Joy - Gabriel named the puppy Sprinkles.

The puppies name was Bandit when we picked him up.

My mom calls him Snuggles or Snuggle Bug and I call him Snoop, Snoopy, Snoop Dawg

We have to pick something or the poor baby will have an identity crisis!

He is more of a handful than my mom remembered puppies being But he is pretty good and he 's her. I told her that what she wanted - something to love her and her to love back and she said - yes I know but I wasn't expecting a stalker! He's got to be with her every second.

11 DAYS

So, we went to the shore again this weekend. Hurricane Bill closed the ocean or O'SHUN as we MDer's call it
Gabriel was not too happy about just walking on the shore. The waves were pretty awesome.

He was happy we were able to ride bikes though....

Daddy took him to the Water Park for the last time this year while I cleaned for the renters coming in. We won't be returning to the shore until mid September after our Disney trip. I love OC in the off season.

Purchases!

Well, the hubby is in a band and he keeps telling me that the practice CD's I burn stop working and that he thinks he should get an IPOD! Well, he isn't very tech savvy but I did order him a refurbished 30GB IPOD Classic and got it for $74 on Buy.com. I had to order something from one of their partners ( I ordered flowers from FTD for my mom to mark the one year anniversary of her almost death!!) and that gave me $25 off the original $99.

I am loading with his set list and some of his favorites. It does pictures and videos too so I will load him up and surprise him with it on the plane as a 10 year anniversary present. He will probably kill me because he made me promise that I wouldn't get him anything. Well when I promised him, I had already gotten it so it really isn't a lie

I ordered Gabriel a new Vital ID and some temporary "I have Autism" tattoos. You write your number right on his body The tattoos I put on him because it's a colorful puzzle piece and I hope if he is acting up then maybe the CM will see that - especially at the Water Parks. Luckily he really has come far with manners and waiting in line - to a point

Me - I ordered a VB wristlet to go with my pink back pack and while I was at it I ordered a leather sling/backpack because I loved it and thought it can be my fall bag

I HAVE TO STOP SHOPPING!

I just need to pick up that darn Body Glide

Love the pics of Gabriel on the beach and on the bike, he's a ham! Too cute!!! Love the beach off season here too...there is nothing better (well, other than Disney, of course!!). You guys got some nice waves from Bill....we didn't end up getting much, even though they predicted we'd get hit pretty good. Oh well, it was nice to be home some and get stuff done around here instead of being distracted by the beach!!

What VB wristlet did you get? I've been toying with getting one, not just for Disney but for those nights out. Yo'ull have to let me know what you think?

I had to go back and read the description about the wristlet….I thought maybe it just had the phone pocket on the front and was just a pouch! It is supposed to hold your ID and has a few slots for credit cards which I wanted. If I am adventurous enough to snap pics of it and post when it gets here I will.

NINE DAYS AND I WILL BE IN DISNEY!

I can actually pull up the weather for our first day on the Weather Channel site! (not that I believe any of the forecasts unless they are the day before and even then I am skeptical)

I told my husband Monday night how crazy close our trip is getting and how anxious I am starting to get and he said “yeah, I know, I have to make sure all the bills are paid”…..BILLS!....BILLS?!

Bills, Schmills – I am talking Disney! I have to make sure I pack EVERYTHING – all he does is load the car and drive to the airport. I have to make sure I print our boarding passes too! PLUS – Gabriel starts school this coming Monday so I have that to contend with PLUS I work a 40 hour job!

I have a plan set and we are just playing wait and see with the weather. So, there is a chance that most of my planning may need to be changed pretty quickly! If that happens, there can be ADR trauma!

I love that man to death but there really is no comparison in anxiety…really.


I am looking at the Photopass CD. I had joined a Share but we were scammed (only out $15). I had never done a share before because I just don’t trust people. Lesson learned, sadly. I should have known better as the person only had like 40 posts but I hate being so skeptical. Oh well. So I am looking at doing the pre-order CD. I will wait until we get back just in case we don’t get that many pics.

I am addicted to Shutterfly and their Photo Books now. I may end up just using them if we don’t get a lot of Photopass pics. I made my niece a Photo Book of her boys from the trip to the beach we had two weeks ago. It turned out so awesome! Then – I had never printed our 2008 trip pics – I know – horrible….but anyway, I made a little 5x7 book for my MIL since she came with us. It turned out pretty good. What’s weird is I have mostly shots without us in them. For instance, a lot of pics of our room, flowers, and animals from AK safari ride…but really only a few of our family.

I think that goes to show how stinky we felt during the trip I guess. Remember, Gabriel was sick and then I was sick and it was hotter and more crowded than the previous May. All that combined made for a not so hot adventure.

I have been popping Vitamin C as of yesterday trying to ward off any trip germies that may try to attack. Gabriel usually gets sick once a year and that is at the beginning of school! Not sure where the May sickos came from.

I think we are set with everything except that darn Body Glide! Oh, and haircuts for Gabriel tonight and me tomorrow!

Now all I have to do is gather it all together and actually pack it!

Aww, that's a shame that families are without their pictures!!!! I can't even imagine and I'm sorry that happened to you!! You have the right attitude about it, though.

LOL!! I saw that new show being advertised!!! And laughed after everyones comments on Todd and how much he looked like Bill!! He's been hearing that for years (since Bill was on Trumps show years ago....) too funny....now, if he only had the same paycheck.......

Just some quick updates:

I received the VB wristlet today and it is just what I wanted. It's VERY pink! I am pretty much a tom girl but for some reason PINK is my choice of color for my stuff this year My visor, my bag, my wallet and a few new shirts.

My sister is on the fence about visiting us our first two days so I had to break down and call Mears. $54.00 for all of us roundtrip to Discovery Cove and back. They have plenty of pick up times and I chose 7:25am. They only had two departure times 3:45 and 5:45. I chose 5:45 but they assured me that I could call around 1:30 if we changed our minds and wanted to do 3:45. I am not sure how we will do at this park. Gabriel does like to swim so I am hoping I can keep him in one park for the whole day

I guess I am going to have to shell out $54 again to hit Seaworld the next day. The park ticket is thrown in with the Discovery Cove package. I wouldn't be too sad if we didn't hit Seaworld at all but since the ticket was included and my hubby loves the thrill rides I thought it may be fun. I was just hoping to have my sister be our taxi cab. (Although, in 2007 she dropped me off in front of the Poly and went to park with my husband, son and nephew in the van.....I waited.............. and waited............... and was seated.................... and waited....finally I called and she somehow got LOST in the parking lot - ended up back out on the main road or something....you should have seen the look on Peter's face when they finally showed up


Gabriel's haircut turned out cute and I am off to Find Your Seat Night at school and then it's my turn for the haircut

So my haircut is okay....I really needed some touch up on my highlights. She kind of sent me off without styling which was fine as I would do the "do" in the morning before work today to see how well she did. Well, we had horrible storms last night I mean the thunder sounded like bombs! At 3:58am one hit so hard and Peter said "that's it, there went the electricity". We had a horrible night sleep and when it was finally time to get up and out the door - we still had no electricity I just put my hair up and started packing a few things out of the frig to take to my mother-in-laws with Gabriel so they wouldn't go bad. Well, don't you know the electricity comes on just as we are about to walk out the door

We took Gabriel to Find Your Seat Night before my haircut. He started school in a special Autism class when he was 3. The next year he was sent to a different school for the next two years and then he was sent to his current school for 1st and 2nd grade. He had the same teacher for first and second grade. He has a new teacher this year and he will have her for third, fourth and fifth grade. She seems very nice and I met one of his 5th grade classmates and his father. The father said she is a great teacher and very good with the kids. I am a bit concerned that he will be the only 3rd grader. There will be two 4th graders and nine 5th graders! There was a boy in his class last year that they have tentatively on the board for being another 3rd grader with him but I went to his b-day party over the summer and the mom told me she sued the county and he will be going to a LAB school. This is actually good because for some reason....Gabriel did not like him. Apparently, one of this boys favorite past times was clapping and Gabriel didn't like it. I asked him in the car about it last night to see if I could get out of him what he didn't like about it and he just said "it makes me crazy" Sometimes he can say the funniest things.


In one week I will be tucked into bed a Pop in order to get an early start to our day

Anyway, I know that I like to be able to put a face to a trip report, I thought I would post some pics that you can actually see.

Since we are celebrating our 10 yr anniversary - here are a couple wedding pics:

I hope we have plenty of new pictures to share of our adventure that is only 6 days away!



I have spent the morning cleaning and and I am little frustrated because I don't feel like I have even made a dent I did start packing and had everything in one large suitcase and decided that maybe two smaller ones would be easier to manage and I am so afraid of having the bag be over weight.

By the way...Gabriel LOVES watching me DIS because he loves the moving Smilies. Anyway, he noticed the picture in my signature of the painting that I just love (I hope that they have a deal on it when we go) and he said "is that me with Pooh?"

I want that painting so bad. It looks just like Gabriel when he was little and I am getting very sad at how fast and how big he has grown.

Well, I better get back to . We also have to go visit an old family friend who is in the hospital. He is an older man and I don't think he has too much longer in this world, sad but he is ready and he doesn't really have family (well he has two daughter's but they could care less - which makes my hubby sad but it freakin' infuriates me! Anyway, Gabriel usually can put a smile on anyone's face, so hopefully we can give him a little bit of sunshine in these dark days of his.

Then we have to take my mom's car back to her (my hubby is putting brakes on for her) and then we have to high tail it back to see the RAVENS (which by the way we were just given opening day tickets for when we come back from Disney)

I am sure I will spend Sunday getting everything ready for the trip and first day of school (Monday). I will have tons of work to do before we go too....so if you don't see me....I am just trying to cram everything in before we leave

Sounds like you're getting there and getting stuff done! I think I'm going to open a suitcase today myself (since it's just over 2 weeks away) and dig some stuff out and get a bit organized, what else do you do on a stormy summer saturday, right?

Btw, my boys love to watch me DIS, too, because of the smilies, they always pick out which one was Me, Daddy, etal...it's fun for the whole family!! LOL!!
