9/10/2012 ~ 6 WONDERful nights ~ VC to L.A.

Thank you! There were some great things I found...
I saw they will be showing movies! My daughter would just die if they were showing BRAVE when got on...
Thanks again they have tons of stuff.. I hope they will be doing it even if it is a discount cruise

I think you can pretty much be assured that Brave will still be playing on the ship during our cruise. Usually the most recent animated feature will play until the next one is released.

As for the stuff to do...I have paid full price for exactly ONE of my seven cruises on DCL. They do not "skimp" based on the fares charged. All of the stuff you see, or some variation of it, will occur on our sailing. You will have a blast!

The other nice thing DCL does with movies is premier them on the ship at midnight when they come out in the theaters. We were fortunate enough to see Beauty and the Beast in 3D. I am hoping we get Nemo in 3D. My kids wouldnt' wear the glasses but I enjoyed it :)

This is great! My daughter would love this..
Will they only do one show at midnight?
Or will they run it the next day as well

Midnight is a little late for my 6 year old to stay up

They show first show at midnight, then usually have several showings during days after. It will all be in the navigators. Remember the theatre is COLD! Especially feels cold later in night. Most of us who know take a blanket from stateroom and snuggle down to watch. Some go in their PJs as well as take a blanket. It's the accepted thing! Adds to the experience :cloud9::lovestrucpopcorn:::goodvibes

I just spoke with a representative from Shoreside Guest Services at Disney Cruise Lines. He informed me that they actually DO NOT know as of yet weather or not the B2B will be possible with the Sept. 3 and Sept 10 itinerary. In fact it sounds like they are still working out the details of the May cruise schedule from LA to Vancouver and then Vancouver to Seattle for those wishing to do the B2B on that one.

So bottom line...the 9/3 and 9/10 B2B is STILL questionable and is NOT YET approved thru DCL and Customs.

I asked him to please flag my email and let me know as soon as they have a solid answer as to if this B2B is possible.

I love the idea of taking a blanket to the theatre! I also hope that Brave will still be playing. Glad to hear they generally run the most recent cartoon until the next one comes out.

It's a waiting game then. I really want to do both cruises, so will hang on in there until last moment. It's Disney's error, so they will have to work on it. We have transatlantic airfare booked return to LAX but haven't booked the one way from LAX to Seattle yet, so will wait and see

Lyn - You are right about the theater being cold! I froze the night they opened Beauty and the Beast in 3D and actually left early because I was too cold to enjoy it. I wore my pajamas but never thought to bring a blanket. Great advice!!! Thanks. That's why the disboards are so great. Advice and FE

Weird.

I just went onto the DCL website to look at our cruise, and see it appears to no longer be available for reserving a cabin.

Does this mean the cruise is sold out?

UPDATE: Well, because this was freaking me out a little, I called DCL. I just couldn't imagine that this cruise was so high-demand that it was sold out. She didn't have an explanation for why it wasn't online, but confirmed that the cruise is still available.

I found it, all Cat 10s, 11B & C, all Cat 9s, 7A, all 5s, 4A & B, T, S, & R all showing available. And while I love my room, I would not be adverse to an upgrade via some pixie dust!

Yeah, I called DCL. It was back shortly after that.

I think they may have just had it pulled for a brief time to update availability.

I'm just way too high strung.

We just got a note from our TA that one leg of our flights were changed. No impact to our overall travel plan, but it gave me a little scare until I looked it up. I have been telling all sorts of people about this cruise hoping to have a few join us.

We are hearing rumors that they are planning to close Alcatraz to visitors soon. Don't know when, but we plan on visiting while we are there. DD 22 Attends grad school in Davis. We are thinking of making arrangements to meet up with her one of the days we are there to.

I hope they don't close it before we get a chance to see it..
I really want to see it.. Please keep us updated!

I'm more worried when there isn't availability. Can't forget the last Med cruise that suddenly got pulled and cancelled. Apparently for a private charter. More bookings the better! Am getting more excited now...we have a week cruise on NCL Scandanavia/Baltic first week June then that is taking a little of our attention, then we will be in full planning mode for this....:)

Hello all,

My DH and I are going to be booking this cruise later this month. We will be in a 7A. I have sent a request to be added to the FB page. This is our "getting to gold" cruise. We are one away from gold and would like to be there before our B2B Christmas cruises in Dec 2013, so we are hopping on this one. This will be the first Disney cruise that we have take by ourselves. I look forward to getting to know you all in the next couple of months.
