OK! that's great. I was just going to "SHOUT OUT" for any others who would like to join us for a relaxed "slow travel" tour of Rome. Choices can be made, but I plan to see:

• Vatican City Sistine Chapel, St. Peter's Basilica and Square.
• The Coliseum, the Forum, the Pantheon.
• Throw a coin into Trevi Fountain.

of course, lunch and gelatto in the middle of the day!

For whoever is doing the FE's for this cruise... I know you have another thread going for the exchange... It might be better to discuss it on here rather than over there so you get everyone who might be joining you on the cruise...

Also... please do a shout out to all of the other people doing both the Med & the Transatlantic... I know there are about 14 or so on there... you might get some extra people who would be interested in the FE exchange from that group!!!

I did at one point, but the response I got was that the WBTA was so long that it'd be tough to get everything for another group in suitcases (I totally agree with that! It's going to be hard enough to fit everything in my suitcase, do you think DCL would mind if my kids just went naked? The DS-7 has an adorable little tan line ).

If you're interested, everyone is totally welcome of course!

For the PC repo... I had to have 120 gifts to distribute. This will be nothing compared to that...

I've already called the first night, I'm making a great gift that I'm really excited about which will be PERFECT for the first night, right now we're thinking everyone do 2 nights, we may change that if we get 10, but we're at 6 right now, 5 confirmed and info in, so we'll have to see who else shows up!

If you only want to do Pompeii, I would suggest the train as it dumps you off right in front of it. You might have to take a taxi to the train station as it is a bit of a jaunt (especially if you have a wheelchair). You could take the train for very cheap - and from what I have read there are guides looking to fill groups of 10 outside of Pompeii - so you could perhaps join one of those groups or Rick Steves has an audio tour you can download. Not sure what the lunch options are though around there.

Oh, anything would do for us for lunch.....pizza, pasta, McDonalds......

yes, I thought that about the 2 separate threads for this cruise. Oh, well, I did add my name to the FE list.....not sure if I am getting on one for the WBTA or not.....seems pretty daunting on that thread! So busy!

Since Vegas started this thread, and I begged and pleaded until someone cave and started a FE with me I figured it'd be easier to start a different thread rather than bug Vegas to constantly update the first post on this one. You're right though, those WBTA folks are setting the bar pretty high!

I want to do the FE exchange, but I'll just have a gift for each cabin for only one night. On the Baltic, I had 65 gifts to deliver!

The good thing is over there... they are only doing groups of 15 people... so you don't have to bring for 100 people...
