8am Crystal Palace ADR: How tough is it?

I got 8:10 table for 6 about 85 days out.

I just got an 8:20 for a party of 5 on our 5th day with nps!

We've always been able to get around that time without having to call 180 days out. (We hardly ever have a vacation planned 180 days out!)

Now that it's 90 days, however, it may be different. We'll see! We're doing CP in August and our 90 day window opens in May.

I didn't have a problem getting an 8:05am ADR for CP in May....5th day (a Friday) of our trip. Good luck getting yours. Maybe it depends on time of year. If you don't get your first choice...try others.

I was able to get a 8:10am reservation on our first day of vacation in less than 30 days. I just called today for the res.

The hard part is going to be waking up that early as we won't even check in to our resort until after 10pm...

Well I just got one last week for 8:10....it's for the first week of May. I was surprised!

We went in late January and booked an 8:05 ressie a week before we arrived.

As for getting out on time. Maybe you will, maybe you won't. I drove my dh nuts last year with my obsession to get to Fantasy land by 9.00am. Piglet finally wandered over at 8.55am and the kids were entralled by him so I had to let go of my control freakery and accept that I wouldn't make it. Ended up queuing for 25 mins for Dumbo and my whole plan fell apart.

Still had a great day though. Hey we were in the Magic Kingdom that's always a good place to be

Even with an 8:20 if you're there at 8:05 you'll be seated in a few minutes. We've done this several times when we couldn't get 8:05.

I think I'll ask to pay the cost of the meal and tip up front too. That should save us some time at the end...

You can't pay up front. They use the payment as a way to know that table will be clear soon. My dad has tried this every time...just so he doesn't have to wait for it.

Really? I read in a trip report recently that someone had managed to do this. I was all over it as soon as I saw it. Drat.

I just called this morning to make a reservation for CP on May 27 (55 days out) and couldn't get one. They are completely booked! I'm so sad! We go to CP during every trip. I'm going to keep trying, though!

Anyone try to get an 8am ADR at CP?

I'd like to try to get it on the 7th day of our vacation, but I am concerned that I am going to be trumped by those who are going on their 8th, 9th or 10th day and who will be able to call 1 to 3 days earlier than I.

I don't think you'll have a problem. I got an 8:15 for our second day at 90 days. When you call to book, don't go in order of your days. Book the restaurants you think might fill up first.

For those of you who have had 8:05 ADR's are you finished in time for the 9am park opening?

Our ADR has always been 8:05. We arrive early to the park and wait outside the gates in a line, we usually don't get seated at 8:05. We were out probably shortly after 9... the park was ginhg through it;s morning opening activities. The trolley was in front of castle with the babershop quartet on the back. The street "painters' were out etc.
But we did not make it back to the gate for rope drop.

Hope this helps. Our CP ressie was our 2nd day at MK, so we headed over to Towntoon, we just saw Mad Hatter and Alice get off the teacups, got their autograph and were in toontown early enough to line up for the fairies

We got an 8:15 on May 19th, I think I may try to get there earlier to try to get seated earlier...the pictures on Main St with no one in the picture but the family and the castle seem WONDERFUL!!! I can't wait for that shot!!
