Happy Independence Day to all my American buddies! Hope your day was awesome as we celebrated our freedoms with our friends and families!

I'm quite convinced that these next 2 months are going to fly by! I'd better kick my butt in gear and get things ready! Hope everyone is doing well!

Maybe you could get perkaset (sp). They gave it to me years ago after my c-section. My mom called them my "happy pills." I felt no pain w/ them. I wish they'd given them to w/ the first c-section!! They sent me home w/ advil. Needles to say it did absolutely nothing. I'm sorry you have to have another surgery. Here's some double pixie dust & a hug. Get well soon.

Yes, I have been on them since I got home from the hospital ( I was on morphine while I was there), although I try to only take them before bed. Thank you for the pixie dust and hug!

Hello!

DH and I spent yesterday on Mackinac Island. While watching the parasailers on the lake, I decided to book the parasailing excursion on CC. Can't wait to try that out!

mamjojo: I have been concerned about you and hoping your health problems are resolved before the cruise. Everyday I will send pixie dust and my well wished your way. Pain is no fun at all :-(

I am hoping I can stay up tonight to make Pal resssies for 75 days out first time cruiser. I am trying not to stress with planning because I am so happy to be going; just sitting on a deck chair will be wonderful.

I'm also going to try to stay up to make Palo reservations. I hope there are some left for us first time cruisers. When we booked last Feb. it seemed like forever. Now I can't believe how fast it's coming up. I'm so excited. My mom's making me a costume for pirate night. It's one like Elizabeth Swan wore in the beginning of the first Pirate movie. I wasn't planning on doing this, but when she found out I was looking for a costume she insisted on making it. O.k. she didn't insist, she just took my measurements & told me to pick material. She loves making costumes so what could I do. I'm very excited about it, it's going to be beautiful!!! Anyone else dressing up for pirate night?

ok weird thing happened. Thursday I made our final payment to DU to pay off the cruise. ~$1100. They processed it Thursday afternoon, I got my email confirming it and I was able to book our excursions.

Friday I saw the charge posted on our bank account online. Checking account balance dropped by that much.

Saturday morning I looked at the checking account balance again. Cruise charge is gone and the account has increased by that much.

Reservation is still on the DCL website and excursions are still there. Holiday weekend so I can't call DU who processed the payment but I'm wondering what happened. I still keep checking the DCL site to make sure the reservation is good. Plus I've printed out the DU page showing I paid off the cruise and have a zero balance. Plus I printed out the email from DU saying my payment processed.

Just catching up, hope everyone had a wonderful weekend, and great 4th. These weeks are flying by and before we know it, we will all be on the magic having a great time.

It is a bit freaky for me too, as I booked/paid through DU and can't see that Paid in Full status on DCL becasue of it. My TA promises all is well, but if my money showed back up in my account, I would so be emailing my
TA and calling DCL asap. Hope all is well!

So how many are staying up tonight to book through DCL website?

Well that went well; I did not get my first choice for Palo because I did not want to eat at 9 on Thursday so settled for Sunday at 8. I noticed no brunch or tea was available and dinner said for parties of 1-2. Hope all got what they wanted. Time for sleep.

Well that wasn't bad at all...several Palo times open. Stick in the mud DW and DSIL aren't game for Palo at 6pm and then the late seating at 8:30pm! Dang, that 8:30pm 4th meal would have been nice

Palo dinner, both DKs registered and Flounder's time booked. Not much else to do except decide on shore excursions if any. I would surprise DW & DSIL with a mani/pedi but I think they'd rather have them done before boarding. (And at half the cost for me )

LCrain and I stayed up until midnight to book our stuff, We did not really want any Palo, so that was okay. Got mostly what we wanted would have like to do more in KW but everything conflicted. Now we just have to wait for the cruise. Wow this is going to be hard.

but we made our Palo ressies...late on Tues night 9pm...this way we can snack with the kiddos and get them settled and head to Palo.

I also booked dh a massage! A b-day gift...he is going to be in heaven!

man it really feels REAL now after completing the forms and making ressies!

How is everyone? Are you getting excited? What is your "must get done for the cruise" project? Mine is FE gifts...I gotta get moving!

I must get going on my FE gifts also!!! I know what we are doing - just need to get it rolling! It would also probably be a good idea to purchase a fish extender - just dawned on me - so worried about the gifts never thought about buying the extender itself!!! LOL How many cabins are we up to now??? I have a list from a while back but have not kept up with additions.

We got our Palo reservation. Sunday at 6, we like to eat early. We aren't booking any excursions. I almost have my FE gifts done. Just one thing left!! I still haven't found an evening dress I like, guess I better get a move on. My mom is apparently now making costumes for my hubby & youngest son, Kyle. Kyle is very excited, but hasn't decided on shoes, maybe he should be a barefoot pirate. (Just kidding, I'm too germaphobic(mysophobic) to let him do that.) I hear they did that to save wear on their shoes. I guess he'd have trouble getting in the dining room that way.
