9/24/09 3 Day Wonder - Part 2 - the Goombays just won't die....!

got into work today to be told that the phone shop next to us is closed all day because they got robbed this morning! apparently they went in through the back, tied the staff up and stole all the stock. hoping that the staff are ok, but everyone's panicking that it'll happen to us too

That had to be so scary! That sounds kinda fishy, like it was an inside job or something.

thats what half of our staff think too. but the other half are panicking that its going to happen to us too. if it wasnt an inside job, i'd doubt they'd hit another store in the centre, everyone will be taking a lot more precautions now. besides life is too short to worry about the tiny chance that something like that might happen to us too.

got tomorrow off (woo!) but got loads of housework to do (boo)

Yeah and I doubt they'd hit the store right next to the one they robbed. They'll probably beef up security around your part of the mall.

How was your day off?

they had a security guard in the store today, other than that i havent noticed any more centre security around.
day off was ok, didnt do much, went grocery shopping, did housework then went out for dinner.
today i've been at work and its kinda sucked. got moaned at because i put on my facebook something like "hope the guys in t mobile are ok", so got told that i need to not put stuff like that on there as its privileged info. whatever.
plus been full of cold today, got a sinusy headache and just generally feel a bit crap. off to bed now.

Im so happy greg got a job with the railroad where he isnt on call 24 hours a day 7 days a week and he will be home more now
Well greg is wanting to stay at AKL i told him we would have to wait and see how much some of my stuff sales for on ebay im getting rid of all my porcelain dolls and my beatrix potter stuff. Im hoping for enough to help pay for it but if not i will be just as happy to stay at CSR hell i would be happy staying at one of the allstar resorts as long as i am on disney property i am happy.
So how are yall doing?

That's good news about Greg! Congrats to him. Hope you guys are able to upgrade to AKL!

My weekend was good. Kris and I went to see Dispacable Me on Saturday night (cute movie!!) and on Sunday we went to the beach. Thursday and Friday I also had off and we were up in Connecticut at the Foxwoods resort (casinos). We had a blast!

Start taking vitamin C! I used to get sick all the time too until I started taking vitamins. Now, not nearly as much.

i take vitamin c every day when during winter (when dad's home from spain, he gives them to me, otherwise i forget!) and it doesnt ever seem to make any difference to me.

It's supposed to boost your immune system. Maybe they don't work on you! lol

i was bored last week and entered a load of online competitions. well i actually won something! won 2 tickets to "party in the park" in leeds, a big all day concert with loads of different groups/bands.
only problem is that its this sunday and leeds is about 5 hours drive from me! so i gave them away to someone on my facebook. have entered loads more though, fingers crossed i might be able to win something more useful!

It's cool you won something even though you couldn't use it. Maybe you'll be lucky and win something else. Marriott's been running a contest throughout the summer for travel agents and I won a $50 gift card last week!

between yesterday and today i've probably entered another about 50 competitions, fingers crossed i win something cool

yeah i am. i havent got ANY energy at all today because of this cold, so just sat on the sofa watching tv. really need to go do my ironing though so need to get my butt in gear.....

thanks! still feeling a bit iffy, mainly because its gone to my chest a bit and its irritating my asthma.

been at work today, was supposed to be a 8 hour shift, but turned out to be a 12 hour shift because someone was off sick. went quite quickly though so it wasnt too bad.

plus i want to share this with people who appreciate how dorky but cool this is, i passed my assessment today, and i'm now officially a Disney Ambassador!!
