I plan on transferring an OB booking that I have. My question is this..I booked a cat 11 but now would like to trans to a 7 or 9. Is it possible to keep my discount and OBC if I'm changing Cat? I was told by DCL that if I changed to a lower cat (12) I would lose everything. (before the new changes), but what about going up?

Cat 12s do not get the 10% discount with OBB [onboard bookings] but they do get an OBC. If you move an OBB to a 4-11 then it is added to your ressie and you keep the OBC that went with the original OBB. You will pay the current rate on the day you transfer your reservation to the new category, not the rate that cat was on the day you originally booked your cruise.

That was so nice of you. Now that I know there is at least one suite still available I may have to get a babysitter for Monday morning to try and get it. But to be honest, the cat 1 is a much better sleeping arrangement for us and since the prices are basically the same, I'd take a cat 1 on a different date if I can get it. Although the Aug 16th is the ideal date for us, we can do others. I'm really hoping that we might get one assigned through IC and not have to call at all, but I don't know how to find that out.

If we get on the 16th, I'll let you know and the kids can party together - I mean that in a family/birthday kind of way - not a run wild I'm a teenager now way!

Got it! I hope to meet you in a short 600 and some days! :)

I was looking over the Cat 5 prices on the first post (great summary, Lisa!) and I just had to chuckle when I saw this entry:

OB C05C 2A2K $114392.72 [no ins/trns]

Add the comma in the right place, and that's $114,392.72 for a Cat 5C room! I sure hope it's gold plated and Mickey himself waits on you for that price!!

LOL I saw that one too!!!

OK, I had to search to see what the right price should be since most of them I just copied and pasted yesterday to avoid errors and that is what was posted. They didn't book that one...surprisingly enough. ;)

Lisa, many, many thanks for keeping post #1 up to date. And a huge thank you to everyone who shared their price quotes with the huddled masses. All of you are truly GOLD and PLATINUM in my book! :thumbsup2

Did you just take my Aug 16th cat 1??? Apparently it was the only cat 1 or 2 available this afternoon and the date was perfect for us except we are still a cruise away from gold!

But the good news is tonight our past cruises now show PC 15 day which I understand is probably some code that we are in IC's system, so I wait until Monday to find out I guess. Still holding out hope. We left our dates open from June 6th to Aug 23rd.

What date, please?

I am actually a little relieved at the price - it is not much different than our recent Western - still outrageous and I have a hard time accepting it, but DH doesn't. Hopefully ours will be a little better. We are 2A, 5K 12, 11, 9, 7, and 4.

Happy cruising

If your cruise page shows a cabin for the PC cruise then I would call. That is how I found out I had a cabin for the cruise (I am Silver but it came on yesterday) You may already have a cabin waiting for you. Call DCL and give them the ressie number. Good Luck!

OK - I just got:

5/17/2011 - East Caribbean - Cat 4B - 2A/2C (10 & 10) - $6,176.88 with no ins/transfers with 10% rebooking dicount and $200 OBC.

I am Gold but she said it's $200 OBC so maybe it isn't more because it's a regular sailing?

She said Cat 4A is "a few hundred more"

Is the deposit refundable? Just curious, also we booked a Cat 12 which is 11c now, but when we get OB in Dec we were going to transfer to a 11B i think so would we get 10% and OB credit then, and cancel reservation we made yesterday

A friend just called to get pricing for my family of 4 - 2 adults, 2 kids ages 13 and 11. Here is the info (no insurance, no transportation) -

Cat 6 is full
Cat 7 full
9c 6,348.52
9a 6,728.52
9b 6,388.52

5c 8,228.52
5a 8728.52

10c 5,328.52
10b 5,568.52
10a 5,528.52

After 9/21 it will be $600.00 per person for deposit.

Cat 7's only hold 3 - that's why it shows full.

Andrew maybe you can answer this question- I noticed that no one booking a Med cruise had listed any amount of OBC? Is there non being offered for the Med? Just wondering-Thanks!

There weren't any OBBs that were transferred for the med cruises posted here for OBCs to be given. The one that was an OBB transfer for the TA just didn't post about the amount but the list of the OBCs for all 2011 cruises if you are using an OBB is in the first post. :)

Has anyone (other than PJ) gotten a quote for a single/solo traveller??

How bad is that single supplement?? :confused3
