we are only having 1 day in epcot during our holiday and really want to do arkerhaus breakfast and teppan edo.

only arkerhaus breakfasts we could get was for 8;05 am or 10;25.
I couldnt imagine how early we would have to get up to be at the park for 8am so we have gone for the 10;25.

teppan edo had no dinner reservations except 9;20 or we could have lunch there at 3;20.
aafter the big breakfast i don't think we would be able to manage a big lunch so have booked the 9;20........
BUT we want to watch the fireworks too.... these start at 9, if we watched them by japan could we make it to teppan edo for 9;20? are they very strict on arrival times? assuming this would be last reservation of the day???

I think you should make it to your Teppan Edo ressie on time. The fireworks show is only about 15 minutes long anyway. if your a couple of minutes late, its no big deal. im pretty sure they would seat you. But you should be fine if you watch it near the japan pavilion.

I love teppan edo. I always had a great meal there. Enjoy!

. . . if we watched them by japan could we make it to teppan edo for 9;20? are they very strict on arrival times? . . .

1) It all depends.
2) If a busy might, they can just cancel the ADR and not let you in.
3) If not busy, they might allow you some leeway.
4) General Rules
. . . ADR times are ADR times
. . . if late, they can cancel the ADR and make you wait
. . . if late, and it is near closing, they can cancel ADR and deny entry
. . . if late, many eateries can a 15-min Grace Period -- in slow times
5) My Recommendations:
. . . check in early, before the fireworks
. . . ask if you can watch fireworks and come back, even if late
. . . normally, they will say yes

The buzzer they give you for Teppan Edo works throughout the Japan pavilion. I'd watch the fireworks from Japan, and at 9:15 I'd go up to the podium at Teppan Edo to check in. You'll see most (if not all of the fireworks). If the fireworks are still going and if a table's not ready, you can continue watching from Japan. On our last trip (early March 2010), Teppan Edo was the only restaurant where we were not seated at our ADR time (we were there early, too)--that's entirely anecdotal, but your table might not be ready anyway....

When is your reservation- I thought normally the last seating was before the closing time of the park- are ou going during the holiday season when the fireworks don't start until 9:30pm?

We are going 11th nov. It says on website that dinner is until 9:30 so presuming the last ADR would be 9:30?? I think the park does close at 9?

According to the Disney website the park is open till 10pm that night. We are going to the 3D Dessert party that night and it runs until 9:30pm so I am guessing that the fireworks won't start until either 9:30 or 10pm according to the information I have seen. If the reservations are going till 9:30 then the park is open until at least then and the fireworks won't occur until then.
