Ummmm, NO! But maybe I should work on it, because I do love my flip flops!
I am a flip flop girl too, and being in Florida I basically wear them year round. I just heard about a new flip flop yesterday, they seem to be sold at specialty stores, they are called Switch Flops. :cool1: I was at a collectible store yesterday in my flip flops and the owner told me he had just ordered them and they should be in by mid September, maybe sooner. All I could think was oooo new Flip Flops for the cruise!!!!:rotfl:

hmmmmm, switch flops....I'll have to google that! I  google! And flip flops!

I was really excited when I googled them. They are really cute, and the possibilities are endless!!! :yay: But I wonder how much they are going to cost. :confused3

You should send them on that crazy drive with mamajojo and family! :teeth: Maybe then they'll be able to see some gators out on the road...but they better look quick since mamajojo has to make time and get to the port so she'll probably run that gator down and turn it into a full line of shoes, handbags and assorted belts! :lmao:

Anyone is most welcome to join us....although you might have to sit on the roof, as I am filling the car with luggage  and you can't be someone that needs sleep....unless you do that in the car....sorry ON the car. Make sure that you bring lots of snacks because we only stop when we need to fill the car with gas and make sure that you DON'T bring lots to drink because we only stop when we need to fill the car with gas :rotfl2:

Hmmmm.......... new FREE clothes.....free is DH's favorite word....and clothes is mine..........No, sorry couldn't do that....even for free clothes. Seeing a gator might actually make us stop. I am sure that the kids would want to stop and see it, talk to it, take pictures of it, play with it, pick it up, pet it, fight over it....... Yes, hope we don't see any on the way down. We did look on the way down last time but did not find any :confused3

Holly, sorry to hear about you job. Hopefully it will be for the best.

Jonesing, I was thinking about using a dry erase board. Good thing you brought up the fact it could be easily changed. Maybe we should just put paper & pen out so people can post their Dis name, old room # & new room number? Let me know what you guys think.

DH just told me I can't prepack in his suitcase!!:confused3 He said he wasn't going to keep my stuff for 2 weeks while he's in Jax. I guess I'll have to try to squeeze my stuff in w/ the kids so we don't have too many suitcases.
I'm hoping our weather is good. IF we had to change ports I'm afraid my little mind would overload. :scared1:

If you stop by Saratoga Springs the gator that was there last Jan. might still be there. We took pictures of it. Yes, we did tell the front desk, they we're concerned unless we were. We weren't. I did try to play National Geographic photographer, not a good idea. I was "sneaking" up on the gator to get a good photo. Amazingly enough he noticed!! He snapped his tail & I took off running. Later the kids noticed some weird pictures. Apparently I had taken numerous shots of the ground while I was running.:rotfl2: They of course got deleted, I love digital!!

We have the switch flops here in Erie at one of our Hallmark stores, they retail for about $50 and then you can purchase different tops for them to match, as Erie's summer is maybe a month long, lol. I did not invest in them as I too don't enjoy the toe thingy. Flip flops all year round around PA mean frozen toes.

I am loving all the pictures on the yahoo site! It's so great to put faces to all the dis friends!

Hi folks,

Just wanted to let you know that I just got a text message from my wife's sister (she is now sailing :boat: on the Magic with her family) She says that they just arrived to Cozumel and that they are enjoying their cruise so much, good weather:beach:, good food and lots of fun. It is their 2nd Disney cruise so far, the first one was on the Wonder the past year, when we all did the 4 night Bahamian cruise. I will keep you posted if I get more messages from them.

OMG!!!! My head is about to explode!!!!! I just finished trying to read through all the yahoo group messages on my email acct. where they post and then came over here and tried to read everything posted since 1am last night alone!!!!! and . . .and. . .and. . .

:scared1: We are one wild and crazy group and everyone is so stinkin' nice too (ever read some of those other meet threads:sad2:)

Anywho, I can not answer anyone YET, but I will get back to it. My kids need my attention at the moment. Heaven alone knows when I will give this house and packing any attention.

About the time my littles are done with my time, my teens will be waking up and need to be carted someplace:upsidedow

Still have shopping to do for them too and as anyone with teens knows, means they have to go along lest I buy them something totally wrong.

I AM SO READY(figuratively speaking. . .) TO BE ON THE SHIP ALREADY!

I promised only one post and then I would go with Emory and Jillie so I am off!

Have a great PRODUCTIVE DAY everyone (except mamajojo, you REST women!) Seeya real soon!

This is hilarious. You should have kept them and done a photo montage of the sequence. Picture of gator from further away, picture closer up, picture of the ground as you run away!

Mamajojo- that's such a cute picture on the roller coaster, and the daddy daughter one is just precious. What an awesome keepsake!

Holly- So sorry to hear about your job. Sometimes better things come about through not so great circumstances. I will send a little pixie dust your way.

Flip flops are a favorite in our house. My husband would live in them (and shorts) if he was allowed to. I can't tell you how many times we were going to go out and I had to send him back to change. The only time he doesn't wear them (and shorts) is for work or church. I don't really like the between the toes thing on some, but others work great. I must have between-the-toes-sensitivity or some such condition.

He did agree to wear the kind you just slip your foot into.....that has a band that goes across the top of your foot I can't understand that....I LIVE in flip flops, sometimes even in the winter when I can get away with it!

I know what you can do.. get some hot pink crocs for him and some brown leather flip flops. Bring only those (and some nice shoes for formal night) on the cruise and let him totally have his free agency to pick which ones to wear;)

On another totally unrelated note - what excursions are any of you planning on? Since we are joining in so late in the game I am getting a little panicked about all the details that should already be nailed down. We have Captain Marvin's Sting Ray City for Cayman, but are still undecided about anything else. It would be fun if some of us are doing the same things:thumbsup2

Hi all,
Since I am addicted to making magnets now that I figured out how to personalize them:rolleyes1.... Does anyone have a picture of our 'logo' like the one on the yahoo.. I tried to copy and paste the one that is on there and is comes out really small.
Also, DH works with the phone company and he scored us some cable ties for the FE's to be tied down if anyone wants one, I will have them at the port.:goodvibes

Wow, SO funny :rotfl2:, It has reminded me something that happened to me at Castaway Cay in 2008. Not trying to scare anyone, but I was enjoying so much snorkeling alone at the snorkel lagoon, near the family beach, taking beautiful pics with my underwater camera of all the colorful fishes and hidden Minnie, when I ran into a 3 foot Barracuda, she was very still near the surface and never seemed to be hostile, but it scared me so much that I swam so fast towards the beach that even Michael Phelps would have had serious trouble to pass me :rotfl2:, however, I was brave enough to take a picture of her before swimming away.

These are a couple of photos of my snorkel adventure. Sorry I missed the head of the Barracuda, but I thought it wasn't a good idea to come back and take the risk of taking a better picture of her. :rotfl:

Okay, Barracuda at Castaway Cay:scared1:-Hmmm, and that my friends is why I have a fear of swimmng in the ocean:eek:.. Been stung by a jelly fish before and that didn't feel great.:sad2: This land girl will be either in a swimming pool or on a beach-watching..

Yes, we have seen Barracuda many times at Castaway Cay. The first time I kept telling my kids to swim away from that "area" trying not to tell them about the big biting fish and DH kept telling me that everything was fine-no problem. This is my "minimize anything that could ever be dangerous about the ocean" DH. He surfs practically every day, even when he knows there are sharks present. Then he saw how big it was and decided that swimming away from that "area" was a good idea too. It really didn't do anything, just watched us for a while which was kinda spooky and then swam away. It's probably good you didn't get a picture of her mouth. Their teeth are kinda freeky.

My Dh and I will be right there with you!

I just had to comment, I have never been a an of flip flops, love the way the look and the convenience but apparently i have weird feet because m toes always hurt when i wear them :confused3
so anyways, one day my mom said she bought me a pair of flip flops. i reminded her of my issues and said try them and see. she gave them to me, i slipped them on and wore them around for awhile...NO PAIN! they were switch flops :) I am now the proud owner of 2 pairs and I would never take them off if I didn't have too! I highly recommend them. they retail for $30 here and the replaceable bands are $12.
Hope everyone is having a great day!

Wow it's getting harder to keep up with all the posts. It's great and must mean we are a very excited bunch!

Mamajo-The pic of your DD and DH is adorable! How are you feeling? :flower3:

Holly-Pixie dust to a fellow bride :bride:for a wonderful wedding and an awesome job offer as soon as you return from your honeymoon. I am already wishing we could do the wedding all over again. It's been hard waiting for the honeymoon to finally get here.

Hannaquad-It sounds like your FE is not goin ANYWHERE. I would love a heavy duty cable tie.

Dennis-YIKES..fish with teeth! I am now re-thinking the snorkel thing. We have a snorkel excursion booked in Grand Cayman. I thought the family beach at CC was netted so big fish with teeth would stay away. :scared1:

Hmmm Switch Flops...more shoes! They are really cute.

Has anyone started packing yet? I am trying to make myself wait until Labor Day weekend as our house can be shown at anytime and I was planning on spreading clothes and suitcases over the entire guest room.

Has anyone booked the Tulum Ruins excursion in Cozumel? I think DH would like a "buddy" as he is going alone to look at the dusty old rocks. I am doing the dolphin encounter by myself. Anyone else? I would also love to find a drugstore if not too far from the port.

Kileybeth-You sound so very busy. You sure you have time to take a cruise? :rotfl:
