Great chart Monica! :thumbsup2 Is anyone going to the parks after the cruise? We are staying at the Contemporary for 3 nights after our cruise. I figure a WDW trip can help ease the sadness of leaving the ship! :cheer2:

We are staying 2 nights post cruise at AKL. We are going to AK on 9/30 and MGM Studios on 10/1. Our flight leaves at 6pm on 10/2 so we will probably hang out at DTD til we leave for the airport.

We live just outside of Orlando, so we are just driving to the port from home in the morning.

Lori -
How do you like living in FL? Do you visit WDW frequently?

If I lived that close I would probably go everyday :teeth:

I would love to move to FL and work for Disney.

I have lived here and been a cast member for almost 11 years. Living here you do loose a bit of the novelty of the parks. But I still love Disney, especially now that I have little ones to experience it through.

Lori, yes, you can call DCL and get that inforrmation. Last year, I called about something else and during the call changed my dinner seating time. That's not always possible, but it happened to be when I called.

No parks for us. We need to get back home after the cruise.

It was a dream of mine for years, that is the reason I moved to FL. Hopefully we will be able to meet next week. :sunny:

Hi Gang!

It's go week. And I have yet to begin the packing planning. Maybe tonight I'll get us in gear.

We will not be staying at the Hyatt (thanks for reminding me to cancel the reservation!). We will be staying at a motor home park called Tropical Palms in Kissimmee! We will visit my grandparents who have a motor home and will drive down to see us on Friday. They have cabanas on site, so our family will stay in one of those then drive to the party Saturday morning.

Here's hoping for a quick week and a bon voyage on Saturday!

Howdy everyone, :goodvibes
For those "old timers "on this thread, who know me, I just wanted to drop by and wish you a awesome and magical cruise!!! :wizard:
I will be looking for cruise reports :surfweb: to see what I missed. Scott, I especially am anxious to hear how your DD likes the cruise. I think she will be in charge of the ship by the time you guys return.
I wish I was still coming along, but I am with you in spirit :grouphug:

Kathy

Where's everyone staying precruise? This is what I have gleaned from the thread, but I probably missed someone.

We will also be driving over to the port the morning of the cruise. We live in Tampa about 2 1/2 hours away. Went Walmart today for the second time in two days for "last minute" items. Wonder how many times I will be back there this week??

Happy packing!

Kim

LoriS - I know you are a castmember, but what area/park do you work at and what do you do?

Hey Kathy -

Good to hear from you.

I can't believe it is almost time for us to leave. I am soooo excited.

I was able to finish all of my projects at work so today was my last day in the office. I am officially on VACATION  :cool1: :cheer2:

Tomorrow I run my errands and pick up a few remaining items. Wednesday will be washing and packing and Thursday I will polish my touring plans and work on my door signs.

Only four more days until the "Magic" begins!!!

I just found this thread !

We are leaving this Saturday on the 7 day cruise. This is the 2nd 7 Day cruise for me and my 2 children (11 and 12) and the 1st Disney Cruise for my husband (Newly married 1 year).....Last cruise was 2003 7 Day Western Caribean...

I am more excited then my kids....Just read some of the pages...Highlights needed for what I need to bring (Door signs?) or any other last minute hints

George, I'm taking a different route to Lorton afterall. We're not going to be going from NJ to the station. I have since come up with a better idea. Dh is working in Frederick now. Instead of having him drive all the way back to NJ on Wednesday night only to turn around Thursday morning and head south, the kids and I are going to pick him up in Maryland Thursday morning and then drive to Lorton.

Angie - Lucky You! I have to wait until Wednesday for my last work day :sad2:

Wednesday? I'm working ALL day on Friday... (I expect my mind will NOT be on my work though - as it's not really functioning on work mode now! LOL!)

Hey Michelle -

Your DD told my DS that she's not going to school on Thursday. He told me thinking I would say he could stay home too. I told him no way. I need some time at home to my self to decompress before this trip (I didn't tell him that part :rotfl: )

Man, I needed this break desparately. It feels so good to not have to think about work for two weeks and to be able to get back to planning this trip.

Welcome Kahs67 -

Glad you found us!

For what to bring, I am going to make some door signs because both of my sons are celebrating their b-days.

Some people are bringing pirate gear to wear on Pirate nite.

You can bring water, pop and alcohol on board.

Hey everybody -

Do we have a firm date, time and location for our "Meet and Greet"? I can't remember if we settled on an option.

It's my husband's birthday tomorrow.......Should we celebrate on our first night there or is it really only for people who have birthdays while we are on the ship?

I am a Castaway Club member (Eastern 7 day 2003).....is there special stuff I need to ask for or do when I check in?
