i don't really mind when we meet either, might not be a good idea to meet too early before the cruise as not everyone will be in orlando at that point. On a totally different note i'm loving the fact that i can reply to the dis on my mobile now :)

a wierd thing has come up on my user cp on here because i'm surfing on my mobile, its telling me how many times i've posted im each thread, apparently this is my 429th post in this thread alone :scared:

:rotfl:with your 606, and my 430, between us we've made 62% of the posts in this thread :surfweb:

lol, at least we wont have trouble finding stuff to talk about at dinner :rolleyes1

lol, it'll be a lot better than last time, it was soooo hard getting conversation out of the other two couples last time, at least we al know we've got some things in common!!! hows the NKOTB countdown?

7 hours til showtime!

When we sailed on RCCL a couple years ago, the two couples at our table barely talked at all. At least the one couple made somewhat of an effort; the others were dead quiet!

yeah last years cruise was like that, we were sharing with an english honeymoon couple who i don't think were too keen on sharing a table, and an american dad and daughter. The dad had won the cruise through work and obviously wasn't really the disney type, and was only on the cruise because it was free. I kinda felt sorry for our servers as they were trying really hard to get conversation out of them too but with no luck. Our assistant server was such a great guy too, think he liked us as we were the only ones making an effort to have a good time at dinner.

:sad2: If you don't want to get to know people, why go on a cruise? They might as well just stay in their cabin and eat room service every night.

i think they probably hoped that they'd get a table just for them. I mean we saw them on castaway cay and around the ship too and it just never really looked like they were enjoying themselves. You're on a disney cruise, why go on it if you're going to complain that its too kid orientated?

That's how the one couple was that we dined with! When we saw the other couple around, they at least said hi. These two didn't acknowledge us or anyone else. The funny thing was that they lived near us and we used to see them around here and there and they STILL never acknowledged it.

whats with that? seriously i just dont get some people. surely they must do a tiny bit of research before booking these things, they cant go in totally clueless surely?
how come you've got spare NKOTB tickets then?

My SIL and brother bailed. She threw out her back. Something always happens when we have plans with them. :sad2:

so who are you going to go with instead? either way you'll still have a great time, are you sat close to the front again?

My NKOTB concert is in two weeks! We are not close thouhg, in the lawn. It will be fun though!

We came to Michigan for the weekend, but it is raining and kind of chilly. We went into town for lunch and a little shopping, I got Tim two pairs of sunglasses for only 3 bucks each, which is good because he loses sunglasses like mad!

Have fun at NKOTB Jen!

got all my dining reservations! I'll tell more later as i'm texting from my phone on the way out to lunch!

well i managed to get all of my ADRs this morning, and all of them for the dates i asked, all within 20 minutes of my chosen time

so this is the plan:
arrive on saturday 12th, we arrive late so we'll just eat counter service at ASM.
sunday 14th is seaworld day so we'll eat offsite in the evening, probably golden corral.
Monday 14th - teppan edo at 7.20pm
Tuesday 15th - CRT at 5.20pm then MNSSHP afterwards
Wednesday 16th - ohanas at 7.45am for breakfast, whispering canyon cafe at 8.15pm for dinner
Thursday 17th - chef mickeys at 7.20pm
Friday 18th - le cellier at 7.45pm
Saturday 19th - 50's prime time at 1.05pm for lunch

i've gotta call back in 8 days to make the other 4 ADRs, they'll be for crystal palace, biergarten, sanaa and captains grille, these are not urgent so if i dont manage to get these its not the end of the world.

i think i'm kinda tempting fate as all the touring plans say to avoid parks on EMH days, but i want to go to EMH, thats the point of staying onsite isnt it :) but we're there for 16 days so if its a bit busier on EMH days, its not necessarily a bad thing.

So, we spent the majority of our Saturday working on the Fish Extender. As soon as I started to cut the fabric, Bob took over the manufacturing. I am more than a little bit accident prone...so watching me with the scissors was making him nervous. This actually took us hours, but I think it came out pretty good.

We did this entirely without sewing. It stills needs the rod, which will have skulls at the ends. I suggested we add another square at the top, so we would have room for our name, but Bob is not satisfied with the end result, so he is making another one. This morning after breakfast we went to the fabric store again to get him the supplies to put together another version of it. I am working today at Osco, so he is going to assemble another one and see if he likes it better than this one. I actually got him to check out the boards for pictures of some of the fish extenders other people have made....so I think he found inspiration somewhere on the DisBoards!

And just because I love my little Lilo so much, here she is making sure the yard is squirrel free while I am taking pictures of the FE.

that FE looks amazing!!! why doesnt bob like it? if he gets bored, you can tell him he could always make us one :rolleyes1: we'll pay him in jelly babies :rotfl:
i kinda wish gary was more into the planning side of things, he's all into the holiday when we're on it, but i cant really get him too excited about the planning.

ps: lilo is soooo cute :) cerby's spent the day going in and out of his paddling pool, he's been really hot because he's got a very thick coat. he's got a big sand pit thing that we fill up with water. he likes to try and dig in it

Karen, Bob said he will make you an FE, you just need to tell us what kind of material you would like us to look for (Mickey, Cars, Nemo...etc) Also what color for the pockets. He tells me his new idea to make the storage pockets bigger is to use small tote bags that he is going to decorate with iron on transfers....I will post that as soon as he is finished with it (probably next weekend). He really likes to build things, so he is really getting into the FE and helping me with our gifts....he came up with a really cute idea, that I can't wait for you guys to see!
