5 weeks at Disney was awesome. We stayed on our Vacation points and for those of you who are not members and are debating it,,, it truly is the best thing we have ever done for our family. In fact we added on again while we were there.
Denise, we have to have an umbrella drink whilst you explain the ins and outs of DVC...after dealing with "The Shark Tank" of timeshare hawkers at Puerto Vallarta airport, on the streets of PV, from the PV taxi driver and
inside our hotel at PV

I have little tolerance for listening to a professional timeshare goon--even if they are very nice Disney CMs.
The only palm tree she has ever seen has been at the mall or on a TV show and I can't wait to see her face when we arrive in Florida.
You should send them on that crazy drive with
mamajojo and family!

Maybe then they'll be able to see some gators out on the road...but they better look quick since mamajojo has to make time and get to the port so she'll probably run that gator down and turn it into a full line of shoes, handbags and assorted belts!
OOHHH I can defiantly join this club. I have two brand new, very ugly, large surgical scars and I am taking 15 pills a day. I also can not fit into any of my clothes, since I have been sick since January and haven't been able to work out, PLUS my stomach is so swollen I look like I am 6 months pregnant. I meet all of the criteria
Oh yeah! You and self-injector lady are most welcome! 15 pills? FINALLY someone who takes more than I do!
MY DH favorite thing to say is "She saves me so much money I"m broke!"
ds and I burn...easy

hence all the sunscreen...I got burned while I was in GA under an umbrella at my brother's pool! I actually think the burn made me sick!

And I have been so itchy!

yes, dh and I can have the map ready by the 9th

....I was planning on bringing it and handing it out in the port...but whatever works for the group is cool!

I will ask LoriS to post it on the yahoo group!! That saves me from having to email it to everyone

if you do not have access to the yahoo group LMK!
FYI The Environmental Working Group has a
comprehensive website that reviews 100s of sunscreen products.

Of course the best ranked sunscreens are from the Ive-never-heard-of-these-people

type companies. But many of the mass market brands do have some good items.
We just bought sunscreen for the cruise using their information: Water Babies Pure & Simple for the baby, Coppertone Kids for DS, Coppertone Ultra SPF 70 for me, Sport for DW and some sunscreen sticks for DS face to make sure we dont get it near his eyes.
I just got him some nice flip flops last night for the cruise, and he refused to wear them. He doesn't like the little thing that goes between your toes.....

So he wears these brown tennis shoes, untied, with every casual outfit......

oh, well, I tried! He did agree to wear the kind you just slip your foot into.....that has a band that goes across the top of your foot

I can't understand that....I LIVE in flip flops, sometimes even in the winter when I can get away with it!
You would get along with my coworkers from NM
the rocket and laser scientists. Do you have a PhD in physics? Or at least a double masters in engineering and astrodynamics?
With all due respect to Jimmy

Im not a fan of flip-flops either, toe thingy notwithstanding. Well, if youre going to try and change him (fess up and admit it) then how about some alternatives? I love my Keen Newport H2s
wore them most of the time for port calls, the beach etc. Theyre comfy, cool and waterproof. No, I dont wear socks with them

Aww, thanks so much for the sweet wishes...sadly, I was laid off yesterday. Well, in all honesty, as previously mentioned i did NOT like my job and it gave me a lot of stress, so while it is rather inconvenient to be laid off 2 weeks before my wedding (further proof my boss is a doodoo head, lol) I ma glad to be free of the stress and my DH to be is even happier as he has "his holly back". So, we are trying to relax, enjoy our last few weeks as an unmarried couple and have fun with last minute planning, get married, go on our honeymoon and then come back in jump into the unemployment game! I am actually hoping to become a Disney TA, and any pixie dust you guys can send our way would be much appreciated as we are now both unemployed!

I've been laid off before...come into work one day as usual only to find out 1/3 of the facility was terminated just like that. At leas we got 60 days... A guy I work with is evaluating his options after getting a RIF notice. He's being a little picky right now because he has to make sure his next gig will cover his partner under his benefits. Otherwise he'll take a money grub, er, contractor

position: absolutely no benefits--no group health plan, no vacation accrual, no sick leave, no personal days, no vision plan--just a straight salary of $80/hour and $120/hour for overtime. They estimate 50-60 hours per week. 9-12 months contract.
He would be responsible for obtaining his own benefits (medical, dental, vision etc). Actually, he will get "vacation". After accumulating one man year of 2,080 billable hours (80 hours/pay period X 26 biweekly pay periods) they will cut him a check for one 40 hour week of pay. So, it's up to him to either take a week off or not and essentially get paid for an extra week.
A wedding, honeymoon and trip with some nutty Internet pals ought to get you fixed up!
