Just wanted to check in with our fellow cruisers. Paige it sounds like your DS is going to look so cute and your DH too of course. I told future DH it's too bad we can't just take his tux from the wedding on the cruise.

Awww thanks! I think your DHTB should be able to take his tux with him too! We bought dh and ds a tux from "The Tuxx Man" cheap!! Now dh will have his in case we cruise again and hopefully I can sell ds's once it gets too small and buy another! Wea re all set for formal wear and I am so thrilled to have that behind me. Now once I pay off the cruise I will feel better . The excitement builds each day for me! I had another interview today so just pray I can start working and make us some sruise money!

Wanted to check in with everyone. Things have been very stressful here. My dh just got news that he may get laid off or the plant may close all together (business has been down since Sep 08). He is a welder and group leader for a huge lighting manufacturer and they are being so secretative about what the plans are. All we know is he will find out Thursday or Friday if he even has a job for Monday..hows that for notice? Right now we are still planning the cruise but have to July to cancel if finances get too tight. I would be devastated. Its the one time out of the year we look forward to for months in advance, we've been cruising every year since 2003 and can't imagine not being able to go. I'm gonna think postive, and hope things will get better.
Everyones formal outfits sounds really nice. I haven't gotten mine yet but did buy a cute little black dress for the semi formal night, it has like little diamond accents (not too flashy), its really cute.
How has everyones weather been, here in WV it can't make up its mind, warm one day and cold the next. It was really chilly today, windy and may even snow flurry tonight, man I wish spring would get here to stay, looking forward to being able to get outside.

After 22 years of working at a gold mine (making a pretty decent salary) my dad now sells cars at the local Chevy dealership... I understand the commission only joys! I lucked out and "fell" into another job (I currently have 3!) that actually pays some money, which is how I can afford this luxury! Oh the things I can do without with my Disney Cruise in mind!!! Love and prayers!

crazy stinkin' economy, bah humbug, that's what I say!

My thoughts, prayers, pixie dust, well wishes, and whatever else you may need are going out to everyone tonight. Be it a job, an interview, a commission, an extra little bit to tide you over, good health, safety, or whatever your plate is full with or devoid of. . . may it be so for you and yours.

Ours will be one cruise that is greatly appreciated by many I have a feeling. A true celebration.

Lovin' that we are under that 5 months to go mark!

Formal attire is stressing me, pirate night is inspiring me and my teens are having no part in Mama dressin' either one of them!

My little ones are asking at least twice a day how much longer to go. And filling there banks with coins and dollars whenever they get them.

Hope everyone is as excited as I am, DFiance and I are planing like crazy for the cruise and the land portion. Right now we are pickign excursions so when that date comes around, we are ready! I am also working on FE gifts and can't wait to get the final count for it!

What part of WV? - I live in the Lewisburg area and the weather here is the same way. I know exactly what you are talking about with the positive thinking. I work for the Greenbrier Resort and if you live in WV you know what an issue we are going through but I just keep telling myself things will work out and I will get to cruise!!!

Just checking in to say hi. We had a DCL cruise meeting on Sunday with DD and DS-I-L. Looking forward to 6/22 to book excursions, Palo, etc.

Anyone from or live in the Morgantown, WV area? My DS and family live there. I love that area. I'll be back in Morgantown Mother's Day weekend for my grandson's 7th birthday.

Thanks for the well wishes everyone. I wish the economy would pick up, its so sad to hear of so many great huge companys closing, as for the company dh works for, rumor is it may go to Mexico, wouldn't surpise me, when David started working there it employed over 400, now its like 100, with more layoffs this week, crossing fingers dh don't get hit but I hate for anyone to lose their jobs. Gonna think positive. Please keep that pixie dust coming our way. Oh, and I live near Hinton WV (30 miles from Beckley). Its suppose to reach 80's this Sat, I hope!

Well, we usually make a countdown calendar with 100 days to go but for some reason we are just too excited about this cruise - I think it's because we have our neighbors joining us this time!! So, we did one at the 150 days to go mark. Just thought I would share

SO COOL!!! We are very excited too!! Yesterday I booked our flights and got a reasonably cheap fare, we are flying from Madrid to Atlanta, GA on September 6th, then we will be visiting some relatives in Greenville, SC and Lake Cherokee, TN. We are planning to drive down to FL on Sept 13th and spend the whole week before our cruise in Orlando.

Looking forward to sailing with y'all

LOVE IT YONNKRSGIRL!

My two little ones sooo want me to do this. I had said one months chain links at a time but after March chain did not do April at all! They are so frustrated with Mommy!

So I think I will jump back in with May 1st.

We did posters and they loved them at the 100 day mark for WDW and monthly cross off calendars for trips planned closer in but somehow I can't decide this time. Stick with the chain, do a 100 day poster, monthly calendars. . .They are struggling to understand months/weeks/days time frames. (they are almost 4 and 6).

Thats what I need JanDAve!!! A family meeting to plan plan plan. Except my DH and teenagers think I've lost my mind for focusing so much of my attention on something so far out! Darn, have to see how far Morgantown is and join your family I guess!
