Good morning!! I joined the Facebook page yesterday, hopefully we will get lots more. More fun!! So what are everyone's plans for Easter? We are going to Tim's parents house, and then we are going out to TGIFridays :scared1: with my family. I'm not sure whose idea that was, but whatever!!

I really wish it was time for the cruise!!! I'm getting a little impatient waiting for vacation. At least it will be summer soon(ish), and we can go to Tim's parent's lakehouse in MI. That is at least better than nothing!!

TGIFridays

now i'm jealous!!! i loooooove TGIs, well actually i love their bar.... the food i could take or leave!! ;)

we haven't got anything planned for the weekend, its annoying as i've never had a 4 day long weekend before and not had to work it, so i really wanted to go somewhere, but since i booked the holiday i need to save as much as possible (but its a good trade off!) so we cant go anywhere. plus i'm still ill (got a really bad sinus headache today:guilty:) so i'm not sure if i'll be up for doing much other than trying to sleep it off.
but on the up-side, i've only got 1 hour and 55 minutes of work left til its the weekend!!
i think i may go FE gift window shopping at the weekend and get some ideas!

i know what you mean though, i cant wait til its september, obviously mainly for the holiday thing, but also when its september and the tourist season is over i can go back to parking outside my office, instead of having to park about a mile away and walking to work!!
i'm looking forward to july too as i'm off to spain for a week to see my parents :)

I will get to the facebook group eventually. I usually only use facebook via my phone because it's blocked here in the office and my computer at home is in serious need of an upgrade, it's so slow.

I don't have huge plans for Easter, just hanging out with the family! In the morning I'm going for breakfast with Joe and his family and in the afternoon my brother, his girl, and my nephews are coming over as well as my sister, aunt, uncle, and cousin. I think we're going to have an Easter egg hunt for the kids. My mom is not to happy with me cause I got my youngest nephew (he's going to be 3 next month) an Easter Playdough bucket. Last time he played with it at my mom's, he ended up mashing it into the carpet. Hopefully it'll be nice out so he can play with it outside.

I can't wait until September is here either! I know the summer will fly by though. I usually take day trips in the summer to Hershey or Dorney park and we go to the beach every other week. I actually want it to go by quickly so I can get down to Disney World! I have a mini-vacation coming up in a couple weeks to Williamsburg, VA so I'm looking forward to that too. :)

That's funny about the play-doh. I got my nephew some for christmas (he is also 3), and my sister was freaking out...but they already have a whole play-doh set up with the table and everything, so i'm not sure what the freaking was about.

WAIT until you hear my huge plans for tomorrow...are you on the edge of your seats?!?!?!?! I'm taking my neice to see Hannah Montana!! LOL :lmao: I'm sure it will be cute, and she is super excited. Yea! We're also going to lunch with my Dad, who just got back from his Winter place in FL. Lucky duck!!

Karen, do you have TGIFridays over there, or do you just eat it when you are visiting here? Speaking of there, LOL, are you going to the Olympics in 2012 when they are in London? Chicago is one of the last 4 for the bid for 2016, I think it would be neat if we got them. Besides the insane traffic and tourists, it would be really cool to see. We find out in October, I think.

Just joined the group too!!

I think this weekend we're relaxing Saturday (thank god!) and Sunday we're going to Seasons 52 in Orlando for a big Easter lunch (yum!). I'm Jewish but df is Catholic. (Happy Passover to me!)

Then Sunday evening I'm meeting a fellow friend/Disney bride at DTD to see the new Tren-D store and try out that new Characters in Flight balloon!

I thought the play-doh bucket was really cute! It comes with like 40 cutouts and easter egg molds. As soon as my mom saw it she was like 'Oh great!'

I'm going to Friday's tonight for dinner with my friend! Yum, Jack Daniel's steak & shrimp! She wanted to go to Houlihan's but I refused. I used to work there for almost 6 years and I was just not feelin it. Plus, we haven't seen each other in months and need to catch up. If we went there, we would be constantly getting interrupted by people we know!

I was hoping NYC would get the 2012 Olympics but London beat us out! J/K. It would've been really cool to see though.

Have fun at Hannah Montana! My little cousin loves her! I got her a Hannah Montana chocolate egg. :rotfl:

Mikkel - I friended you on facebook! How's Harry Potter coming along??

Have any of you seen that Universal has announced their own version of land & sea? Pretty smart of them, it will probably be less expensive than Disney's package.

HP is coming along! There's a nest w/Bald Eagles in it close by and you can see it from our trailer where our offices are. I keep saying, "I found the Hippogriff!" :lmao:

I didn't know about the land/sea thing. What ship are they contracted with?

the HP attraction sounds really cool, think when it eventually opens i'll make the point of going to universal (i havent bothered the last couple of trips because gary doesnt particularly like rides and i think its more ride oriented than disney)

i'm totally jealous of all the TGI friday trips, we've got them over here, but our closest one is about 45 minutes drive away, so i cant really enjoy the bar as much as i'd like!

i think i will probably try and get into london when the olympics are on just to see what its like. i keep thinking that the UK will mess it up somehow though, its kinda inevitable that we'll do something wrong! but it should be good for the country. the only problem is that where they're building it in london is known to be not the best part of town, i think they're hoping to make it a nicer area in the long run, but stratford isnt that nice....

Jen, did you get the buy one entree get the second one for $1 from Friday's? If not, I can email it to you. DH and I are going there tonight too! he likes the Jack Daniels Flat Iron. I like the $4 drink of the day!! LOL

That's good that HP is coming along! I am going to Universal for the first time this fall, for a conference at Portifino Bay. I know HP won't be open yet though. That must be an awesome job though!

I went to Costco at lunch to pick up a cake for work (I am on the Celebrations committee here, and someone is getting married), and I picked up a travel book. Now I am looking longingly through it at all the nice warm places... :headache:

Mikkel - Universal partnered with Royal Caribbean. I'm not sure which ship it is but it's similar to Disney's land & sea packages.

Karen - Gary doesn't do rides? :scared1: What does he go on in the Disney parks?

Mary - No, I don't have that coupon! If you could email it to me, that'd be great. jln82@optonline.net Thanks!

gary'll go on all of the show type attractions, but he wont go on rollercoasters or anything fast, i had enough trouble getting him to go on goofys barnstormer last time. i'm going to take him to where i work one day and try and get him to go on some of the kiddy coasters to get him used to rides.

Do you go on the bigger rides yourself then or do you skip them? Let me know if you need a ride partner one day! Joe & I can meet up with you guys. :)

i go on without him, i love RRC, TOT, SM, EE, the faster the better for me!! he's happy to wait outside, he doesnt want me to miss out just because he doesnt like them!
i love kraken at sea world, i wanna go back this time just to try out manta!

I saw Manta being built last time I was down. It looks awesome! We have a ride like that at our six flags but it's super short. I'm sure this will kick it's butt.

We're going to go to Universal for a day on this upcoming trip to go on Rip, Ride, and RockIt. :thumbsup2 I love rollercoasters!

i've never taken gary to universal as i dont think he'd go on anything. i'd be on all the rides!
you know its a good coaster when you come off it and your teeth are dry!! :rotfl:

Universal Studios isn't too bad on adrenaline rides. I think he'd be able to enjoy Earthquake, Jaws, Men in Black. A lot of the rides are more like simulator types rather than actual rollercoasters. IOA is a completely different story. That's more the thril junky park.

shhh, i partially use it as an excuse to not leave disney property......;)

:) Well I've gotta make a day trip there to go on the new coaster! And to visit Margaritaville! ;)
