you should be ok, i think technically they dont allow you to bring your own alcohol on board but they allow it in practice. i think with these rules, they dont normally have a problem with pre packaged stuff, its just fresh food that they dont allow. you should be fine.

i've changed my idea for my main FE gift, i've been buying stuff over the past couple of months, a bit here and there, and its piling up in the corner of my living room!! but come up with something more practical than my last idea, i'm trying to source the bits at the mo. i'm going to try and personalise them so i'll have to find out all the names for the rest of the group, once i do i'll let everyone else know, just in case you need them.

have you seen the photos of the BLT grand villas? http://land.allears.net/blogs/jackspence/2009/05/bay_lake_tower.html they look AMAZING, check out that view!

garys working tomorrow so i'm actually looking forward to having a day to myself, still havent decided what to do but it involves having a lie in!!

The online ADR system is available through Disney's travel agent website right now. I think they're testing it on us first but are probably going to release it for everyone to use via Disney's general website. Who knows when that will be though? If I get any updates on it, I will let you know. Good luck with your BLT reservation, hope you get it!

i saw that and i thought WOW!!!
then i looked up the points chart. the cheapest you can get it, in value season and not on the weekend is 88 points PER NIGHT! :scared1:
it would be amazing but thats a LOT of money for one night..............

well 9.40pm on a friday night and i'm about to start my ironing...... oh the exciting life i lead ;)

We are trying for a one week stay, May 2 - May 9, 2010, and the one bedroom for the week is 334 points, so what we banked for 2009, and what we have for 2010 that will cover the stay. This trip will be Bob, and my best friend, Jeanne since we were 3 years old. We are calling the trip "Fifty is Nifty". Jeanne just turned 50, Bob turns 50 on May 5, 2010 and I turn 50 July 29, 2010. The goal is to get Bob the view he wants in the one bedroom, so he can sit in the room's hot tub and watch the fireworks with the music piped into the room. That is his birthday wish...well that and eating at Le Cellier for dinner on his B'day.

The Disney Doorway to Dreams store here has the models for Bay Lake Tower, and when we saw them, that was it for Bob...sign us up on the dotted line! They are very cool and spacious. I love that it has a washer and dryer in the room...and with the couch coming out to a bed, and two bathrooms, it is going to be tons of space for the three of us.

Karen, when you brought up pre-packaged stuff...:confused3 don't ask me why, but I suddenly remembered that you live in the UK. If I sent you money, would you do me a favor? Bob has a thing for Jelly Babies, which are really hard to get here. I have a co-worker who's hubby is also from the UK, so when they go to visit his family every year she brings me back some. Since they are not going back until after our cruise I was going to order them over the internet, but the shipping is ridiculous. Would you be able to pick me up a couple of bags of them? I could PayPal you some money if you want.

dont worry about sending me money, PM me your address and i'll send you a couple of bags :)

how's everyone's weekend been?
gary was working yesterday so i went shopping, didnt really buy anything though. today we took the dog out to a country park near us, had a picnic and a walk around, the weather was great, hot and sunny, and we went out for a chinese for dinner.
back to work tomorrow though :(

i've just officially paid off (ie: paid off my credit card) the cruise and the 4 night AKV stay!! and i've called disney to change our all star reservation to 8 nights instead of 12! just got to decide on our dining reservations now :)

plus i realised that me and gary now have less than 15 weeks til we leave for florida!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good morning!! Ugg, Minnie was sick this weekend. She was fine on Saturday, but then on Sunday she woke up and couldn't open her left eye. That was all that was wrong with her and she seemed fine, but then she threw up on Sunday night once before bed...then at 2:30 in the morning she started throwing up a lot (10 times :scared1:) so we took her to the emergency vet -- they are nice, but expensive there!! He took a look at her and said she seemed fine, gave her a shot to help her stop vomiting, and it was $126!! Love the emergency vet, LOL. So now I am at work to get my computer -- of course, she gets sick the one time I leave my laptop at work for the weekend, go figure!! Now I am going home to work to stay with her and make sure she is okay. She hasn't thrown up in over an hour, so that is good. Poor doggie. :sad1:

Other than that, we went to Michigan again, which was fun. I also found a 4GB memory card on sale at Target for $14.99!! I thought that was a great deal, and I can take higher resolution pictures with it, I want our cruise pics to be awesome!! Alrighty, It's time to drive home now. We are having bad storms with torrential downpours -- so much fun to drive through in the pitch black!! :headache:

Good morning everyone!

Sorry to hear about your dog Mary. Poor thing. I hope she's feeling better.

I went to see UP this weekend. It. Was. Amazing. I think that's the best Pixar movie to date. They just keep getting better and better. It was funny but some parts of it were really sad, especially the first 10-15 minutes. And I love, love, LOVED the dog and Russell, the little boy. So cute!! Everybody go see it!

Other than that, my weekend was uneventful. I had to help my brother move on Saturday and I was exhausted after that. They seemed so disorganized. I walked into their apt and they still had stuff hanging on the wall and their computer was still hooked up. :confused3 Didn't seem very prepared to me! But I like things organized, that's just me.

When are the September hours being announced?? I was hoping today, c'mon Disney! I want to plan!

mary, hope minnie is ok :)

i'm on the lookout for september hours too, not too hopeful though as august's were at least a week late, think it'll be next week before we see anything.

i've been soooo tired today, i couldnt sleep last night, think i got about 2 hours in total if that, so i've been walking round in a daze today. hoping tonight's not the same, it'll kill me if i have another night without any sleep!!!

by the way, just to let you all know, i got a PM from mikkel last night.

due to unforseen circumstances, her and jason wont be going on the cruise. she's asked me to let everyone know that she'll be out of the FE exchange.

I'm hoping they will be announced this week. Let's keep our fingers crossed.

I don't even know how you're still awake. If I were you, I'd be passed out right now!

I'm sorry to hear that. :guilty:

yeah so am i, i'd have loved to have seen her wedding on castaway cay.

i think i'm only just awake on adrenaline, i'll be falling asleep in 2 hours i reckon!

Mary, how is your dog doing? Did the Vet do any blood work or anything like that? We had an incident like that with Lilo when she was a puppy (she will be 4 on December 8th) she was throwing up and her little body was so hot. It was summer time so we sat with her in our yard since she kept getting sick...all of a sudden she stood and we noticed she was bleeding. We wrapped her in a blanket and rushed her to the emergency Vet. They checked her out, ran some tests and told us her uterus ruptured and she was septic. They asked us if we wanted to save her or put her down. I thought, what the heck kind of question is that? You are talking about a member of my family..that is my baby, save her. 5 days in doggie intensive care, a blood transfusion and 3000 plus dollars she is fine...but those were some of the most stressful 5 days I have ever had!

Lilo and I are sending good thoughts your way for Minnie

Aw, all that happened when she was just a puppy?? Poor little thing. She's super cute by the way. :)

Karen, is Mikkel ok?

Yes, that happened when she was a puppy, and ironically in 4 weeks after this happened she was scheduled to be spayed. Lilo was a gift from my DD, Kelly because I was so sad and depressed after our other dog, Skittles who was 18 years old passed away in my arms while we were watching television. I know I was really lucky to have Skittles for that long, and she was never sick, and I didn't have to make the decision to put her down, she just slipped away while she was sleeping. Still I miss Skittles every single day.
Pets always are such a large part of our lives, it's hard when they leave us. Skittles and Lilo are both Lhasa Poos

Here is Skittles and DD, Brittany

at least you had the knowledge that skittles passed away happily. cerby isnt getting any younger and i dread the day that he leaves us.

jenny, mikkel's ok (kinda). i dont want to go into too much detail publically for her sake.

i think the lack of sleep is starting to catch up, i could quite easily fall asleep right now......

I understand, Karen. Just wanted to know if everything was alright. Maybe I'll PM her.

I had to put my dog Boomer to sleep a few years ago. He was only 8 very close to 9 years old. He had diabetes and started to develop tumors in his stomach and could not hold down food. There wasn't really anything we could do for him because the tumor in his stomach was roughly the size of a baseball. :guilty: I still miss him. He was a good dog and funny too. I love that dogs are like little people; they all have different personalities. I want a dog but it's tough to find an apartment complex in NJ that ok's dogs. They're all cat friendly but no dogs allowed!
