8x8 Scrapbooks.. Anyone have a photo of one they have done?

Found another whole tote full of assorted scrapbooks downstairs that I have picked up here and there - garage sales; clearance sales; Big Lots; etc. - and one of them is an 8x8.. (Lots of other rather unusual sizes too - that I'm going to have to figure out what size page protectors I need to buy - and exactly how I should measure for them..)

But anyhow - I have someone in mind for this 8x8, but I've never done one before and I'm wondering about layouts.. Do you use 4x6 photos - one per page - cut them down smaller - or what?

Anyone have a few photos of pages they have completed that they could post here?

I'll be scrapbooking for the rest of the winter - till mid April or so when I move back up to the lake - so I'll likely be popping in here quite frequently with questions..

Also - is there a particular scrapbooking message board that you really find helpful? If so, I would appreciate a link if you don't mind sharing..

I usually use 8x8 for gift albums. I did one for my niece for her son's first year. Bascially I did all frames for 5x7 and a few smaller ones If you would like I can post some of the layouts I did a wedding one too.

I usen mine for CJs and gift books, but I also did an "Advent" album -a page for each day up to Christmas - in 2009. It was a great way to record some of the stuff around Christmas - including old memories from my childhood - which don't realy fit so well with the other books.
