Hi All

Just wanted say welcome to all the new comers as I haven't posted in a while. Can't wait to see you all on the ship!!!

We have started buying things for our FE gifts but can't decide what else to add, how much is everyone spending or are people making things? We don't want to look mean

Off to Italy with work this week, so catch up soon and it will be a week closer

This gnarly bachelor from Kissimmee booked his first Disney cruise yesterday and wishes to check in today.

(I tired to add karma to our cruise by posting a picture of the Magic I took from the Carnival Glory two years ago, but it has been censored until I have posted ten times)

Yeah...It seems like I FINALLY just got PMing/Picture/Link rights! I know the frustration, but I can easily see why they've got the restriction!!

Looks like it's gonna be a great trip! Counting down the days til I don't have to deal with the world!

Is the FE still open? Our friends that are sailing with us would like to participate. I had sent her the info. regarding signing up, but she isn't used to posting on the DIS, and just now asked that I try to add them too. They have 2 adults, and 1-8yo boy in their group, if there is any way that they can still be added! We did the FE on our 11/08 cruise, and loved it!

It is closed as we were all getting stressed about the financial strain so many cabins were taking. I am sure if your friends wanted to start a 2nd group, they'd probably get some interest from the new comers...

I'm so confused! I wanted to book a dolphin encounter on my own, not going through disney excursions (I just want to be able to come and go on my own time, as well as save a little $$). I was told by Dolphin Discovery (the one in Chankanaab Park) that they can't book for anyone on a Disney cruise - that you have to book it through Disney?? I thought I had read many, many posts of people who had booked that excursion on their own?? Has anyone else ever heard of this? Any suggestions?

Gretchen: DCL has an exclusive on some excursions. you can only book through them and not on your own.

Well, I went ahead and tried to book the dolphin excursion online with Dolphin Discovery in Chankanaab, and it looks like it went through. It took my cc info, and gave me a confirmation.

One of the required fields was "name of hotel" and I just put "no hotel" and left it at that. So, so far, so good, I guess.

I was wondering, with that policy of "no outside booking with disney cruises", what they would do if someone just came to their park and paid to get in and went to do the dolphin encounter. How would they know? I guess that policy only applies to advanced bookings??

Anyway, thank you for the info!!
I want to go look at that thread anyway.....just curious.....

I too want to book the Dolphin excursion, but in Grand Cayman. I would book with DCL, but they don't offer the Royal Swim - where you are given the "foot push" by the dolphins. That one you can only get by going to their website. I'm going to try the advice on the aforementioned thread and see how it goes

I am reading My Sisters Keeper right now and as everyone has told me it is much better then the movie... Its an easy read but might be a little bit of a downer for a cruise. How about Janet Evanovich she is a good guilty pleasure, at least her numbers series... let me know if you are interested, my BFF is in North Wilmington and has the whole series I am sure she would let ya take a few... She is also cruising with us so she can bring some of them along if ya want. Then of course there is the Twilight series but I think the whole family might toss me over if I bring even one of those books on board!

Just wanted to check to see if you were referring to the FE List when you said your name wasn't posted on it??? I didn't have your name on mine either that I have been keeping up with?? It's not on the original one that was posted in POST #1 (where I took it over from either) I am really confused??? I certainly don't want you to be missed if you are working on gifts but is it possible you are listed under another name or with someone else? I am not sure why you would have been missed but like I said - you weren't on the original list that was passed to me when I started to track all the FE Participants???

I am thinking I remember HC in passing telling me that he volunteered for the posting but I am not positive! Just to calm my nerves, I went onto the Yahoo group and I don't see our name on the list there.... Am I missing the location? I have been working every night get get gifts done!
I started shopping today for things, our DD has not grown in months and now overnight she has poped out of her 12 month clothes and seems to be needing 18months! Darn her for growning I mean she is only 17 months old! So things are getting bought for her! Our DS needs some new shoes but I am waiting till closer to the sail date since he grows like a weed!
Fingers crossed that all goes well over the next few weeks and we get everything done!

I had just posted about this and "quoted" the wrong message - sorry! I am not sure why your name is not on the list but it wasn't on the one that was posted on the front page when I took it over??? I am not sure what happened? Does anyone remember??? I was not the keeper of the list from the beginning so just trying to figure it out - especially since you are working on your gifts already!!! HELP!!!!

I am almost 100% positive that Gabbie is jonesings wife. I had been watching their posts because they are from Arizona . There was a comment back on page 83 or something that made a reference to him talking about DE. I think it's all good for the FE list.
Not sure on the bracelets though for them, I noticed they would have 12 bracelets! We definiately would notice them! Holly, if you are stuck with any extras, I will gladly buy some of them. And my original idea still could work, take the extras, add a bit of an additional cost to them and sell them at the port.
