a reservation to enter MK before the park opened
The CM announcing that anyone with a reservation up till 9:15 could enter prior to 9:00, which was park opening.
I know this is asked often so I thought I'd post what they said

I think it depends on CMs working. When I was there in March, I got to witness someone with a 9AM arguing with the CM with the iPad about going back. (CM said no.)

That really makes no sense. Obviously someone who had an ADR at 9:00 can't, or shouldn't, wait in the hub till 9:00. They would already be late to check in when released at 9:00 with everyone else. What's the guest to do if the manager at the restaurant also decides to be a butt and charge for being even a minute late? Very unfair and an impossible situation no?

That CM was clearly on a power trip and in the wrong. At least for a 9:00.

The CM that was announcing this wasn't the one letting them in either. He was the one standing in the hub directing traffic. Someone else would have been checking for ADR

I’m confused by this. On a 9:00 opening everyone usually gets in the park an hour early now that the opening show is in front of the castle.

Castle show is usually over by 8:55, and I don't know that holding people to the hub until at least 8:45 for 9 and 9:15 ADRs is nonsensical. You let someone with a 9:15 back at 8, they're wandering around for an hour if they cannot reasonably be seated until 9:15 - which may very well be the case at CRT, especially, and BOG doesn't always open all 3 rooms until after 9.

It wasn't on Wednesday. The show was over at 9:00 on the dot, I just checked the time stamp on my photos. They did not drop the ropes till after that. Anyone with an ADR at 9:00 for CRT or BOG should not have still been in the hub. CP sure.

Still folks. I'm not wanting to argue. I'm wanting to simply pass on what the CM in the hub was shouting to everyone

That if you had a dining reservation between then and 9:15 you should move on to your reservation, not wait. People are free to do whatever they want with that information. Be late, be early, be whatever you want. I'm just trying to help. I don't even make pre park opening reservations so I personally don't care

FWIW-in March my DD was running late to our ADR at 50's Prime time-and you know they won't let you check in until all parties are present-the CM said they don't run the No shows until end of night anyway...

Maybe it depends on when the opening show starts. They should know if the show will be over in time for folks to get to 9am ADR’s.

No way should they prevent anyone with a 9:00 adr from going back. I just checked my confirmations & it says right there to arrive at the restaurant 5 minutes ahead to check in. Since it also takes several minutes to walk to BOG from the hub, they need to let you thru at least by 8:50. Hopefully the incident auroraborealis saw was not the norm.
