9-08-2010 Pirates through the Mediterranean/ Yo Ho! Yo Ho! A Pirates Life for Us

Is our ship full????
As for the Kids Club - I know my daughter will do great in there, but I booked Flounders for the full days that we are leaving the ship just in case they have any issues with the potty. I think I am just going to talk with the manager when we get there and tell her she does great, but I will let them evaluate her.

I am just sending a change of clothes and his Epi-Pen in a big ziploc with his name on it. I don't think there will be any issues, but better safe than sorry. You know how little ones like to hold it until the last minute!

You guys rock. I didn't know these boards existed...so much of the lingo is beyond me...but I love hearing all your input. Do any of you know if the staterooms have 110 or 220 outlets? Maybe how many? I'm thinkin w/2 of us and our gadgets.....

And, the outlets on the ship are standard for American outlets? They're not European and we need a converter, right?

Thanks!

They are standard outlets on the ship (American standard 110). The only have like 2 or 4 on the desk, so a lot of people will bring a power strip to charge multiple items, if you've got big plug ends, you definitely have to take turns!

Everyone on the FE list group,

We've had a couple of late bookers in the group that have kiddos, I'd like to post their information on the FE list just so that if there are any extras (why won't these folks sell anything in less that packs of 12!!!???) we can make sure there are "magical" journeys for the little ones. It's completely voluntary, you don't have to contribute at all, I just don't want the little ones to miss out!

Jennifer

(Gotta say a huge Thank You to Connie for her wonderful solution to my dilemma! :flower3:)

Thx for the info about the outlets...hugely helpful! I'll find space for that strip! Do you know how early we can board the ship? (also, when it comes up "reply to thread" and asks for "title", what should be typed there? I told you I was new to this!!

You HAVE to be on board by 4:00, you can get to the port early and I think you can board as early as 11:30 or so, but won't get into the rooms until 1:30, and might not get your luggage until 3:00 or even later.

You don't need to type anything in the title unless you want to. I usually just leave it blank, whatever you do type shows up on your post in bold up above your post, I'm lazy so I leave it blank :lmao:

Oh, and welcome aboard!!! It's going to be a great cruise!
:dance3:

Yes, the Disney ships usually sail out of Port Canaveral, Florida. They are "american".

I definitely will try to include all the kids- it's no fun to be left out!

Thanks for the feedback on outlets.

YAY! Just booked my husband his massage- 15 minutes after mine the last day onboard. Phew! Thought maybe I had waited too long.

EEK! So exciting!

If you have more recent gadgets... look at the info on the power adapter.
I know that on my computer and camera battery chargers they will work on dual voltage. Just have a plug adapter. Just make sure they are dual voltage before you plug them in... or it will not be pretty.
Hope this helps.

There doesn't seem to be much posting going on, and as I'm late to the party, is there anyone still trying to fill any land tour vans? I know...call me crazy! And you all thought you were late getting here! Here's hoping our flights do better than I did getting to this site!! If anyone out there still has 2 spots vacant, we could well be interested in joining you!

You REALLY need a power strip, because the outlets by the vanity are not even the right size to accept phone or computer adapters. Plus, we always need to charge MP3 players, computers, cameras, etc, all at the same time!

Me0302- we are still trying to get a group together for a second van in Villefranche. If you are interested in that, let me know as soon as possible. I have contacted the tour company and they are waiting on my reply.

Hi Jennifer...I was just looking at the FE list but did not notice any new kids. I agree that they shouldn't be left out, so if you could let me know their names, ages, etc. that would be great.
I have been gone from here for awhile....my work made all of the part time people go full time, but I am finally caught up. It looks like our families will both be on the same tour in Tunis. Also, did everyone decide on a time/place to meet on the ship? It's almost 2 am here in CA, so I may have missed that info. Can't wait to meet everyone!!!
Michelle

Awesome. Can you tell me what the tour is doing there? I'm really interested in something for Rome, naples and possibly Malta, but may be too late to connect with a group.

So was the FE list increased? I havent been on in awhile as I have been busy, but printed out and sent my wife a list, if it has changed since the list was closed, please let me know ASAP so she can go back to the store.

I've been slammed busy too (of course I'm thrilled to have a job right now, not tempting fate or anything, nope, not me!) so haven't gotten them posted yet. I know Calm Seas has a grandaughter and there's at least one other group so I'll look back over the thread (after my SQL Server Users Group meeting tonight) and get them posted up tonight.

I know we've talked about meeting up on the first sea day at 4:30, how about Diversions? The kids can come in at that time so it sounds like a good place? (We've got Champagne Girls at 1:00 for those of us doing that...)
