Can anyone tell me, we requested the 80's building at POP, because I read that everything is fairly close to everything, we are confirmed for that building, we arrive on Saturday. I just read that the building is really far from everything, is that true? I know when we stayed at ASMV we were in the Mighty Ducks section and really enjoyed it, not far of a walk at all, how does the 80's compare?

We stayed in the 80's building on our last trip to WDW. The 90's building is the last building in the group, so it is a bit further. We did not think it was too bad, however, we really don't mind walking. I would say it takes about 5-7 minutes to walk to the food court/bus stop. We would not have a problem staying there again.

We were in the 80's building a couple of years ago and I was initially disapointed when they told because I was worried that it would be too far from everything, but it really isn't. They key is to cut through the parking lot to get to the bus stop and the main building. If you follow the path it will take a lot longer. It was actually a shorter walk to the bus stop than we have ever had in our stays in the 50's building. The pool was never crowded either.

I agree with the other posters.. I don't find the 80's building is one bit farther than the 50's buildings..

And it is in fact, much closer to the bus stop for example.

We were in the 80's building that is right beside the Roger Rabbit icon. And had it been just DH and me it wouldn't have been bad. But at the end of the day w/ a tired & sassy 3 year old and pushing a stroller. It was a LONG walk. But like someone else said the key is to cut through the parking lot.

We were in Building 9 in the 80's section in May and loved it. It was close to the buses and as bobcat said cut across the parking lot to get there. We swam at the computer pool every day and never found it busy.

Here is a link to another post that has a picture looking towards Classic Hall and the bus stops.
