Hi, I'm joining in! We have 12 days til our trip, and I love reading everyone else's plans. It looks like we'll overlap for a few days. Oh, and Happy Birthday on the 8th-my birthday is on the 7th, and we're also doing CP that day!

Sounds like you're getting there and getting stuff done! I think I'm going to open a suitcase today myself (since it's just over 2 weeks away) and dig some stuff out and get a bit organized, what else do you do on a stormy summer saturday, right?

I really like the bag and you can probably get a pretty good deal on it at EbagsI know, I'm not much help when it comes to Disney Shopping Restraint or DSR.

So, we headed over to Dick's to look for the elusive Body Glide. I looked all around and could not find it! I had to ask a salesperson and he found me one of the only two left

But, while we were there I thought I would check the clearance rack again.

I realized that while Peter has a ton of UA shirts, they are all dark colors. I didn't want him melting so I was looking for a moisture wicking shirt that was white or at least a light color. I found one that was originally $35 and I got it for $16. I also found a pair of Nike long shorts that were $34 and I got them for $13 They are very thin material so they will be very cool to wear but if I sweat like I was today at the park (and I was just sitting on the bench) it is going to look like I pee'd myself

We did receive some sad news this morning that the older family friend passed away today. Thank goodness we went to see him last night! Never put those things off. We actually had seen him the week before on the way to the beach but as I said his daughters leave a lot to be desired so he needed as many visits as we could squeeze in. He was 87 and he was ready but it is still a loss. He seemed to go peacefully so that's good.

I swear I responded to this but I guess I didn't Anyway, I don't do pictures for Gabriel because he absolutely hates school I have to work all kinds of magic to get him in the classroom happy and ready to go It's a bit stressful for us both and a picture is not something on my mind at that point He has been in school since he was 3 because of his disability and trust me.....I took a picture then (he didn't know what he was in for so it was a nice picture) I spent that school year waiting in the lobby for him to finish......see, Mother Hen much? I still take him to school in the morning before work and I am very lucky that my job let me adjust my schedule to do so. He has expressed interest in the bus this year....but I don't know. He can communicate better now so I may let him do it. The school he goes to is not his home school so I don't want him on the bus for an hour in the morning....so many questions.....anyway, I have that meeting when we get back from Disney

How did Gabriel's first day of school go?

Hi! Thank you. Gabriel actually did pretty well. The first words out of his mouth when he woke up were "I don't want to go to school" Anyway, I dropped him off listening to his complaints but they said he did very well for the first day back. He went off a little better today which makes me so much happier. I am still concerned about him being the only 3rd grader and having (9) 5th graders in the classs. I need to ask them how they actually teach the different grades. It may help him immensely because of just picking up a bigger vocabulary....as long as it's not the colorful kind

I wanted to ask you if your son goes by Gabriel or mostly Gabe? I have a couple Disney personalized items that no longer fit Gabriel but they say Gabriel not Gabe. I would be happy to hand them down to you

OMG!!!!!!!!!!!

I just received an email from Saxxon's Diamond Center!!!!! This is where my husband purchased my Wedding ring and where he purchased the necklace he bought me for my 30th birthday - that he gave me on our Honeymoon in Alaska and my Cross ring he gave me for our 1st Anniversary! Those pieces are the only pieces of jewelry that I wear!! I don't have a ton of jewelry and I had told him the only other piece of jewelry I really wanted was a nice diamond earring stud set!!! The email my husband knows is our comcast email.....That is where the email that I got went to...(I have them forwarded to my work email so I don't have to check 3 different ones)....ANYWAY, he doesn't know that when you give them your email they start sending sales stuff and information.!!!!!! I think I am getting something shiny

The only thing that makes me sad is that if he did that then the painting in the MK is out of the question but I have the photo of it so I guess I can live with Shiny instead

I am so glad his first day went OK. I never wanted to go to school either so I can relate to Gabriel. My mom used to have to shove me on the bus.

My DS goes by both Gabe and Gabrirl - probably 50/50 for each. I mostly call him Gabe and DH mostly calls him Gabriel. It is SO NICE of you to offer to hand down some personalized items. I know my Gabriel would LOVE that hat. Are you sure you don't want to keep it as a keepsake though? If not, we would love to have it. You are too sweet!

It's not a problem... I would want a fellow Disney lover to have them. Gabriel grows so fast he barely gets more than one use out of the items. I think I have a dress shirt and vest and a pair of pj's too. If you PM me your address ( I swear I'm not a looney) I can ship them out to you. I can't promise when........but at least before the year end
As for my gift - if it's for my Anniversary then I will get it the first day of the trip...if it's for my B-day then I have to wait until almost the end of my trip

So, my sister is not going to come visit us. Since she can't be our driver....we are going to skip Seaworld and do Disney Parks instead

I guess we will play it by ear but I am thinking a Water Park or DHS and then Ohana's and then MK? Not sure I would love to see Fantasmic so we may try that although I doubt Gabriel will go for it. You never know until you try though

My sister not coming also means I will pack some of Gabriel's staple foods in one of the suitcases......I think I am going to do a collapsable cooler and ice at POP.

I think our suitcases are overpacked already and I am going to have to re-evaluate

Peter is playing at a Cancer benefit this evening and he wants me to bring Gabriel out to see him. I love seeing him but I still have stuff to do so hopefully I can just make an appearance and beat feet I don't want to wait until the night before our flight or God forbid the morning of...to get everything done

Well, I just went to SW and waited for my 24hr mark for boarding passes. At the exact minute I could do it I pressed go and while I did get group A we are 37,40 and 42! I guess everyone else was doing the same thing I am going to have my mom do our check in for our flight home and just print the passes at the airport. I have never done that so I hope it works

I was laying in bed last night thinking of all the packing items. I forgot the Dry Snorkels (Peter insists on bringing them even though Discovery Cove has ones we can use- plus- we were certified for Scuba and bought our gear over 10 years ago and I am wondering if our gear is even going to hold up - I will probably spend the trip with some horrid mark on my face from the rubber snapping from dry rot), hats for Peter and Gabriel and Sunglasses....I am pretty sure we will have the sunglasses on our faces on the way to the airport but as soon as I woke up this morning I grabbed all of those items and threw them in the staging area

I am on the fence about brining my netbook....I won't have internet but I can empty my camera card and also take notes at the end of the day....I will probably bring it.

I bought Gabriel a movie and a new game for his PSP and will give him those on the plane so he doesn't claim my Ipod Touch for Spongebob Episodes! Daddy gets his Ipod(not sure if I will give it to him in the morning or at the airport...probably the airport... and I put an episode of Scrubs on there for him to watch if he wants along with all his favorite music.

I am going to the store tonight for water and mini muffins to pack in a checked bag.....we will see how that goes

I doubt I will get to update before we leave so those of you who will be leaving while we are away....have a safe and wonderful trip. Everyone else, I will be sure to post when we get back!
