8 simple rules "goodbye episode"

i thought it was very sad. they were all really brave to do that and i think that's what John would have wanted. opinions?

It was a very sad episode. I don't normally even watch the show, but I was almost crying by the end. But I did think it was very tastefully done.

I was on the verge of tears. Usually I can keept from getting so upset because I know TV is fake...but not this time.

I'm a regular watcher of 8 Simple Rules and I do they they handled this well...well, as well as they could. I can only imagine how hard it was for them.

I only got to see the last 10 mins and was on a verge of tears. I missed the rest of it because i had a meeting for school that i had to go to. How did they make the father die in the show?


I think they did a good job with this episode. It must have been very hard for them.

they didn't go into detail but said Paul collapsed in the aisle at the grocery store when buying batteries before he was able to come back to take the girls to school.

The thing I found strange is it took them forever to just go out and say what happened. For the first half hour, unless you knew what was going on already b/c you heard what they were going to do with Paul's character, you may have been lost at first. I guess the crying and all would clue you in, but they just wouldn't say it until later in the show. I guess though it was too hard for them to admit in real life as well.

IT WAS SO SO SO SO SO SO SAD! I bawled through the whole thing.

But I'm kinda confused, I thought Paul was sent to the store by Kate for milk because later when Rory threw down his ceral and was asked why he said "Theres no milk" and no one said anything to that. But then the only reference they made to the batteries was when Kerry said " If he would have only looked in the drawer and saw the batteries" I have no idea. HELP!

Maybe they needed both milk and batteries? I only remembered the batteries but I wouldn't be surprised with the milk one. Especially since Rory was like "There's no milk!"

i bawled through the entire thing! it was sooo sad i thought. i started crying hardest when bridget asked "why is it then that the last thing i said to him was i hate you?" that just did it for me. i cried the entire rest of the show.

i think they did the entire show very respectfully. i was glad they didn't force a lot of humor into it; i think that would've been inappropriate. overall it was a wonderful, emotional episode. well done.

yeha i agree when bridget said that i couldn't stop crying..it was just so sad...i love watching 8 simple rules..and will continue to watch it forever and ever and ever!!

I meant to watch it but I missed it! I did see the last episode he taped and I cried at the end of that when they showed different clips of him.

For the whole 3 years on television primetime, the Hennessy family never failed to deliver an hour of entertainment each week. The plot is really close to real life of an ordinary family that’s why this show was loved by many fans! This is one of the Disney production’s best sitcom! It’s incredibly funny and unique – and suitable for all members of the family!

This family sitcom is way better than from any other genre of family-oriented shows. It’s purely candid and genuine - every member of the family who can watch this show can simply relate to each scenes! This show is not like any other sitcoms which are “trying hard”, its simply wacky in a very genuine type.

do still watch this show until now from the DVD Collection I bought from yourdvdcorner.com. Feels great to own the full 3 seasons of great entertainment. Certainly, one of the best sitcom Disney have ever created!
