9/19/09 Western Magic

How old is your dd? The reason I ask is I have two that will be on the cruise, one will be 9 and one will be 2, and the older one would love it if she had someone to hang out with in the kid's clubs.
My older dd will turn 9 while we are at Castaway Cay. My younger will be 6 in Key West. I am sure she would be thriled to "know" someone going into the kids club. But as of now the cruise is still a secret, haven't decided when we are going to tell the girls yet.

I finally made it thru the entire postings for this thread! Wahoo! I don't know much about names, but here's a slogan...
"We Pirates speak upon this day, and with Captain Mickey, we sail away."
I know, too much time hanging out with small children!
I'm a solo traveler, so I'm not much for the FE's, but the Promenade Lounge sounds promising... virgin Mai Tais call my name!!! Heaven knows I'd never be good with alcohol!!! :rotfl:
Is it September yet??? ;)

How do you like:

Talking Pirates Taking Prisoners- Partying from Key West to Cozumel

I like this one....it covers the pirate theme and the celebration theme on our specific cruise. So what do you all think?

DH John says we should use Talking Pirate.....I like it.

I think I like this last one the best!

Let me know when/if you decide to telll them, I'm sure my dd would love to know someone as well. She's not really shy, but can be a little quiet in new situations until she feels comfortable. We'll be at the Promanade meet the first night, maybe they can meet up then if you wait until closer to tell them.

I absolutely LOVE it and have not taken it off. Thanks again for your well wishes.....I had a fudgie the whale carvel ice cream birthday cake. Naturally, there was champagne involved. It was all good.

:offtopic: Do any of you dress up for formal night, and if so, how much? Do you go all out with the fancy dress and tuxes or just a simple dress? :confused3 I found a dress that I LOVE and have almost convinced myself I'd love to wear on formal night, but I'm afraid I might be over-doing it a bit... What do you all think? ;)

In the past I have done a pretty dress, but my oldest in making her First Communion, so I plan to have her wear her dress from that. Of course the I will get a pretty dress for my youngest too then. I am considering getting dh a tux, but we will see as it gets closer.

I was looking over the group name stuff and was overwhelmed by the choices... so instead of narrowing it down I added another one, lol. Forgive me if it makes no sense, I'm on sinus meds. How about an acronym?

We could also have one of the great slogan suggestions with it. Just a thought... like I said, sinus meds.

Deb, love the bday gift. :)

nvcruiser, there are people in all types of dress on formal night from tuxes to what I would consider almost casual. On ours there have been many who looked formal. We like to dress up, DH wear a nice suit, DS wears a suit, DD and I in formal type dresses. I have a floor length black dress that I wore in my sister's formal wedding and I have worn that both times. I'll try to post a pic if I can find one later. If you have a dress that you love, wear it!! Besides, it makes for a great picture, which is what you have left afterward. :)

Karen, where are you? Are you off practicing cooking for Thanksgiving? :rotfl: Did you get your tires?

I like it, I think it's my favorite so far. What about adding Mickey to it? Like Mickey's Talking P.I.R.A.T.E.S?

Hey Melissa,
Still here. I have learned so much about tires that it is just not normal. BUT, it's done. I am now not doing Thanksgiving at my house because at last count we were going to have 20:scared1:. And I decided that there is not enough alcohol in this world that will help me get through that meal. SO, my sister stepped up to the plate and is making the meal at her house:rotfl: . AH, no cleaning, no prep, no shopping for all of it.:cheer2: I am going to start decorating for Christmas this weekend, and start packing for my trip to Disneyland. Can I get anyone anything from Disneyland while we are there?

Love the acronym!! That is some good sinus medication:laughing: I can't believe the holidays are almost here. Then the cruise is the next biggest thing on our calendar:love: .
Deb, your pictures are wonderful and you looked amazing..
Now, I have to ask, forgive me if this is stupid, BUT, what exactly is/are the Champagne Girls?

As far as dressing up, DH will wear a nice suit (provided it still fits) and I will wear a nice formal dress (not ballroom, just *nice*). DD will wear a dress. We don't have many opportunities to dress up where we live. DH works outside in jeans, I prefer shorts and sandals. SO, we like to feel comfy in our dressy clothes. There were so many different types of attire on our last cruise, that anything would pass. And regardless, you wouldn't feel out of place.

I like having "Mickey" with it... do you like it better up front, like "Mickey's Talking P.I.R.A.T.E.S., or better at the end like "Talking P.I.R.A.T.E.S., Cruising the Caribbean with Captain Mickey" (or something like that, I was too lazy to go look back at all the exact slogans, lol)

Thanks for asking... you saved me from having to do it!

Glad to hear you got the tires handled... that's a major project. And that you got out of T'giving dinner. Wish I was going to DL with you!

Hi All....Love the Talking P.I.R.A.T.E.S. I like Mickey's Talking PIRATES, but will go with whatever the group decides. It's all good.

The champagne girls are a group of women only who got together on the PC cruise in May 08. We all wore pink and did a champagne tasting. One of our co-cruisers provided the alcohol and the information since she owned a wine store. We all learned about and drank champagne. We also had a mascot, Sassy Bubbles, who dressed in pink like tink. We all wore tiaras too. We took a picture.

Now that is my kind of cruise! I love that whole idea of The Champagne Girls!
So now we may become the M.T.P group?

I wish you were going with us to Disneyland as well! It is the last bang:wizard: before going back to school--hint----hint...:upsidedow

I love the P.I.R.A.T.E.S. idea.... care to share any of that sinus medicine?!? ;) Thanks for the input on dressing up... I think I'm gonna drop a hint to Santa as to where he can find the "perfect" present for me!!! :rolleyes1 Is it September yet??? ;)
