. We're heading over to AKL to check out the decorations and then to early dinner at Sanaa. Going to decide after that if we want to come back after that. We have had an absolute ball today. We've been at Disney since Sat. and have had a ton of fun. Crowded? Sure. But we've hit RD each day and have accomplished a TON. You'll hear no complaints from us!!

Magic Kingdom is getting to be nuts. They are already handing out party hats. Lots of fun, but crazy too!

Well folks, I'm at MK right now actually. The phrase "crazy crowded" does not even begin to describe crowds today, but we all went in expecting it. Anyways, we got in around noon (we shall be forever banished from the Disney fan community for not arriving at rope drop on NYE!) after a late breakfast at Chef Mickey's and watched the parade, rode TTA and then used our FP+s for Space, Splash, and SDMT. By pure luck, we scored a FP+ for BTMRR between 5:25 and 6:25. Had lunch at Cosmic Ray's at about 2:30 (lines there weren't terrible but they were making sure you had food before finding you a table; this upset a number of families who then decided to hold up everyone else. Right now, we're in line for PoTC slated for an 80 minute wait. Some of the group's watching Netflix, while I write this.

Overall, we've had a very enjoyable time, despite the crowds! We're figuring that after this we'll do some shopping on Main Street, ride the teacups, use FP for BTMRR, try to score one for Buzz, and see Holiday Wishes before we head over to Yachtsman Steakhouse for dinner before returning to MK for NYE fireworks and our first Disney rides of 2015 (assuming we can get back in). Now, I will say we do go frequently so crowds and lines don't bother us and if we can't do an attraction, it doesn't bother us that much, for we'll just do it in a month or two. Regardless, a very happy New Year to all.

We were at the AK today. Had a great time! My boys rode EE 3 times in 30 mins using the single rider after we used our FP. Not too crowded, still able to walk around. Now late dinner at Ohana and watch the fireworks again tonight!

It's 5:00 and I'm still going strong in MK! The crowds are high, but they are manageable. The slightt on and off drizzle is keeping people indoors.
