'80s Party

We thought about crimping our hair. I still have mine. Odd but I found it in a box like 10 yrs ago and it has just been following me around for years..

This is so embarrassing but here is what it looked like. We set up a picture area for prom pictures.

We had so much fun. Everyone really got into it. We voted for a king and queen. The whole night was hysterical.

Get your hands on a pair of Girbaud or Guess jeans, white Keds and definatley remember to tuck the jeans into your socks. Remember those v-neck sweaters that you could wear backwards so the V was in the back? (I know I bought a few from The Limited - Forenza) Then find yourself an Esprit bag!

As for Aqua Net....they STILL make it!!!! I have a purple can that we use on my daughters hair for dance. It's helps keep the fly aways down when her hair is in a bun!!!!

There were those boots too...not sure what they were called. About ankle high with a fold...they reminded me of Peter Pan! Then like someone else mentioned...the good ole' banana clip

I'm trying to convince my youth group to do an 80's dance fundraiser. They're not sure their friends would go for it...I think it would be TOTALLY rad.

Did anyone else wear "twist-a-beads-" it was all the rage in the 80's where I was....you would take 2-3 strands of these beads, twist together, and hook w/ a clasp......good times!

That is the weirdest thing EVER...I went to high school with them! So freaky that I should look at a post on a DIS message board and see people I went to high school with found on a random internet search. It's freaking me out a little!
At first I thought maybe you were one of them!

I graduated in 83 so I was really a leftover 70's and never got into the 80's. I was in college then. I STILL hate the "hair bands", well some songs I like but for the most part, no.
