My vote is skip the TS altogether! Yes, I'm a broken record on this subject these days. I'm all about the CS - keep finding really good food and I'm so over taking the time for TS ressies that take forever to seat and reconcile payment.
You tell that to Waldo. :lmao: If it's one thing Waldo hates, it's CS - he loves TS. I'm all for CS - I'm really wanting to get the magical tuna at CHH!
LTT has an awesome lunch if you want to do a TS and it's not a character meal. :thumbsup2
I also agree with DM and possibly doing a TS at one of the monorail resorts. No 'Ohana? It's really good. :)

I'm thinking LTT - the menu looks tasty and no dancing rats @ lunch! :woohoo:

So DM, you've given me 2 possibilities... CG and Citricos. I'll have to peruse the menus. BUT have you eaten at the Plaza? :confused3
Aren't both of those 2 credits? And no I haven't been to the Plaza. Not appealing ...

Sorry T can't help, but thought I'd reply anyway :rotfl:
Just upping that post count ... ;)

Ok, but where? :confused3 Perhaps LTT for lunch? I'm not into the Thanksgiving style dinner, KWIM?
I'm thinking LTT - the menu looks tasty and no dancing rats @ lunch! :woohoo:
We really really liked LTT for lunch. I especially liked the Tri-Corner Sandwich which is basically a roast beef sandwich. My parents and in-laws loved it too! :thumbsup2

Ok fockers, opinions needed......

So Waldo's really not feelin' the Liberty Tree Tavern place for dinner - I'm kinda not either. I think we have too many character meals, which was fine when it was just the 4 of us, but now between Donalds Safari Breakfast, Akershaus and 1900 Pare Fare, I think I'll be too charactered out to enjoy LTT.

Soooooo....

I've tried to think of somewhere else to eat on our P&PP evening. We'll be entering MK around 3pm to get Maddie into BBB and then we'll be needing to eat an early dinner. Of the TS places, LTT and CP are character meals and Tony's is yucko, so what about The Plaza? Seems like a nice lite meal, KWIM? BUT is it any good? Will Waldo like it? The menu seems decent enough. Is the tuna sammie there anything like the magical tuna at CHH? What to do, what to do....

Can't think of anything right now, but if I think of something will let you know....although I am disappointed you won't be at LTT with us:sad1:

I like this suggestion. We actually have a couple of days without any TS ADR's

Oh no. This is what I get for not having read the Man Report huh. What's the IP-Dip meet? Is this Buzz's doing? popcorn::

Of course it is, do you even have to ask:rotfl2:

How about getting like a 7 day base ticket non-expiring, that way you can go to the big meet.

I thought about that as well, but I think it will add $300 to the price. I'm still trying to make it all work, but it is doubtful. Now if Weinerfest was moved outside a park......but I think that would be too disruptive to everyone's plans.

On another note, I just booked an AKV GV for 11/30-12/3.

I really hate......where are my Southern manners? I strongly detest the fact that I was too busy trying to maximize the DDP that we skipped lunch at LTT in favor of a better cost to credit ratio. Now the butter griddled pound cake is gone from the menu and I will never get to try it. :sad2: So, Tracy, have lunch at LTT for me sans that muchly coveted dessert.

We've been discussing our long range travel plans and it looks something like this:

May '08: 5-10 nights, probably our last hoo-ra of our PAP's.

Dec '08: 5 nights big family trip.

Feb or May '09: 7 nights in So. CA.

Based on the above, we will need a 5 day base ticket approx $1000 for Dec. To renew our PAP's will be $2200.

All of the above is subject to change depending on our school assignment for next year. A is going to middle school next year and our base school is on the traditional calendar. We will apply for year round, but there is no guarantee. I will also apply to the AG magnet school which is the traditional calendar as well. H&N still have 3 more years of Elem, but will be on the year round calendar. It's enough to make a person  .

Wow - is that renewal price with the DVC discount? YIKES!! We don't get the PAP's...just AP though, although I'll be bumping it up I'm sure for August rather than pay 1 day. I hope it all works out for ya S'late.

HUGELY jealous over the AKV GV...that should be amazing!!

I edited my name out of the first page.

Hey! That's cheating!!!

Moderator perk.

Yeah, well it's still cheating!:headache:

We rescheduled for Nov. 7-15 or 16. I had to pay more for our rooms at AKL and POR, since it is no longer Value Season, but Regular Season, but I still got 40% off.

We'll be there 1st - 8th (of course, give or take a day or two...you know how I am...:rolleyes1 )

WHAT? You got the code? How did I miss that? That's it...I'm taking 2009 off...the Mouse will be sorry...he'll send me a code...you'll see:headache:

(Sort of Almost still) cheating....:rolleyes1

Ok, first off, don't recall having eaten at the Plaza...LTT is great for lunch. I can't recall what I ate last time we did lunch there (August), but I remember it was YUMMY. And...I don't eat turkey so the whole Thanksgiving dinner (although I'm sure I could get something else) repulses me...

The MK is a hard one eh? Any chance you're willing to leave the MK just for dinner and maybe go to one of the monorail places? Or, what about doing a lunch somewhere else TS and just having counter service for dinner!

Ok - I thought about that. Let's break it down... shall we? :lmao:
The Poly - Kona (eating there on 8/24) O'Hana - doesn't appeal to me

CR - CM - Character meal, need I say more? :lmao: Concourse - closed by August. CG - A possibility.

GF - 1900 - eating there on 8/29. Citricos - a possibility Narcoossee's - not with kids. :teeth: V&A - :lmao:

So DM, you've given me 2 possibilities... CG and Citricos. I'll have to peruse the menus. BUT have you eaten at the Plaza? :confused3

Ok, DUCK...throwing my 2 cents in....:duck:

Haven't eaten at Citricos, though I'd love to try it. Narcoosee's...definitely. Why not with kids?? They were awesome with Michael (and as you know he and I are going back) and he LOVED the food. Plus if you time it right, there's fireworks...Just sayin' :rolleyes1

AND...what about Whispering Canyon Cafe?? That place is just plain old FUN! Food's pretty good...not bad by any means and it's fun for kids and grown ups I think. Quick boat ride from the MK and you're there...

Of course, if you're looking for something a bit fancier, there's AP...you could pop in and visit Janet's mom...:confused3 Am I right Janet - doesn't your mom work there?

I love WCC and the WL in general and Maddie and Evan would have a blast there...

Ok. I'm done.

As you were...

Yikes it is! The renewal is like $2678 and the DVC discount is $472. :scared1:

You know, those GV's would make a great location for a DISer gathering. And according to the picture of the BWV GV in that big 'ol purple DVC book, they do want folks to have parties in the GV's. ;)

Bottom line - Evan is a pest at dinner, and if I'm spending that much on a meal, I'm leaving his booty at home or at the hotel, KWIM? Momma needs a hot meal!! :lmao:

Ok, so WCC...honestly it's never really appealed to me. I don't know, I just have no desire for the whole Hill Billy experience. No offense to Hilly Billies, of course. :lmao: Just the whootin' and hollerin' - OMG, I could just see Waldo cringe at the sight! :rotfl2: But I do agree that Maddie and Evan would like it, heck Andy probably would too.

::yes:: But not on Tuesday's - It's Bingo Night:upsidedow :lmao:

Yikes it is! The renewal is like $2678 and the DVC discount is $472. :scared1:

Yikes is right:scared1: Does the PAP pretty much include everything. What's included in the PAP?

:faint: OMG...I need to sit down...I forgot also - there's more of you guys than us. Ok, Tony...if you're ever reading this...yet another reason NOT to have another child...we couldn't afford the AP's!!!:rotfl:

:scratchin Hmmmmmmm.....

I was hoping to get a GV for November when I bring my mom, grandmother and aunt down but it's like 3 times the points I have for a year...couldn't even BORROW enough to cover it. Luckily the 2BR's have those 2 queens in that 2nd BR...

Of course, I'll have to do some more FDM...maybe 2 1BR's and a studio...

ITA!!

Hmmmm....a date night perhaps...especially now since Waldo and TE are coming...;)

I know...I thought it was weird too, but it turned out to be a lot of fun...

Till they embarrassed me on my birthday...

Well there ya have it, T...no AP on Bingo night!:lmao:

I thought that the PAP included WP admission etc., but man, seeing S'late's price, I'd hope it includes a hot oil massage by an even hotter cabana boy!!:rolleyes1

Who knew the DIS would become an effective form of birth control?

We banked most of 07 and borrowed most of 09 points. I really wish we had purchased more points.

Have you looked at the OKW GV's? They are 38 points a night in November.

Hmmm....Perhaps I should write Disney a letter?!?

One would hope!:goodvibes

Ooh! I love the bingo!

When we stay at their place I go with her sometimes. Those old ladies are BRUTAL:lmao:

It includes unlimited admission to both water parks, Disney Quest, and Pleasure Island.

THat is still at on of cabbage:eek:

Who knew the DIS would become an effective form of birth control?

:rotfl2:

OK DVC Qurestion for all you DVC Memebers. Say we buy into DVC and purchase a certain number of points? Can say, four years from now buy additional points?

Yep, sounds like us. I'm borrowing into 2009 to do everything this year, but, we figure that we're going to buy Contemporary when it goes on sale, so we'd have those points in (hopefully) '09. Last night DH told me to call our guide to see about an add-on at BWV, while we're waiting for Contemporary DVC... I have to tell you, I almost fell off my chair...

I hear you on the AP renewal prices, too. We have 5 to buy this year.

Those OKW GV's have been in my sights for awhile now. It's just crazy (in a most excellent way) that they are only 38 points a night! :thumbsup2
