I know the Keys to the Kingdom tour is about 4 1/2-5 hrs long, so I figure we will be finished by 130p at the latest. We plan to take the boat to Wilderness Lodge and have the Trail Ride scheduled for 230pm. Is an hour enough time to get there? We thought we would schedule it all together since we would be at the MK that day anyway and the Wilderness lodge is pretty close.

Just an FYI - the trail ride is at the Fort Wilderness Campground, not at the Wilderness Lodge. Depending on where you meet for the ride at the campground, that might work out fine. I'm not sure where you need to go for the trail ride, though. If it is at the other end of the campground from where the boat lets you off, you would need to use the FW internal busses, and that's where you might have problems.

I knew it was Fort Wilderness, I don't know why I keep saying the lodge. Has anyone done the trail rides before and if so, where do you check in at?

From Deb Wills site:

To get to the Tri-Circle D Livery, you can drive to and park in the Fort Wilderness Visitor parking lot and walk; board the bus at the TTC and take it to the Outpost Depot bus stop; take the Fort Wilderness boat from the marina at the Magic Kingdom to the Fort Wilderness marina and then walk to the Settlement Depot bus stop where you'd then board the bus to the Outpost Depot.

Hope this helps!!! :teeth:

Just an FYI, when I took the KTTK tour 2 years ago, it was closer to 5 1/2 hours. The length of the tour really will depend on your guide and the amoung of involvement of your group (the better the guide and the more questions asked, the longer the tour). Personally I think it's cutting it a bit close. Most likely you will be fine, but if it were me I wouldn't want to be looking at my watch for the last hour of the tour worrying about when it would finish.

We scheduled parasailing right after KTTK ended. Towards the end of the tour (it ran a bit long) I started getting very very fidgety since I was worried we wouldn't make it. We made it, but if we did it again I'd schedule it differently. I just couldn't enjoy the very end of the tour. So that's something to keep in mind...

HTH:D

Kind of related: How can you make reservations for the horseback rides?

Thanks,
Julie

Just call 1 407 WDW PLAY to book it. There are set times that they will offer you. The latest time I was offered during December was 230pm.
