9/16-10/3 The trip that dreams are made of....

Thanks for the great trip report. It reminds me that so much of enjoying a trip is attitude. I've read TRs where the people were so unhappy, complaining about everything -- and I've just got to think that some of these people will just not be happy anywhere. I like to think I'm like you, and am able to let little things roll off my shoulder and enjoy myself.

When I was reading about losing your stuff at TL, it reminded me of when we were on our way to our Disney cruise in June. We'd stayed at the Hyatt the night before the cruise, and hadn’t rushed down for the first bus, just thought we’d take our time.

As we went to line up behind the CM with the Dopey sign I pulled out our documents. Went into my purse for my ID… where’s my ID? I had thought I was being pretty smart the day before carrying my ID around in the back pocket of my jeans. It worked out well when I had to pull it out several times at the airport, but I had forgotten to take it out of my pocket!

I started to panic, and told the CM about my dilemma. She radioed to someone else who took our party downstairs to where they were loading the luggage. When we got to the garage, I saw a truck the size of a small moving van almost ½ filled to the top with luggage. How was I going to find my garment bag in there? Then, in a pile of luggage waiting to be loaded was my bag -- luckily, I knew where the jeans were and found them right away -- tragedy diverted!

Sorry to go on so long -- had to tell my story!

Lisa

Great story! ;) :lmao: Thanks for sharing it! It's nice to know that others have some "guess what I did" stories of their own!! :thumbsup2

Our family does tend to be pretty much on the happy side most of the time...but I really just don't get how people can go to WDW and not be happy. I dream of my minutes their all year long and I refuse to waste them being upset/angry or otherwise not enjoying my time. My boys will only be little once and having this magical time with them...well, it's not going to be spoiled by anything! :goodvibes

I am taking time out of my packing because I just HAD to post this. This week my family was up in Indianapolis (where we are moving). Me and the girls were driving through hubby's new office complex to pick him up from work and these signs were everyone in the complex. I started CRACKING UP and of course immediately thought of you!!!! My girls thought I was nuts driving around the complex and taking a picture while driving but I HAD TO...

speedhump.jpg

:lmao: :rotfl: :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl: :rotfl2: OH MY GOODNESS...they have those "other places"!! How funny! Thanks for thinking of me! I SOOOO loved seeing that photo. I even showed dh! :lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl:

Indianapolis is AWESOME! We are in KY and I make sure to take the boys there at least every other year for a trip to see the museums. The Children's Museum there is second to none! IT IS GREAT!!! We spent two days in a row there and still didn't see it all!! We also love the art museum. You will be having so much fun getting to know your new city!! :woohoo:

:wizard: for a smooth move!! And thanks again for posting that picture!!

I guess I misspoke. It's not a secret machine per say... It is one of the Test Track "regular" fast pass machines but each time we used it this past trip it spit out fast passes for not only Test Track but for Mission Space as well. I believe it was the 5th one from the right if you are facing the front of the machines. It also worked for our neighbors who went two weeks later. Hope that helps. :)
GREAT report! You're getting me so excited about the trip we've decided to do this year! I've been addicted to reading your trip report for the past week and finally am up to date. Looking forward to reading the rest of your vacation!

I have to ask though, it's been bugging me all day .. can you fill me in on the secret fast pass machine in Epcot? I have to admit as much research as I've done in the past this is one secret that I've never heard of .. please share!

Our last full day found us all sleeping in. When I awoke the room was still "dark" (those sun blocking drapes really do a great job). I lay there for a minute thinking about fun we had been having all vacation long and the fun that the day before us had in store...I also let that nagging thought creep in...today was my last full day of Disney magic....sniff sniff....but I was able to push that thought from my mind when I went to the windows and threw open the drapes, pushed open the sliding door and stepped out on to the balcony. I let the light slowly do it's job of waking my sleepy heads while I sat on the balcony soaking up the peace and happiness of a Disney morning. Soon though it was time to hop to it. We had a late breakfast at Ohana to attend. We would be dining with our good family friends at this meal and of course, our good Disney friends as well (Stitch, Lilo, Mickey and Pluto).

Upon entering the GCH and making our way up the staircase to Ohana we found our friends already waiting to be seated. We had linked our dining reservation so this meant we were already checked in. After a very short wait it was time for one of all of our favorite meals. Nothing fancy or fru fru...just good old fashioned stick to your ribs breakfast food. Fresh fruit, biscuits, waffles, coffee cake (I think), sausages, bacon, and scrambled eggs. And boy was it good!! It was served family style which was great. We all ate more then our fill this meal!! All ten of us were seated as one table and the platters were bountiful and always replenished quickly (we were emptying them pretty quickly too;) ).

Here is a picture of one satisfied little "Stitch". He loved the food this meal.
aftercruise094.jpg

Here is our little "Stitch" with his best little friend, "Cinderella". As you can tell by the smiles on their faces, vacationing with some of your favorite people is a GREAT way to have some serious fun!
aftercruise103.jpg

And here they are looking back out of the big picture window that was directly across from our table. They were watching the monorail zip by in the distance.
aftercruise108.jpg

Here is "Aladdin" with a huge smile on his face! He loved this meal as well!
aftercruise106.jpg

The first character to stop by and visit us was Lilo. She was sweet and made a big deal over the little Stitch stuffed animal that our little "Stitch" had brought with him to breakfast.
aftercruise085.jpg

She made motions that "Stitch" and the other boys should take good care of her favorite little alien and passed out hugs to everyone (including the stuffed stitch doll) before leaving the table.

After Lilo came to see us, it was time for some maracas/parade fun. Here is a picture of "Goofy" (holding his tiny Pluto toy) and "Stitch" taking part in the parade and shaking their maracas for all they were worth.
aftercruise091.jpg

In this next picture, notice that our "Stitch" is getting help from his little "Stitch" in the parade.
aftercruise092.jpg

And the two "Stitches" celebrate the end of a fun parade!
aftercruise093.jpg

The next character to stop by was "Goofy's" favorite....Pluto of course!!
aftercruise096.jpg

After Pluto came by, it was time for the real Stitch to meet a few of his biggest fans!!
Here is a photo of the three Stitches (and "Goofy" and "Aladdin" as well).
aftercruise097.jpg

The big Stitch was so taken with his smaller self that he tried to steal him!!:scared1:
aftercruise098.jpg

Lucky for us, our little "Stitch" is just as stitchity and he was able to steal his little stuffed Stitch back with no harm done!
aftercruise099.jpg

Finally, it was time...the big cheese was almost to our table (for a second time...he had missed us the first rotation through)...and ugh...Mickey passed us by. Just skipped us in the rotation (again). Here is my one not so happy interjection about the meal. When I explained to our server what had happened...she did nothing to help. I had to get up myself and mention that we were missed twice by Mickey in his regular rotations to the character handler. Within a few minutes Mickey made his way over to our table and he was greeted by many happy little ones eager to hug him!!
aftercruise102.jpg

And take pictures with him!!
aftercruise100.jpg

After our tasty and filling meal it was time to make our way out to the pools for an early afternoon (our breakfast really had been a late one...we didn't get out of there until almost 12:30 PM) swim. We once again met up with our great friends and took a dip in the volcano pool. After just a few minutes in the volcano pool this time (and a few slides down through the volcano) we just couldn't handle the cold and made our way over to the slightly warmer quiet pool. As we moved over, I made a quick stop at the bar for another Lapu Lapu (I love drinking out of a pineapple!!) and brought it with me to the quiet pool.

Once at the quiet pool we spent two hours splashing around and having a ton of fun!! The dads and the kids made up some sort of silly "Disney Olympics" sort of game that they played for over an hour while us moms alternated bobbing in the water with lounging next to the pool. At about 2:45 we said goodbye to our friends and made our way back upstairs (lucky for us, our long house was just steps away from the quiet pool area) to get ready for MNSSHP.

After a flurry of showers and pirate costuming it was time to head out....

HAPPY NEW YEARS EVE BARB!! I think I may have a change of plans...we may trick the boys tomorrow and tell them that we don't have a Disney trip in the works but rather are going to spend a long vacation in GA this year with family...after reading about some of the surprises people pulled off we thought it just might work...BUT....the problem is me. I am a BIG mouth! I don't know if I can hold in a surprise trip...so over the next few hours dh and I are still going to discuss what we will tell the kids.  Just don't know yet!

ANYHOO....HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!:dance3:

Update in the making!! :)

Happy New Year, Jay! Can't wait to hear what, if anything, you tell the boys. I know I certainly couldn't keep it a secret. I'm impressed you kept the secret about the Living Seas dinner celebration. I would have burst!!! I'm excited that it's 2007 now. This is our year for a "big" vacation. (We do every other year.) Kiddos are pushing for a cruise. We'll have to see if DCL is in the budget. Wouldn't that be great!
Loved the latest installment. I'm sad that it's coming to an end, too! Barb

The O'hana character breakfast is so much fun! Happy to see that you enjoyed it...and ooohhh so excited to hear about the MNSHP!

Still making my way through your great TR! We were there the same week as you (your first week, that is)...I have 3 boys, too--mine range from just turned 1 up to 5 1/2, so I'm about 5 years behind you...nice to get a glimpse of what vacationing without any babies or toddlers someday will be like!

ARGGHHH...The pirate family does MNSSHP. Our last night at the world.

All pirated up we were ready to head out. Our plan was to arrive by 4:00 PM at MK and enjoy the end of the day their before the start of the party at 7:00 PM. As we made our way to the great ceremonial hall we had more then a few people comment on us "LOOK...it's a family of pirates!!!!!!!" was a common thing we heard as well as people asking us where we were going and telling us they loved our costumes. When we finally got on the monorail we were the only ones dressed up....but we didn't care!! No mateys...we were pirates and proud of it! pirate:

Upon arrival at MK we grabbed a goody bag from those stationed outside of the front gates (yes, they were there at 4:00 PM) and then used our party tickets to get in. Our first order of business was an early dinner. We were hungry already having skipped lunch after such a late breakfast (or really having skipped breakfast before such an early lunch). So we headed over to the Village Haus for yet another good meal. I know some people are not big fans...but at least for our family...YUM YUM YUM!!
aftercruise276.jpg

aftercruise277.jpg

As we waited for dh to bring back the food my two littlest scallywags launched into a rendition of "YO HO YOU HOES...." (I swear that's how they were singing it...and not in any "naughty" kind of way, that's just what they thought it said!!) :rolleyes1 Anyhoo...as they were scalding the ears of other wee lassies and deckhands in earshot they were also looking cuter then a pirate should be allowed to look with their little arms locked around each other and huge grins spread wide on their faces. They were also swaying with (and into) each other as they sang. I love the set of pictures I snapped of them while they sang this song!!
aftercruise278.jpg

aftercruise279.jpg

aftercruise283.jpg

aftercruise286.jpg

Poor "Aladdin" just didn't know what to do...join in or crawl under the table and hide...
aftercruise288.jpg

After another good meal of pizza, fries and milkshakes(healthy eating??:lmao: ) we made our way out into the park once again...and now were starting to see other people in costumes joining us! WHEW...we were not the only adults dressed up (that's what dh said...as far as me, I really didn't care, I was a pirate and that was that pirate: ).

Up first, SNOW WHITE...really...my boys love this ride? WHY??? HUH??? I don't know the answer...but they do. So we rode it again...three times in a row!! Here are some of the pictures I took (we were in our own cart so I went ahead and used flash...shhhh).;) :rolleyes1

aftercruise298.jpg

YES...I did go hog wild with the pictures but my boys love the ride and I wanted to have enough pictures to do a scrapbook layout of one of their favorite rides. And I liked the photos so much that I then wanted to share them with you! Lucky aren't ya??! Hee, hee, hee.

After we got done on Snow White we took a quick ride with Pooh, another with Peter and then went over and watched Donald get into all sorts of trouble with Mickey's hat! We then made our way over to a semi quiet area and right after I snapped this quick picture of Cinderella...
aftercruise299.jpg

we made a phone call to our friends to find out where they were. They had planned on meeting us at about 6:00 PM and it was a bit before that and we wanted to know where they wanted to meet....OUR POOR FRIENDS...they were stuck on the monorail. They told us they would call us back once the monorail started to move again. While we waited we headed over to enjoy a few more of our favorite rides...

ARGGHHH...The pirate family is still almost doing MNSSHP and loving it!!

While waiting on our friends (and sending up quick prayers that they make it soon so we could meet up and enjoy our night together) we headed over to do one more Philharmagic adventure...as we walked in the CM near the turnstile asked us how many were in our party. When we told him we had five he told us that we were having a magical dream moment and asked if we wanted to warm up the audience. We said sure. "Aladdin" was given maracas, "Goofy" had cymbals, dh had a tambourine and "Stitch" and I shared some bongo drums...I must say...we sounded oh so good :lmao: ! It was a ton of fun and we loved being announced to all of the guests! No...our second dream in YoMD was not a big one either...but it was pure fun and a special moment we will not soon forget! THANKS DISNEY!!!

After our last Philharmagic adventure we went on to do a "must do" at any Halloween event...the Disney version of a haunted house...the Haunted Mansion. The CM's here were done up to the hilt! They looked great!!!!
aftercruise301.jpg

aftercruise304.jpg

"Goofy" and dh went to ride one last time on Snow White while "Aladdin" and "Stitch" and I went to the Haunted Mansion. It was a great time. A little scary but in an oh so good way!

After getting off of the ride we wandered over and took a few shots with the haunted mansions ghosts...
aftercruise305.jpg

aftercruise306.jpg

And then "Stitch" saw "it" through a doorway...JACK SKELLINGTON...he loves him...so we had to go in and check out what he could find. As "Stitch" was looking in wide eyed wonder at all of the Jack dolls around "Aladdin" came over with one he thought "Stitch" would love.
aftercruise302.jpg

And he was right..."Stitch" loved it and STILL carries that thing almost everywhere he goes!!
aftercruise303.jpg

Jack Skellington safely in tow we met back up with the rest of our family. Dh told me he had gotten another call from our dear friends...they were at the Grand Floridian...HUH??? Well, the monorail was "down" so they were herded off at the GF and they were now in line for a boat over to MK. UGH...they said the line was long and they were nowhere near the front of it! I felt so badly for them...but we continued on with our fun with our phone on so they could call as soon as they got there.

As we cut through to take a ride with some other pirates, "Aladdin" took some photos of these beautiful birds...anybody know what kind they are?? I know, I know, I have a million bird books and could go and look...but why look at a book when I can write a trip report and get the same info?? ;)

aftercruise308.jpg

aftercruise309.jpg

aftercruise310.jpg

A quick photo of the bird photographer himself...
aftercruise311.jpg

As we walked over we noticed something...IT WAS NOW 7:00 PM and all day guests were being asked to leave the park! WOO HOO!!! MNSSHP HAD OFFICIALLY BEGUN!!!

The first indication we saw was MANY CM's checking wristbands as people milled around. Just a few minutes after 7:00 we almost walked right on to the Pirates of the Caribbean ride. Our wait was less then 5 minutes. Along the way I (of course) had to snap some more photos of my very own pirate crew.

aftercruise313.jpg

aftercruise314.jpg

aftercruise315.jpg

We saw a big group of college aged guys dressed as pirates get into the boat right before us...they were singing loudly as they departed and everyone waiting to board started clapping for them. It was a very funny moment.

Fast forward to us getting on the next boat...my little pirates start singing at the tops of their lungs too...and bless those standing in line...they clapped for my little pirates too! What fun! How awesome it was that everyone was in such high spirits and being so kind to each other!!

After getting out of pirate infested waters we got a call from our friends...they had just arrived. But since they had meant to get to MK much earlier had still not eaten. We told them to call us after they ate and we went off again in such of more pirate fun!!

As we walked away from pirates we saw a giant Timon and Pumba blow up. It was just for decoration...but "Aladdin" insisted on a picture of it.
aftercruise317.jpg

After he snapped that picture he took this one of his dad and brothers walking towards our first candy station of the night.
aftercruise318.jpg

But the road to the candy was fraught with danger!! SNAKES!!!
aftercruise319.jpg

aftercruise320.jpg

As we stopped to look at his snakes he said "You better stand still...look down but don't move!!!!!!!!!" :rotfl2:

aftercruise321.jpg

Thankfully "Stitch" had his snake defeating Crocs on and we were safe from the rubber snakes which were closing in around us on the ground. That was a really cute touch...it never would have been missed...but that CM fooling around with the rubber snakes and throwing them in the middle of the walkway just added a lot of fun and laughter and "scariness" to an already fun night!!

Snake pit run in averted we made our way into our first character photo op/ candy line. It wasn't bad. We waited about five minutes to see each character. First up was Baloo. I was remiss. I didn't think to jump in the picture myself (and drag dh in with me). GRRRR
aftercruise322.jpg

Next up we saw Rifiki!

aftercruise323.jpg

He is dh's favorite character so I assumed that I would be able to talk dh into the pictures.

aftercruise326.jpg

And at least for one of them...I was right!!

aftercruise327.jpg

MNSSHP is FINALLY in full swing!!!

After our visit with Rifiki we had our first candy encounter.
aftercruise329.jpg

aftercruise330.jpg

By the end of the night we had TONS of candy and we didn't even go to HALF of the candy stops. And by tons of candy, I mean that when Halloween rolled around almost a full month later (the date we attended MNSSHP was Oct. 2) we still had TONS of it left in our candy dish. We had gummy burgers and hot dogs and tons of good chocolates. No "generic" candy here! It was all the "good stuff".

As we were in line at the character/candy station we got another phone call from our friends. They were done eating and were over in Fantasyland so we headed over to find them. When we got there we called them and found out that they had thought they were supposed to come over and meet us so they were now over in Adventureland. We told them we would catch up with them in Tomorrowland later that night as we had already done that entire area and we stopped for a few rides in FL since we were already there. We rode on IASM. Once again, I clicked away (this time no flash). The first picture is of the boys waiting to board. Our wait was less then 3 minutes.

Enjoying your MNSSHP evening. What a bunch of handsome pirates (and a pretty wench)! :)

MNSSHP is well underway!!

After we ventured around the world via IASM we were once again lured on to Snow White's ride. I swear, my boys have this radar...no line...must do! :lmao: It's not a horrible ride...they just love it more then I could imagine anyone loving it ever!

So...I took the bait and once again (since we were in our own mining cart) took some pictures. And once again, you, lucky readers, get to share in them! ;)

aftercruise343.jpg

aftercruise344.jpg

aftercruise345.jpg

aftercruise346.jpg

aftercruise347.jpg

aftercruise348.jpg

aftercruise349.jpg

After FINALLY walking away from Snow White for the final time this trip we made our way over to Tomorrowland....lucky we made it through when we did...the parade started right after we walked through...of course, you know what that means, right??!! Our friends were stuck on the other side of the parade so they called us to let us know they wouldn't be joining us in Tomorrowland anytime soon but would join up with us later on to watch the parade. **TIP** If you want to meet up with someone at MNSSHP make a place/time and stick to it. Don't try to "get" to each other while you are there.**

MUSH ALERT!! As we walked along I was holding "Goofy's" hand and I was suddenly struck by how small and fragile it was yet how much bigger it was then when I had walked this same park holding it about this time the past year. I almost started to cry right then and there. The feel of his little hand in mine was just perfect. Don't ask me why. I guess I am an overly emotional freak. But it really got to me all of a sudden. In fact, I was so taken by the sweet happiness I felt in holding that small perfect little hand that I had to snap a picture of his hand in mine...YES, he did look at me as if I were crazy when I snapped this!!

aftercruise350.jpg

But for being a bit blurry and just of "hands" it is one of my very favorite pictures from the entire vacation. It instantly brings back that giddy feeling of holding pure joy and love in my hand...if only for a little while. MUSH BE GONE...back to the trip report!!

When we got to TL dh took "Stitch" and they went on Stitch's Great Escape together. Although I am a big fan of all things Stitch...that ride STINKS...is it really a ride? Or is it just noise, something smashing my shoulders and blinking lights? I tend to vote for the second so I was SOOO up for skipping it when "Goofy" said it was too scary.

While dh and "Stitch" did SGE, the rest of us went and took two tours on Buzz Lightyear. Upon exiting the second time we saw dh and "Goofy" talking with a very tall alien...so we high tailed it over to them and I got this super cute picture of the boys with an alien!!

aftercruise351.jpg

After this we took a quick ride on the TTA and then one more spin on Buzz Lightyear. As we were exiting Buzz we heard the fireworks start. We hurried over to the area before the bridge (but still in TL) and got great seats on a concrete post thing. The fireworks were amazing so close up! Here are some of the pictures we got of them.

aftercruise357.jpg

aftercruise358.jpg

aftercruise359.jpg

aftercruise361.jpg

At the very end of the fireworks we snuck over and rode Space M. before everyone else lost interest in the fireworks! ;) Then we made our way over and staked out a place for the parade. We had told our friends we would be near the Country Bears...however, at the spot we were standing in we didn't have coverage and since we had arrived just minutes before the parade was to begin (and gotten GREAT viewing spots up on a tree planter surround thing) we didn't have time to try and track them down...so we waited for a few minutes until the parade was about to begin.

As we waited I ducked into a store. Nobody else was inside and I saw a bunch of CMs with lanyards. I went over to trade with them. One of them was wearing a green lanyard (if they have on a green lanyard they only trade with kids) so I didn't bug him...but after he talked with me (while I traded with the rest of the CMs standing around) he told me he had a very special pin in his pocket and he would make me a "blind trade". He wouldn't show me what he was trading...but he would take any of my pins for it and he promised me I would like it...so, I traded (I am one of those people who cannot help but jump at the unknown sometimes). It was a really pretty (and big) very limited edition Halloween pin. I was so happy with the trade!! He really made my night!

Those quick trades made, I quickly made my way back to my family and just in time...the parade was about to begin!!!

Enjoying your MNSSHP evening. What a bunch of handsome pirates (and a pretty wench)! :)
WHy I do thank you kindly!! We had so much fun and I was loving it being a pirate wench for the night...I guess I am just a big old kid at heart! I have made it my new goal to dress up every Halloween from now on. I had a blast!!

Great pics and more great installments! Just twiddling my thumbs for 18 more days, so I appreciate the entertainment. Can't wait to read the rest . . . popcorn::

The parade begins!! I loved this parade. I think it is my favorite Disney parade ever. And that is saying a LOT.

For the most part, I tried to snap pictures of everything but I couldn't get everything and keep up with the ooohhhhing and aaahhhhing at the same time!!
HERE IT COMES!!! And there it went...the headless horseman rode right past. Too quickly for me to actually get a picture but I sure did try! And then..the parade was coming...We were all just about jumping out of our skin at this point! We were really excited to see this parade! I am glad it lived up to our expectations!
aftercruise362.jpg

Up next...why the gang of course! Mickey, Minnie, Donald and Daisy.

aftercruise364.jpg

aftercruise365.jpg

aftercruise366.jpg

Up next were our friends from the Hundred Acre Woods...including CHRISTOPHER ROBIN! I was so excited by him actually being there that I missed snapping the picture.

aftercruise369.jpg

Soon after Pooh and friends we saw JACK SPARROW and his crew. The pirates were awesome! I loved seeing them!!

aftercruise372.jpg

aftercruise373.jpg

aftercruise374.jpg

aftercruise375.jpg

Jack Sparrow looked just like Johnny Depp! At least I thought so...

Up next was something else really cool....
aftercruise376.jpg

How awesome is that? A real dog walking down the middle of the street at MK!! The stuff from the Haunted Mansion was the BEST!!!

aftercruise377.jpg

The very best of those from the HM were the grave diggers! They danced along with their shovels and stomped and dragged and just were AWESOME!! I loved it when they dragged their shovels along the sidewalk making sparks! And as they walked past at one point they jumped near the edge of the crowds and yelled BOO...it was great!!
aftercruise378.jpg

aftercruise379.jpg

After they passed we had the pleasure of seeing a bunch of cowfolk.

And finally we had a word from our sponsors...lol Goofy's Candy Company.

aftercruise397.jpg

aftercruise398.jpg

aftercruise399.jpg

At the very end Goofy peddled past on his bubble bike...it was too cute to watch our boys reach out and try to pop the bubbles that flew near us!

aftercruise400.jpg

So ended the parade. After the parade we were able to catch up with our friends...turns out they had been about 50 feet down the street and across from us the entire parade...so we joined up and grabbed a quick late night snack and a few drinks and then we headed over and rode BTMRR together. It was so much fun. Mrs. Friend and I took "Aladdin" and "Abu" and their eldest daughter. We had so much fun! In fact we had so much fun and the lines were so short that we went THREE times in a row! While we were doing this dh and the younger boys went to a few candy stations and made out like bandits. They met us back by Splash at about quarter to midnight. We said good bye to our friends and got on Splash as a family for our final ride. It was great. Once again, I love the shining castle glowing in the distance and all of the lights and excited energy you can feel sitting at the top of the last drop.

And this really was our lucky night at about 11:59 PM we pulled in and there were only two people waiting to get on the log...so we were able to stay on for the very last ride of the night!! It was a priceless way to finish off our last moments at the Magic Kingdom this vacation. Once again, sitting at the top of the last drop holding on to "Stitch's" hand in one hand and "Goofy's" hand in the other was for me the culmination of a dream vacation. The lights. The songs. Our favorite MK ride. Even the smells...it all just came together in that one moment! I LOVED the last ride more then I have ever enjoyed another ride at WDW or anywhere else. It must have been something in the air...but I felt (once again) like I was floating.

On our way out our treat bags got even more dumped into them. Boy, they were getting heavy (and we were not complaining about that at all)! As we worked our way to the front of the park, I took a few last snapshots to help me remember the night, the trip, the dream.

And then we came to the last photo of our trip...this one was taken by a CM just before we left MK. We were a very tired yet beyond happy pirate family at this point. Our vacation was coming to an end but we had enjoyed it more then any previous vacation and we still had one last sleep and one more morning of waking to the sun shining on us at WDW to look forward too!!

As we left MK we stopped at the gift shop right outside of the front gate and tried to purchase snacks...YES, we had a ton of candy but we wanted to get some water to drink and something without sugar to snack on so late at night. Also we had snack credits left over and we wanted to use them up. So...we grabbed bags of pretzels, crackers, popcorn and even cookies (yes...sugar...but I wanted them...hee hee hee). Well...as we approached the counter the CM working there looked over at another CM standing near by and he approached and explained that due to being the Year of a Million Dreams we would be getting our snack for free! He even told the kids to pick out a sucker each too! It was a great final bit of pixie dust to top off an already beyond magical night. As we smiled as big as we were able, "Aladdin" looked up at us and said "We are the luckiest family ever"...and you know what???? HE WAS RIGHT!! :wizard: :wizard: :wizard:

To be continued...
