Paige- I hope you get the job. We listed our house last night with a realtor. We moved in just 4 months ago. When we contracted to buy it was just a whole in the ground. It's way too big for the two of us. We miss that cozy feeling from living in an apt. When you get your new job send buyers our way!

Monica-the calendar is way cool! We can't put up anything like that, must keep the house very neat and tidy in case someone wants to look at it. I am crossing off the days on my calendar at work. For some reason it seems much closer now.

So many things to do before Sept. I need to work on FE gifts, magnets, luggage etc. I just booked airfare and was able to get a great price! Cruise is all paid off ( tax check)

Welcome newbies! So glad to have you. Can't wait to meet up with all the Dissers on our cruise.

Any other Delawareans cruising with us? Lots from MD and PA I think. The mid atlantic is well represented!

Has anyone talked anymore about getting lime green "something" for all of us? Those "live strong" kinda bracelets or lanyards or something else we could personalize for our cruise? Just curious, not exactly volunteering BUT would participate and buy whatever for me and my crew. Someone with the ability to except paypal would be a good canidate tho!

And where did our group logo end up?

yeah, that's me, checking in but not doing a thing except staring at the calendar and starting to freak out about all I do need to do between now and Sept 19th


OH! but I did think of a fun and easy way to get some participation going between all of our "cruise meet thread group members" (Tell me if this is dumb, go ahead I can take it!) How about if on the 19th of every month between now and September we have a "ROLL CALL DAY" and everyone post on that day to check in and catch up? It would be fun to see all the regulars and newbies who will check in? Soooo, May 19th anyone???

I am totally up for roll call day I think it would be a great way to get us all involved and excited!
I have been so busy lately between planning the wedding and planning for WDW and planning for the cruise! YIKES! Last night I went to try on my wedding dress for the first time and am so happy to say that it fit! I had ordered a size smaller than recommended because I was planning to lose weight...23lbs later and I got myself in it! Now I can relax about that and think happy thoughts about the Disneymoon Can't wait to make all the ADR's for both portions of the trip. I have about 10 spreadsheets right now, lol. I have the days nice and planned out so we have an idea of what the heck we are gonna do when we are there!

Thanks for the welcome and thank you dennismcneely for the link to yahoo group. I joined and am awaiting approval. I love Dis boards for all the inside information. At work I pace myself with rewards of breaks reading new posts. My niece cruises with her twin girls every January and never plannned or researched anything; they still have a wonderful time. I just enjoy the pre-trip planning almost as much as vacationing.

wow, every January, now doesn't that just sound like a decadent way to get away from winter!

and as dumb as it sounds, I am already lamenting missing out on free dining this fall so much so I am trying every which way I can dream up to either tack it on to the cruise or pray they have it into Nov/Dec again this year. . .oh please oh please! It really makes it stunningly affordable when you have to feed 6 one way or another! What I really need is a super beyond great deal for late June as I will have some time and a wee bit of money and two less kids for a week! Last year we went in June with just our two little ones (DS5 and DD3) and it was so nice to be able to just get a regular room and have two for real "kids" (no one over 10!). But alas, no deals at the moment for my dates. (somewhere between 6/19-6/28).

so anyway, I am quite sure I should simply remain grateful for such an awesome deal on our cruise and continue sopping up all the info I can get between now and the next

we weren't planning on doing anything but the cruise this year.. but when Disney sprinkled Pixie dust on the military, we jumped.. and since the Food and Wine festival is around the time of the cruise.. so much the better!. Free dining is not for us...waaaaayyyyyyy too dang much food for 2 people and besides we stay at SoG anyway.. but wine?! around the world?! Oh yeah I am soooo there!!!!!

I have a countdown too..and it is LESS than 147 days.. this deployment is HALF OVER!!!!!

I am up for a monthly countdown. I do have a bad habit of not checking in this thread daily.

Well, we usually make a countdown calendar with 100 days to go but for some reason we are just too excited about this cruise - I think it's because we have our neighbors joining us this time!! So, we did one at the 150 days to go mark. Just thought I would share

kileybeth i received an offer from Disney last week in the mail: Kids 3-9 stay free and for 4 night/5days Stay Play and Dine the cost is $658(other resorts higher charge)...so that covers a room at a Value resort, tickets into parks and free dining , Sun -Thurs. The dates are 5/22/09-6/12/09 and 6/24/09-8/8/09...I have a pin number if u can use it

Just checking in again. Well, we found out on Friday dh still has a job for now, he goes to first shift (which he hates) and loses about $650 a month, and we won't know nothing else until June, hopefully business will pick up and he can start getting overtime and I am going tomorrow for an interview for a little part time job to add to the full time I already have. Had a little yard sale yesterday on the spare of the moment and made almost $500, man I wanna cruise. Its the only time you can get away and leave the stress and worries behind and I need it. Please keep sending that pixie dust our way.

I didn't do anything special, it just came in the mail. It is a little book listing all the excursions, stateroom gifts, and thing you can order. It also lists getting ready and packing tips.

Congratulations on the job Paige! Now bring us some clients. It might be a bit of a drive to show the house. We live in Southern Indiana and it's been on the market a whole five days. Am I being a little impatient?
