9/1/07 Eastern on the Magic... Anyone else?

we decided to cancel ground transportation with disney and book our own saving $150, which just means more shopping for me. I think we are going to stay at the raddison as well.

I posted on the other September 1, 2007 board too, but may I just repeat;

DW and I will be sailing with DS, who will have just turned 3. This will be our 4th cruise overall (3rd on DCL) but our first 7 day on Disney. We re-booked onboard last year and have been excited ever since.

Do you think there's any reason to be concerned about the fact that this will be the first "regular" caribbean cruise following the Med?

(You know, New Cast Members, the Ship being out of the caribbean "groove", and "Virus and Bed Bugs and cooties, Oh My!)

Ooooooh - I really hope not! I am hoping that since the Magic is returning 'home' all the CM's will be super-excited to be back to the islands, enjoying Castaway Cay again, etc.

I like that - Virus and bed bugs and cooties - oh my! hee heeeeeeee I guess a big bottle of Purell is going in my suitcase!

So - we're getting closer and closer to the 100 day mark! I have three kids (6 1/2 year old twins and a 5 year old) so we have to do some sort of countdown.

Want to share what you're doing? Things you've heard about? I am thinking of taking my 'counting to 100' poster-chart and covering each day with a Mickey head as we count down. But, I'd have to cut out 100 mickey heads!! I do have a castle punch I could use but its sort of small.

I definitely have to do something. We're all ridiculously excited!

I like that idea...I was telling my wife this mornning after reading your post. We are both deciding what we can do, and then let our daughter do the tearing or putting up the numbers for the countdown.

I just had a brain-storm: I can get the mickey heads in different colors from Home Depot's paint department and tack those up. My kids will love to choose different colors to use and I can just keep them in a jar in the cabinet. Yes - sometimes my brain does actually work!!! :rotfl:

hello,I'm Valarie we will be cruising on this cruise alsowith my dh ds/18 and dd/10 plus my mom and dad. this will be our 6th disneycruise.We are so excited.have you started planning shopping etc?

101 Days Until We Leave for Disney!! 104 until we board the ship!

My kids are starting the countdown chart tomorrow morning - but they don't know it yet! YAY!!!!!!!!!!

Guess I should start shopping. My daughter (almost 7 on the cruise) has already told me she is wearing something fancy every night at dinner and is then 'going to play with my friends all night'. Too cute and funny! :goodvibes

We made up a calander with Mickey and Mini fr our daughter to count the days down. We need to get moving on our passports. They are saying 10-12 weeks. Not much room for error with that time frame!

Just 100 days for me!

That about says it all. So its 103 until we all cruise! I have my Mickey chart up and the kids will be able to cover up another number every day until we leave (on August 29th, in 100 days!) My last day of triple digits. Ahhhhh. :cloud9:

OK, Cris!!! You just couldn't hold back smearing in our faces those extra 3 days!!!! :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Can't wait to get on board & grab a nice, tall, frozen (fill in the blank) and sail away!!!!:drinking1

Anyone decided what they're doing at the Ports yet?

Glad to see we've got some more people jumping on board with us!!

98 days left untill we board the plane...99 days till we set sail!!!!!:cool1:

Well we were one of those early families going on this cruise but my grandmother passed away and it has caused us to change plans to a December cruise - hope everyone has fun on this one - first one back after the med cruises!

I think we will mostly hang on the beach and walk around port for some shopping and sight seeing at our own pace. We are traveling with 3 year old DD so that will slow our pace to her short little legs, which actually is a great thing about pre-schoolers. Must stop and smell the roses, and every other flower/weed along the path :love:

We might try some more adventures on CC

Noelle

Today my kids came up with their own 'chores' to earn Disney Dollars to use on the cruise. They don't realize they can't actually use them (they're only 6, 6 and 5!) Here's what I heard them discussing:

* Wash the cars
* Take their trash out of the van everyday
* Tell me I'm pretty!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
* Write a note to the Tooth Fairy asking her to leave $2 instead of $1!!!!
My twins are starting to lose teeth, the little one hasn't yet!

Yes - my little con-artists were serious! They didn't realize I could hear them outside on the deck, which is off my kitchen and all the windows were open! They're crazy. Once school gets out (June 20th here) then I'll come up with a real list of help outside of their normal chores.

93 days and counting until we board JetBlue at Newark Airport!! :love:
