Thanks. I appreciate it.

Maybe I will. I'm reading Midnight Sun online right now. I got through an entire chapter with no interruptions. Work is just going to continue to be this way until spring.

My computer is supposed to be getting in 10/16 but I'm hoping it's earlier than that!

bet you cant wait to get your new laptop?! when mine (the current one) was on its way, i got really impatient!

Yep, I can't wait to get it! I keep checking the status of the order and it's still 'in production.'

are you getting one specially made then?

i've just priced up a WDW trip for next year....... i know i shouldnt even be looking, but the UK site is repeating the 42% off plus free dining offer.
[stop looking karen!]

oh, if you're still bored, i've now uploaded about 80% of the holiday photos so far.

They were having a deal on a memory upgrade, so I took advantage of that. I guess that's why it's taking a little longer. They had a lot of great deals on Dell. The computer itself was $110 off plus free shipping. I can't wait til it's here!

When were you looking for next year? lol, you can't stay away! I was looking it up with my TA discounts and with airfare, I can get 4 nights in Feb there for under $500 each. It has me thinking....a late Valentine's Day trip might be nice...

We're obsessed.

that'll be a nice idea, would you tell joe or try and keep it a secret?

i was kinda looking at next september again as we loved how quiet and hot it was, and the UK site is doing the 42% off and free dining again. but i know there's no way we could go, i was just pricing it up out of curiosity.
i've got to try and save up somewhere around £3500-4000 ($5600-6400) in the next 16 months to try and cover the majority of the cost for the singapore family trip. my brother should be paying his and his fiancee's airfare (if she's coming) but i'm going to try and cover the majority of the cost for me gary mum and dad.

btw: i've finally uploaded all the holiday photos.

i took cerby to the vets last week as he seemed to have half pulled out one of his claws, it was infected so they gave him a weeks worth of antibiotics and scheduled a follow up appointment for today. took him back today, and the swelling has gone down a lot, but its still not right. she had a prod and poke at it, and says the claw is loose inside his foot, but not loose enough on the outside that she can just pull. so he's gotta go in tomorrow, be sedated and have the claw pulled out.
this dog always seems to be broken! luckily we've got pet insurance so they'll cover the whole cost (minus $100 excess), plus he's had 3 lots of general anesthetic (i googled the spelling, apparently it is the right spelling but it just doesnt look right) before so i'm not overly worried about him having it done. better to get it sorted now so he can be back to normal!

also when i was out earlier i noticed one of my tyres on my car was totally bald, so i've just had to have 2 new tyres. it didnt cost as much as i was expecting, but still its money i didnt want to have to spend at the mo. but not much i can do, at least now i wont skid sideways round roundabouts when it rains!

Joe already knows about it, we were talking about it last night. We can either do that or go to Las Vegas during the same weekend for roughly the same price. He's never been to Vegas; I've been there twice. We definitely want to do Disney again in Sept/Oct because we had such a good time this trip and the dining plan is awesome! Why not take advantage of free dining again? I wanted to do Disneyland but it's just too expensive to stay on property and I won't do it any other way! I'm such a Disney snob :snooty: haha.

I do want to get to Universal too since Harry Potter will be opening next year....decisions, decisions!

Poor Cerby! His paw must be hurting him. :guilty:

I need new tires. I should probably get them done before winter. My car is HORRIBLE in snow!

i didnt think too much about it at the time but a couple of days ago it was really heavily raining and i did a slight skid sideways twice when going round a roundabout. my service is due in 3 months, but with the disney store job i'll be doing a hour journey at least 6 times a week so decided i couldnt really put it off any longer :( at least it didnt cost as much as i was expecting it to. i also thought they'd turn round and say that i need all 4 replacing, but it was just the 2 of them that needed doing. at least we dont get the snow that you guys get up there!

unless joe REALLY wants to go to vegas, i'd say stick to disney! i've been to vegas twice, gary's been once with me, and we've both decided that its enough, we dont gamble enough to make it worth it, and i'd rather spend my money on somewhere that'd i'd really enjoy all the time.
plus i'm like you, i really want to see the new harry potter land! now that gary likes coasters, we'll definately hit universal next time (i've never taken him so far as i knew he wouldnt go on anything and i didnt want to have to make him wait outside all day while i went on the rides without him). but now he loves going on them we'll definately go next time! i'll have to drag him through the harry potter bit though, he's not a fan.

i'd say go for the february trip, then go again for free dining!!

That's what I'm leaning toward, the trip in Feb and then again for a longer period of time for free dining. I was thinking about Las Vegas and was like 'what would we do there?' We're not big gamblers and sure you can walk around and see everything, but every time I've gone there I've had tickets to shows or something. We'd be spending extra on that. Where as Disney...everything is built in! There's more than enough to do! I'll talk to him about it tonight.

Universal coasters are a whole different animal, Karen. They are NOT smooth and I feel like I have a concussion after I go on Hulk. Make sure Gary knows this lol.

i think i'll let him go on it before i tell him, that way he's more likely to go on them!! if i freak him out beforehand, thats it, i'll have lost him!!

we're like that in vegas too, we gamble a bit (only blackjack really though) but no way near enough to justify going all that way for. plus in vegas you're spending money to go see shows, to go for dinner, to go clubbing, to go gambling. its a lot of extra expense.
at least at disney, once you buy your tickets, thats all your main entertainment sorted!!
i'm sure you'll be able to convince him to go for another trip to WDW!!

i kinda feel guilty (even though its not my fault), i've had to take cerby's food off him, he's not allowed anything to eat after 8pm so he's ready for his operation tomorrow, i keep having to stop myself from giving him a biscuit :(

I don't think it'll be too difficult to convince him. He loves Disney just as much as I do. He wanted to go for his birthday in January but he entered film festivals and they fall on those dates. If he gets in, he'll want to go; even if he doesn't and he plans a vacation on those dates, it doesn't look good to the people who worked with him on the movie. Like he thinks they won't get in, ya know?

Aw, I hope everything goes ok with Cerby tomorrow!

i think i'm still really jetlagged as it almost hurt to get up at 7am this morning! i'm glad its the weekend tomorrow and we can have a lie in!

got to take poor cerby to the vet in a mo, going to go via the park though so he can have a wander around first :)

How's Cerby doing??

I put a room on hold at ASMo for February. :rolleyes1

Why does it seem like everyone disappeared off this thread except me and you??

not sure :( where has everyone gone??!!

yay for the computer turning up next week by the way, just seen your PTR! and lucky you putting the hold on ASMo, i really want to go back! but we both decided to give it a couple of years before we go as we both agreed (we've been twice in 10 months) that nothing much has changed in 4 years really, no new rides, so we're going to give it til at least 2011 til we go again, that way at least the fantasyland expansion will be pretty much ready, harry potter land will be open, and we can go to universal too.

apparently the seaworld buy out has now officially happened. the blackstone group (they own 50% of universal, and most of a company here that owns 4 major theme parks in the UK) has bought all the seaworld and busch gardens parks. apparently they're not going to make any substantial changes, but the seaworld clydesdales will be going :(

i'm listening to the music on the memory stick that donna gave us at the mo! there's nothing on tv at all, so i'm listening to the splash mountain music at the mo!!

well i dropped cerby off this morning, they said to call between 1-2pm to see how he's doing, i called at 1.30 and he was still on the table. so i've gotta call in about 10 mins or so to see if i can go pick him up. gary's going to be peeved later though as (to wind him up) i asked them to put a pink bandage on him!! :rotfl: its become an ongoing joke that everytime he has anything done, i get tem to put stupid coloured bandages on him :)

I don't know, it's like after the cruise everyone forgot about us! What's up with that? :snooty:

Well, since it seems we're on track to do Disney twice in 2010, we may skip it in 2011. I don't want to overkill it. I say that now but when more TA deals come out, I'll be singing a different tune. I do want to save up for a big trip again, maybe in late 2012.

I was just looking at the other TA deals today. How crazy is this? DCL, 7 night cruise, $25/night per person! How can you beat that???? I'm going to keep my eyes open for that next year...maybe we'll skip the parks and do a longer cruise instead!

You should get Cerby all different colored bandages and he could be like a tie-dye doggie!

What's up with that? :snooty:
:rotfl::rotfl:

well i've just called the vets, apparently cerby is now awake, but i cant go pick him up til after 5pm. its too quiet here without him :(
i might go out to the supermarket and buy him some chicken, they always say to feed them chicken and rice after anesthetics so it doesnt upset their stomach.

how cheap is that cruise!!! wow! definately keep your eye out for that!! we should try and organise a reunion cruise in a couple of years!

We did the same thing for my doggie when he was in the animal hospital a few years back. He got boiled chicken and rice for about a week.

I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw the pricing for that cruise! It was for 10/3 and 10/17. Too bad I don't have enough time off left this year or I'd be headed right back down!

I'd be up for a reunion cruise!

oh forgot to mention. i've had a disney aerial topper on my car for ages. it was sorceror mickey and i really liked it. i'd glued it to my aerial to stop it coming off.
well i get back from holiday to find some theiving a**hole has stolen it off my car.......

luckily i have a couple spare (not sorceror mickey though :() or i'd be really p***ed off!

i've now got a glittery gold mickey i bought at the disney store a couple of years ago for like £1. its not the same!
but at least my stitch car magnet hasnt been stolen yet!

is it just me or are you missing all the fancy food at disney and on the cruise? my cr*ppy cooking just doesnt compare!
