I just got off the phone with dining and they only had 8pm and 9pm open for night we want to go to CG and see Wishes. I originally asked for 8:30pm but since it wasn't open I took 9pm. I am thinking 8pm could be too early especially if we were seated right away. I am thinking if I just show up around 8:30-8:45pm and then go to the bar and wait we should definately be seated by 9:30pm.

Any thoughts??

Based on a 10PM start time, I would normally try for a 8:30 - 8:40 ressie, but would show up around 8:00. If only 8:00 or 9:00 is available, I'd prefer the 8:00 ressie, but would show up right on time.

Good luck and enjoy.

Does it normally take a long time to be seated? I am afraid if we get seated at 8pm that we will be done before 10pm and the fireworks normally last 25min so that would be 2hr 30min meal. :confused3 I guess if everyone always has to wait at least 20min or more to be seated I should take the 8pm instead...

1) Wishes is approx 12-minutes long.
2) If it comes during dinner you can still see it.
3) If you have to get up to view it, your dinner will get cold.
4) An 8:00pm or 8:30pm ressie is best.

I just called ADR and cancelled out 9 pm reservations at Liberty Tree tavern because we would be missing the spectro magic as we would just be seated and then we wouldn't make the Wishes at 10pm because we would be eating.

So it is Lunch with Pooh at the Crystal Palace at 2:20 then back to the OKW for a nap with little one, then a grab a dinner and back to the park.

Sorry about your late reservations.

We had a similar situation when booking our PSs. We couldnt get 8:30 like we wanted. I went with 8:00 for a few reasons.

I have heard if you have a PS for an hour before the fireworks there is a chance you wont get seated until after the fireworks since people tend to linger.

Even if we were seated at 9:00, beginning to eat dinner after that is too late for me, nevermind if we dont get seated until after the fireworks. Plus I want to have some time after dinner to visit Jellyrolls(my mom is babysitting so DH and I want to get the most out of our night as possible).

I figure even if we are seated right at 8:00 and are done before 10:00, since I dont want to linger and keep a table from someone else, we could always get an after dinner drink at the bar and go outside to see the fireworks. I would hope they wouldnt kick us out. ;)

FWIW, I never go during busy times and I have never ever been seated right away, maybe I am the exception but it has just never happened to our family.

thanks everyone - I just called and switched it to an 8pm ADR. I agree with the above poster. We have my MIL babysitting this night so we too want to head out after and 9pm ressie could be a 9:30 or later sit down. I hope to be just ending when Wishes starts or at least on the balcony.

I LOVE Jellyrolls too but we may try the new Irish pub in DTD.
