ARGGHHH...The pirate family is still almost doing
MNSSHP and loving it!!
While waiting on our friends (and sending up quick prayers that they make it soon so we could meet up and enjoy our night together) we headed over to do one more Philharmagic adventure...as we walked in the CM near the turnstile asked us how many were in our party. When we told him we had five he told us that we were having a magical dream moment and asked if we wanted to warm up the audience. We said sure. "Aladdin" was given maracas, "Goofy" had cymbals, dh had a tambourine and "Stitch" and I shared some bongo drums...I must say...we sounded oh so good

! It was a ton of fun and we loved being announced to all of the guests! No...our second dream in YoMD was not a big one either...but it was pure fun and a special moment we will not soon forget! THANKS DISNEY!!!
After our last Philharmagic adventure we went on to do a "must do" at any Halloween event...the Disney version of a haunted house...the Haunted Mansion. The CM's here were done up to the hilt! They looked great!!!!
"Goofy" and dh went to ride one last time on Snow White while "Aladdin" and "Stitch" and I went to the Haunted Mansion. It was a great time. A little scary but in an oh so good way!
After getting off of the ride we wandered over and took a few shots with the haunted mansions ghosts...
And then "Stitch" saw "it" through a doorway...JACK SKELLINGTON...he loves him...so we had to go in and check out what he could find. As "Stitch" was looking in wide eyed wonder at all of the Jack dolls around "Aladdin" came over with one he thought "Stitch" would love.
And he was right..."Stitch" loved it and STILL carries that thing almost everywhere he goes!!
Jack Skellington safely in tow we met back up with the rest of our family. Dh told me he had gotten another call from our dear friends...they were at the Grand Floridian...HUH??? Well, the monorail was "down" so they were herded off at the GF and they were now in line for a boat over to MK. UGH...they said the line was long and they were nowhere near the front of it! I felt so badly for them...but we continued on with our fun with our phone on so they could call as soon as they got there.
As we cut through to take a ride with some other pirates, "Aladdin" took some photos of these beautiful birds...anybody know what kind they are?? I know, I know, I have a million bird books and could go and look...but why look at a book when I can write a trip report and get the same info??
A quick photo of the bird photographer himself...
As we walked over we noticed something...IT WAS NOW 7:00 PM and all day guests were being asked to leave the park! WOO HOO!!! MNSSHP HAD OFFICIALLY BEGUN!!!
The first indication we saw was MANY CM's checking wristbands as people milled around. Just a few minutes after 7:00 we almost walked right on to the Pirates of the Caribbean ride. Our wait was less then 5 minutes. Along the way I (of course) had to snap some more photos of my very own pirate crew.
We saw a big group of college aged guys dressed as pirates get into the boat right before us...they were singing loudly as they departed and everyone waiting to board started clapping for them. It was a very funny moment.
Fast forward to us getting on the next boat...my little pirates start singing at the tops of their lungs too...and bless those standing in line...they clapped for my little pirates too! What fun! How awesome it was that everyone was in such high spirits and being so kind to each other!!
After getting out of pirate infested waters we got a call from our friends...they had just arrived. But since they had meant to get to MK much earlier had still not eaten. We told them to call us after they ate and we went off again in such of more pirate fun!!
As we walked away from pirates we saw a giant Timon and Pumba blow up. It was just for decoration...but "Aladdin" insisted on a picture of it.
After he snapped that picture he took this one of his dad and brothers walking towards our first candy station of the night.
But the road to the candy was fraught with danger!! SNAKES!!!
As we stopped to look at his snakes he said "You better stand still...look down but don't move!!!!!!!!!"
Thankfully "Stitch" had his snake defeating
Crocs on and we were safe from the rubber snakes which were closing in around us on the ground. That was a really cute touch...it never would have been missed...but that CM fooling around with the rubber snakes and throwing them in the middle of the walkway just added a lot of fun and laughter and "scariness" to an already fun night!!
Snake pit run in averted we made our way into our first character photo op/ candy line. It wasn't bad. We waited about five minutes to see each character. First up was Baloo. I was remiss. I didn't think to jump in the picture myself (and drag dh in with me). GRRRR
Next up we saw Rifiki!
He is dh's favorite character so I assumed that I would be able to talk dh into the pictures.
And at least for one of them...I was right!!
TO BE CONTINUED...
