Donna -- I called and got in right away, no hold. However, the lady was not great. The reason that my thing online didn't work was that the phone number was somehow missing, even though it wasn't last week :confused3 She started to help me, but then I was just like forget it because she was SO slow, and just did it online myself. I got everything we wanted, not at great times, but we didn't get le cellier, which doesn't surprise me at all. Sucks, because we haven't eaten there in a couple of years and I was really looking forward to it!

I just got off the phone....30 minutes on hold, and an hour working on the reservations...the system went down once when we were almost all the way done...then when he got back in it didn't save anything we had already done...so I got screwed. Totally not the agents fault, and he was really expecting me to yell at him. Gotta tell you I thought that was funny, I mean seriously, would that have helped the situation at all? Anyway,I am not a happy camper, with what I got, a couple of things are too close together time wise during the day....but trying to please everybody is not always easy! The guy that was helping me did give me some advice, he said in July when the info for the Food and Wine Festival comes out, dining reservations will open up, apparently people end up just wanted to eat there and not sit down to eat. We shall see.

Here is what I ended up with
Sunday - Teppan Edo - 7:50 pm
Monday - Kona - 10:00 am
Monday - Biergarten - 6:45 pm
Tuesday - Kona - 5:15 pm
Wednesday - Yak & Yeti - 12:30 pm
Thursday - Sci-Fi Dine In - 11:25 am
Thursday - 50's Prime Time - 5:20 pm
Friday - Yachtsman - 5:50 pm
Saturday - Le Ceiler - 11:55 am :woohoo:
Saturday - Tony's - 5:40 pm

I am going to keep calling and see if I can spread some of these times out the two days that I have lunches and dinners....I would like them a little farther apart. Plus it is screwing up my park plans!

Now I had to call back to cancel a couple of ressies that can't be cancelled online, and I am on hold for an unspecified amount of time -- should I be worried??? :scared1::lmao:

They said, we estimate your hold time to be.........

Then the music started

how are you both getting on?
donna, not sure when you guys are getting into orlando before the cruise, but theres a few of us going to ohanas on the 21st if you want to come along?

gary called our cell company and put me on his account as an authorised person, with the intention of me being able to drop his phone off for repair, i went in at lunch and they need him to drop it off and sign something. i'm not allowed to do it. so definately not got a phone til at least tomorrow night. its driving me mad!

Karen -- :scared1::scared1::scared1::scared1: I think I would DIE without my cell phone!! LOL!! :lmao: The sad thing is, i'm not kidding. Tim would be happy though! I drive him nuts with it, i'm always checking my email or the Dis, or some sports score...I absolutely LOVE my blackberry!! One of my best purchases ever! :woohoo:

After about 10,000 changes online and calling twice, I have my ressies mostly figured out. I'm still hoping by some miracle a Le Cellier will open up, but i'm not counting on it!! Here we go:

9/27 -- 11:00am Whispering Canyon
9/27 -- 8:40pm Cinderella's Royal Table
9/28 -- 2:10pm Garden View Tea
9/28 -- 8:30pm Tutto Italia (Never eaten here)
9/29 -- 12:30pm 50s Prime Time
9/29 -- 9:00pm California Grill (HallowWishes will be at 9:30 this night)
9/30 -- 12:50pm Coral Reef
9/30 -- 6:35 Turf Club
10/1 -- 5:30pm Narcoossee's (Only ONE ressie this day, LOL :scared1:)
10/2 -- 8:15am 1900 Park Fare
10/2 -- 7:30pm Rose & Crown

Tim's mom insists on making a lunch and dinner ressie each day, even though we won't probably go to both, more than likely just the dinner. This way, I make the reservations, and I can call or go online and cancel them -- I feel so much better this way. But, I think we did pretty good this time!! We'll see about Le Cellier.......

Sorry you ladies had such a tough time with the ADRs! I made the last two ADRs I needed to make for today which was Hoop Dee Doo and San Angel Inn. I didn't really want to do cat 1 for HDD but it was all they had left for 7:15 so I took it.

The No Doubt concert was fun even though it POURED right before we were supposed to leave. It went from being bright and sunny outside to looking like a hurricane 10 minutes later. We waited it out and went after it let up a little. It didn't rain for the rest of the night but we were on the lawn so it was all muddy. Ick. PNC is a ridiculous place to see a show. They're such a pain!

Mary, how did you like NKOTB???

i think i've managed to convince gary to work from home tomorrow, that way i can get my cell phone back quicker. its killing me!!! its not that i want to call anyone but its that feeling of i cant do it if i wanted to! lol

mary are you on the deluxe dining plan? or are you paying OOP for your food? thats a lot of ADRs, you're going to be very full!!

i cant believe how hard you guys are finding it to make ADRs, its wierd how much difference a week later can make, i didnt have any trouble getting mine. but now i've moved a couple around, i'm looking forward to getting one more meal (ohanas!!), i'm still loving the fact that we can eat all this food and its free!!

i got eaten alive my mosquitos on saturday night, definately suffering for it now, i'm soooo itchy. they've managed to fit 4 bites on the side of my foot, it must be a tasty spot for them, but darn annoying for me!!

its our works barbeque tomorrow night, its free alcohol (although i have to take my own as i dont drink what they provide), and theres a hog roast! it should be good fun!

Karen, that stinks about your phone!! That's got to be such a pain. I don't know what I would do without my cell phone. It's crazy how dependant we've become on cell phones in the last 10 years. In high school I had a beeper and almost no one had a cell phone

Last year, I looked like I had a disease, I had so many mosquito bites. I had like 20-30 in one spot on my leg. It was so gross!!! Getting them on your feet is the WORST. They itch so bad!

We're having a BBQ on Thurs for lunch before we all go home for the 4th of July weekend. We're closed Friday and Saturday. No alcohol though. Boo!

We get no bbq here at Walgreens!! Work, work, work!! LOL. There are way too many of us at the corporate office for a bbq.

NKOTB was fun!! I was excited to see them, but then when they came out, I got a little giddy I think. I was like, OMG, it's NKOTB!! :lmao: It was fun though. A bit rushed at the end, and they HAVE to stop by 11:00pm per the city ordinance, so they didn't go off stage before coming back out for their encore. It was kind of funny, they were like...this is the last song!!! And then they usually would go off and then come back...but they had only 7 minutes left to do Step by Step and Hangin' Tough...so they just kept going. I didn't have a great view, but it was still fun!!

I felt like I needed a drink or something this morning after the whole ADR thing. Ugh!!pirate:

at least its all over and done with now, you can still keep trying for cancellations, it doesnt hurt to keep trying.

Mary - I'm glad you had fun at NKOTB! They have that stupid 11pm thing at our place too. What did you think of the Jabbawockeez? Did Jesse McCartney open too? I was cracking up when I saw him. :rotfl2: All these little teenyboppers where there just to see HIM. I was like 'Oh no, he doesn't even compare to my boys!'

At least the ADRs are over with. I was stressed last week when I was making mine. I didn't think it would be so hard to get what I wanted! Karen, I'm surprised you had no trouble at all.

So what are these Lapu Lapus at Ohana I keep being told to get by other DISers??

to be honest i was suprised i got my ADRs so easily too. i think the plus ten rule helped me a lot as i booked the harder to get places for later in the holiday and booked those first, so in a way i got a few days head start on the masses :)

jenny, a lapu lapu looks like this:

Lapu Lapu
Tambu Lounge

1 oz. Meyer's Rum
1/2 oz. Bacardi 151
Scorpion Mix (half sour mix and half orange juice)
Garnish: Cherry

Wow! Anything served in a pineapple is ok in my book. I'll definitely have to try one of those. :thumbsup2

i like the look of them, but i'm a bit picky in what i drink alcohol wise, so it doesnt really appeal to me, but it does look cool!

ps: just noticed that we've got the exact same amount of posts!! :)

I felt like I needed a drink or something this morning after the whole ADR thing. Ugh!!pirate:

I am right there with you Mary! I could sure use a Margarita right about now. I am going to keep calling to see if I can get a second Le Ceiler....it's Bob's favorite place and I would rather have it for dinner than lunch...so if I can get it, I will let go of the lunch. The cast member that helped me with the ADR's told me that lots of people with free dining overbook ADRs because they don't grasp the One Counter Service, One Table Service, One Snack Credit thing. Apparently some of the cast members making the reservations only ask if the person calling is on a Dining Plan...not which kind of Dining Plan. However when they call back to modify, then they ask/tell them that they have only so many credits and already have more reservations than credits, and that frees up reservations. Also when the information for the Food and Wine Festivals comes out, that too makes people drop ADRs...since they can eat at the Festival.

Also he told me that Chefs de France, Coral Reef, Mama Melrose and Kona are getting tough to get as well. Oh and before I hung up at the end of my reservation call...he told me not to list my Le Ceiler ADR on Ebay! :rotfl: Hey that's hard to get...no way would I stick it on Ebay!

List a Le Cellier ADR on Ebay?? :rotfl2: I'm going to keep checking back periodically too so if I notice anything opening up for Le Cellier, I'll be sure to post to the boards.

I have one more than you now Karen! :rotfl:

are people really putting their reservations on ebay?
cor is there nothing that people wont sell?
donna, when do you and your family get into orlando? we've got a couple of tables booked for ohanas on the 21st for dinner if you fancy coming?

and is it really bad that i've just checked ebay to see if people are actually selling dining reservations??!!

:rotfl: If I could get on to the Ebay site from work, I would have done the same thing!

Ohana is going to be fun!!! It's our pre-pre-cruise meet. ;)
